WHO I WANNA BE IS WHO I AM Ryver Starr Sambora was born on April 2nd sixteen years ago in Woodbridge, New Jersey to a Cuban musician named Marina and, as she was told, an American musician named Richie Sambora. Richie knew she wasn't his, as Marina had told him about her affair. They worked through it, though, and the family became very close. Richie treated her very much like his own daughter and had a fairly normal infant hood (if that's even a thing). She would go with her parents on small tours around the US and she was a happy little baby. When she was 3 years old, her sister, Skylar Paisley, was born. She was so happy to be an older sister. But even then, something felt off.
She grew into a 5-year-old and was diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia. She didn't fit in at school. She would always get made fun of. Her only friend was a disabled boy named Ackley. She got in trouble a lot and moved around to different schools, Ackley oddly following her. She never cared, though. Her only friend was with her. But then weird things started happening. She noticed she could read ancient Greek in the museums or in text books, but she couldn't read English. She noticed she could stay underwater for long periods of time and even breathe underwater. Water sometimes bent to her will and she wouldn't get wet. Ackley would always jokingly call her Water Bender. Oh, how true that was.
When she was 7 years old, the monster attacks were intense and she felt like she was a danger to her family. So, she ran away. She left to the beach and sat there, supposedly alone, until someone touched her shoulder. Scared, she turned around and saw a man. He had a calm demeanor to him. He was tall and lean. He had raven black hair like hers and, also, sea green eyes like hers. There were crinkles around his eyes and mouth that showed he liked to laugh and smile. He was very tan and muscular. He wore a sea green Tommy Bahama shirt and Bermuda shorts, sandals donning his feet. She looked up at him and asked fearlessly if he was her father. He smiled and nodded and kept her safe until Ackley arrived, giving her a pen.
When Ackley arrived, she turned to introduce him to her father, but he wasn't there. Confused, she started heading out. That is, until a few harpies decided to try and attack. Ackley told her to uncap the pen and when she did, the pen turned into a sword. She fought two out of three of the harpies. The other tried to attack Ackley when he wasn't looking, but she unknowingly summoned a small hurricane, leading to the harpy exploding into gold dust. When she released control and things settled down, she passed out and Ackley carried her all the way to Camp Half-Blood.
The minute Ackley carried her across the border, an Apollo kid took her from him and carried her to the infirmary. While she was unconscious, she was claimed by Poseidon. This shocked everybody. Poseidon hadn't had many kids since Percy Jackson, so it was still a rare feat. She was taught the ropes by Elias McAshtin, the son of Zeus. They became pretty close, although they don't let anybody in on that secret. When she was 11, a kid named Jacob Bongiovi stumbled across the border. She and Elias took him under their wings and the trio became quite close.
Ryver is much like the sea she came from. Most of the time, she can be calm, cool, and collected. Very relaxed and laid back. She has a very sarcastic and witty sense of humor, so she's quick if you leave yourself vulnerable. People tend to gravitate towards her because her aura is very calming and she makes people smile. But once you get her angry, watch out. She can be very dangerous. It's like flipping a light switch. Especially when she's protecting her friends. She will not hesitate to cut you down if you mess with them. Also when she's angry, it's hard for her to control her mouth. She might say things she wouldn't otherwise say. She's a fierce leader and pretty brave. She will take any risk to keep those she's with safe. She's very rebellious, so don't tell her what to do. Because of things she's faced, she's no longer scared of mortal affairs. Her loyalty is her fatal flaw. She would lay down her life before anything happened to those she loves.
Ryver's main weapon is Riptide. The sword was forged in the fires of Mt. Etna and cooled in the water of the river Lethe. It draws its power from the ocean, which is why she can use it so well like her late half-brother. Former users included Hercules, Zoe Nightshade, and Percy Jackson.
Ryver's appearance is much like her father's. She has his raven black hair, although hers is curly, furthering her Jersey Beach Babe look with her Mediterranean skin tone. Her eyes are sea green like her father's, as well. She's tall for a girl, standing at 5'9. She only weighs about 120, leaving her pretty thin, but she has plenty of muscle from 9 years of training. She likes to wear black and red leather as well as sea green, dark purple, and white.

