@scotland, I can see Laurens and Anubis not getting along at all. They’re total opposites in both nature and appearance. Maybe Anubis has tried to challenge him before and they have a sort of tense relationship. If they see each other around they’re pretty stiff and hostile but neither wants to fight again because it usually turns out particularly vicious?

Salem is super arrogant and barely wants anything to do with the pack, only staying there so nothing bad happens to him. Hes very closed off and secluded.

Uh... I would like to join, but a question? Could I play as a coyote? I have wolves I could play instead, but since I don't think I am quite grasping the plot of this RP, playing a different species may account for that gap in understanding them. And I love playing coyotes in wolf packs XD

The plot is pretty easy to get. A coyote would likely make it even harder to understand plus realistically a coyote would be chased/killed off by the pack.
I suggest re-reading or just asking one of us for clarification in plot if you need.

Massive for a female, 32 inches at the shoulder and 95 pounds. She is far from a lightweight. Long capable legs, well muscled body. Not bulky, just powerful. Her strength shows easily on her blindingly white frame. Fur is relatively short, especially for a wolf, dense, and sort of shiny, from being more water resistant. Eyes as dark as ink, almost black, giving her the unmistakable likeness to depictions of Death. Though she would usually prefer you see them as a likeness to her namesake.

Personality: Harsh, short fuse, impulsive, brave, nervous, very low self esteem. Loyal to a fault. Caring, but in a tough love kind of way. Only listens to a strong authority, stubborn. Adaptive, but slow to learn. Longing for something she doesn't understand, has never seen before. Just now beginning to understand what acceptance feels like, she years to know what the love her parents robbed her of feels like. To feel anything other than apprehension. Untrusting, but wants to be able to trust. Likes pups, but is too afraid to chase that dream herself. She's rather mentally battered, all but broken by a hard life without any kindness to help her through it up to this point. Her past beat her down until all that was left was hard as iron, refined by fire. And now the ocean, the only thing that brought her any semblance of joy is so far away and she feels it keenly.

History: Her parents were wanderers from the start, hopping from pack to pack before she came along, and hopped on to the next pack without her. They were squirrelly like that. Wouldn't stay in one place for too long. Really suspicious. Which didn't help the pup they left behind at all. They couldn't take more than two with them in the move, for obvious reasons, so they left the runt. It seemed unlikely that she would survive anyway, because of her sickly nature and... well, even they were a little afraid of their daughter's appearance. But survive she did, much to the pack's dismay. Her adoptive mother had been perhaps the only among them to have seen a combination like hers, so she at least was unafraid. They lived close to the shores, because of the addition of the occasional washed up sea life. So Albatross grew up with a love for the ocean. It wasn't long, however, before she started getting blamed for when someone fell ill or food was scarce. She was chased off, and floated from pack to pack along the coast, but rumors of her kept following close behind. Soon she had to leave the coast entirely, and went far inland to escape her undeserved reputation.