WHO I WANNA BE IS WHO I AM Jacob Hurley Bongiovi was born on July 19th about sixteen years ago in Red Bank, New Jersey to a Jewish rock n' roll musician named Avigail Janette and an Italian-descended musician named John Francis Bongiovi Jr. She had an older sister named Morgan, who he loved dearly. John never had a reason to doubt Jacob was his son. The family was very happy together, so why tear that apart? He always went to the concerts his parents put on and even joined them onstage a few times. This elicited a lot of attention from record companies, as the young boy had quite a bit of talent. He was offered a deal multiple times, but his parents always declined, saying he was too young. Which he was. His sister, Julia Courtney, was born when he was 7 and his brother, Zachary John, was born when he was 9.
When he started to go to school, he was diagnosed with Dyslexia and ADHD. Despite all this, he was quite popular given his flirtatious attitude and good looks. But where he shined the most was music class. He got all the solos because he had a very amazing voice and could play any instrument without issues. Actually, he was in both band AND orchestra. Imagine that! Weird things started happening, though, and he got kicked out of schools pretty often due to these weird events. The older he got, he also found poetry and medicine came easy to him, but he stuck with music. He even formed his own band in sixth grade. How cool is that?
But, the attacks were getting serious and his mother sat him down one day while John was at work. She told him his father was actually a god. Apollo, god of the sun, music, medicine, poetry, prophecy, oracles, and truth. This surprised him, yet it didn't. It surprised him because his suspicions were correct. He had always felt that the Greek myths he learned in school were real. And they were! So, he was taken to Camp Half-Blood when he was 11. He was attacked by a monster, but he survived and made it across the border in one piece. This is where he met Ryver and Elias, who took him in. They became very close friends.
He had always been a summer camper, going home after the summer term was over. He would go back to his mother's house in New Jersey and go off to boarding school for the year. John finally found out he wasn't his. He was pretty upset, but vowed to not treat him any differently than Morgan, Julia, and Zach. To his relief, he stayed true on that promise. Last year, though, tragedy hit the family. A monster got into their house and killed his mother. He hasn't told anybody that this is the reason he has chosen to stay full year. Not even Elias, his best friend knows.
How do you describe a son of Apollo? The better question is: how do you describe Jacob Hurley Bongiovi? He oozes self-confidence wherever he goes, which gets him all the ladies. He's quick to make a haiku, which earns him groans from anyone who happens to be in the area. He's a bright guy (no pun intended) and never lets anything rain on his parade unless it's dead serious. He's always cheerful and smiling, which can get on people's nerves. His fatal flaw is over-confidence and he can get quite embarrassed when put in his place. Be prepared for a ton of cheesy haikus. He'll always have those at the ready. He's mischievous and sneaky, so be on your guard unless you want to be pranked. Despite how he acts, he's actually incredibly intelligent.
Jacob's main weapon is his bow, Sunrise. It stays strapped on his back for easy access. His quiver also turns invisible and it's also strapped to his back. He has a favorite arrow. It was given to him by his father personally. It was made by Hephaestus and blessed by Apollo, so this arrow will never miss, although it's rare for him to miss anyway. It stays in its hold that's strapped to his arm, hidden by a light jacket.
Jacob earned the nickname Hollywood at a young age for a reason. He looks like a movie star! He has very bright blonde hair and equally bright blue eyes. He's tall, standing at 6'2 and is very muscular. He weighs in at about 165 lbs, most of it being muscle. He does have a scrawny build, but that's okay. His hair is shoulder length and can be pretty wild at times.

WHO I WANNA BE IS WHO I AM Melody Philomela Torres's life has been nothing short of complicated and a lie. She thought she was born on November 11, 1929 in New York City. She thought her name was Marina Novia Torres, a daughter of a Cuban mother named Samara Calandara Torres and an American father named Edward Joseph Smith. She thought she got her blonde hair and grey eyes from her father, who had the same features. That is, until her real father forced Samara to tell her the truth when she was 8 years old. That's when she was told that her father was Apollo, the god of the sun, music, and poetry. To her, it explained her obsession and ease with music and archery and why she loved to be out in the sun. She was forced to go to the camp, which she actually looked forward to.