RELATIONS

Laurens Positive, respected, wary. Because of her past dealings with wolves in power, she is unlikely to trust alphas especially, and Laurens is no exception. She's still waiting for him to chase her off. But he's so different than what she is used to, and earns his respect instead of demanding it. He asks more than demands, which is always more likely to get her to listen. But his authority is clear.
Folkvar Mixed, afraid, respected. Perhaps the only wolf that Albatross has ever been afraid of. One of the only authority figures she'll listen to, though she still doesn't all of the time. The fact that this guy's got a direct connection with the gods terrifies Albatross sometimes. Because she feels like they have been trying to kill her since she was born, Albatross is very wary of their messenger. At the same time, though, his actions speak of loyalty and care for the pack, which is something she hasn't seen in many wolves. His humble but sure personality make it hard for her not to flip flop from fearing him to wanting to know more.
Onyx Negative, frustrated. Everything about Onyx just rubs her the wrong way. The choices she makes, how she acts, all in top of the position she holds. Though Albatross tries to remind herself that a big reason for how she feels is because of how similarly they act. Abrasive, to the point. It enrages her constantly, as the people most like us often do. She sees all of her own worst qualities in Onyx and doesn't know what to do about it. Mostly Albatross avoids Onyx, on an attempt to avoid an all out fight. She doesn't listen to the Beta's commands unless she also thinks it is a good idea, and for the most part won't even look at her to keep herself calm.
Kesera TEXT
Ophelia Neutral, respected. While coarse like herself and Onyx, she doesn't make Albatross feel like getting into a tussle. Strangely, she doesn't feel the same frustration as with other strong personalities, and just sort of stays out of Ophelia's way. Not afraid of her, but not dismissive of her either. More likely to listen to her orders than Laurens and especially Thanatos, but mostly they don't walk in the same circles so there's been no need to.
Isorro Neutral, calming. Though in the same pack, she doesn't know much about him. He seems to be part of a different circle, much like Ophelia. Because of this she isn't worried when he is around. Doesn't act like the scheming sort, and doesn't order her around. All great things. But who knows what he could be like on closer inspection?
Thanatos Positive/Negative, respected. Perhaps the most physically capable wolf she's ever seen, and yet she still disobeys him. His authority seems weak, though that could be due to his age. She hasn't been around him much, but he has the unhappy habit of telling her what to do, and it is often the opposite of what she actually wants to do. But overall he's okay. Not mean or threatening, despite his size. He hasn't yet used his size to push others around, which is a huge plus. If he'd stop trying to tell her what to do she might actually like having him around.
Zuri Conflicted, protective, pleasant. Zuri is an adult, and at a higher rank she acts like a very young wolf still. Which sometimes annoys her, but most of the time she is happy to have Zuri around. Her being there lightens the mood, makes things seem more joyful than they really are. Adorable, if Albatross dares to think that of a full grown wolf. Her playful manner makes almost every situation better. She could do without her mouth sometimes... But honestly Albatross would kill to keep her safe. Almost a maternal instinct at play there, even though Albatross doesn't know what that would look like.
Davyn VERY negative, untrusting, confused. Everything that comes out of that puny brute's mouth confuses her. If he tries to explain the finer points of weather patterns to her One. More. Time she might just kill him. That, or his attempts at... whatever he is doing. The same as Calla, except way more annoying, since Calla's flirting has never been directed at her. How can someone like that be trusted? Albatross may or may not have tried more than once to take a chunk out of his face...
Calla Negative, perplexed, protective. Her flirtatious ways leave Albatross stunned more than anything else. Tack on annoyed. What is she even doing? And why? She feels she cannot respect someone so needy. How has she survived that long? And yet Albatross has found herself on more than one occasion trying to complete things so that Calla doesn't have to. She worries about Calla's safety the same as every other small female, it seems.

Kiara Positive, protective, partnership. They seem like two opposite sides of the same coin, and mutually benefit from each other. Where Albatross is strong and dominant, Kiara is smart and gentle. Kiara's cowering distresses her, and she hopes to instill more confidence in her. All in all, Albatross prefers her company, and would rather work beside her than anyone else. She is able to trust Kiara a little, which is rare.
Daenarys Positive, protective, respected. Dany was the first wolf Albatross crossed in these lands, and the first to give her hope that she had finally ran far enough away to not be hated anymore. She was the one who spoke of the pack that Albatross now resides in, and she wonders when Dany will follow. Her soft but sure nature intrigues and calms Albatross, who hopes to learn from them. Albatross often worries about her though, and seeks her out often to check on her safety.
Anubis Mixed, curious, untrusting. She's only seen him the one time, but that one time gave her the impression of a carrion bird. Sort of gross, in a way. She wonders what about him everyone seems so flustered about, because she didn't see much to worry her. About herself, anyway. His massive size make Albatross feel on edge about all of the smaller females that she often feels the need to keep safe. So, while on her own she wouldn't likely care, Albatross would prefer if he wasn't around.