At said camp, she was claimed by Apollo and given a bow and arrow with a weird engraving in ancient Greek. It spelled Melody Philomela. The bow fit perfectly, which shocked Chiron. But, he let it go when she insisted she had no idea what or who Melody Philomela was, although she got a weird feeling from it. It wasn't long before she became best friends with two boys and two girls. One of the boys was named Santiago Adolphus Abraham, a son of Poseidon. The other's name was Hilliard Hardin Kegley, a son of Hephaestus. The one girl was Zola Violette Levard, a daughter of Athena. The other was Mozelle Leota Heminger, a daughter of Hermes. A year later, World War II started, which was Zeus and Poseidon's kids against Hades's. The other gods and goddesses took sides, but she stood by Santiago, Hilliard, and Zola. Over the years, she became very close to Hilliard, so close that they started dating when they were 12.
When she was 16, her and Hilliard married. Yes, right in the middle of the war. Then started the final battle, led by Hitler, a son of Hades. She watched as Santiago was killed by a hydra. She watched as Zola was stabbed through the chest by a skeleton warrior. She watched as Mozelle was burned alive. She fought through the monsters until she reached Hitler, who used Samara as bait. Once she reached him, he slit her mother's throat. In a rage, she attacked. Even though her main weapon was a bow and arrow, she was pretty skilled with a sword, having been taught by Hilliard. She was disarmed by Hitler, who took a swing that should've killed her. She braced herself, but opened her eyes when she heard a groan and saw that Hilliard had taken the blow for her. In his final moments, he said he loved her and said something about having to protect her before giving her his sword. Once he took his final breath, time stood still as the daughter of Apollo went on the offensive. After finally managing to disarm Hitler, she stabbed him through the chest, instantly killing him. As she did so, she spat in his face and said, "Erre es koraks."
The shroud burning lasted for a week, seeing as so many demigods lost their lives in the war. She grieved for a long time after. She didn't leave her cabin and Chiron had to force feed her. She had recurring nightmares of the deaths of her friends and family over the 7 years of battle. She became shut off and reserved, rarely speaking. Not even her siblings could get her to talk. She basically went mute. That is, until she was offered a spot in the Hunters of Artemis. She joined without hesitation, keeping her wedding ring on her finger. Hilliard was the only man for her and she would cut down anyone who dared argue. But, as she grew, she found the name didn't fit her. Marina was a hispanic name and even though she was supposedly half-Cuban, she didn't feel like it.
Apollo finally decided to finally tell her some truth. She was actually born in ancient Greece in 1260 B.C. and she was born as Melody Philomela to him and an unspoken goddess, who refused to come forward as her mother. This makes her age 4,348. As she got older, she trained harder than ever. She met a man named Okeanos Hesperos, a demigod son of Hephaestus, when he was appointed her protector by the sun god himself. They dated and got married at 16. He was made partially immortal and they went into hiding, far from Greece. In 1929, suspicions arose regarding the mystery daughter of Apollo, so Apollo begged Hecate to turn her into a demigod infant and she did. Apollo gave her to Samara with Hecate twisting the mist to make it seem like it was her daughter with Apollo. And the biggest blow: Hilliard was Okeanos in disguise. He died protecting his mistress as he swore on the Styx to do millennia ago. Only Apollo, the girl's mother, and Artemis knew of this. Artemis knows because he explained when he begged his sister to take her in as a huntress. Over the years, she has regained memory of the 3 millennia she couldn't before.
Melody is usually quiet. She doesn't like to talk much except to Lady Artemis and a few of the older hunters. To those she doesn't talk to or more specifically a boy, she seems cold. She has a great poker face (189 years of practice pays off) and rarely smiles. When you do get her talking, you'll find her to be sweet and caring. Almost mother-like. You also see the pain she still holds within her, using it as a motive to fight. She's fiercely loyal to the hunt and Lady Artemis, as well as her father. She doesn't hate boys because she was hurt by one. No. She despises boys because they aren't Okeanos. Any attempt at wooing her makes her anger come out. She's fierce and doesn't hold back, all with a deadly calm expression that would make even Kronos shiver. Couples make her sad, but she disguises it by glaring at the boy.
To most people, she's known as Philomela, which is Greek for Music Lover. To close friends, she is either Melody, Mel, or Philo, although she only lets Lady Artemis call her Philo, as that's what Okeanos used to call her.
She has a grey Alpha female wolf named Luna Cadence. She only talks to the wolf in Greek, which she seems to understand.
Melody's main weapon is a bow and arrow, which the bow's name is Melodic Sunrise with her name carved underneath the name. She used this to defend herself and Okeanos as they hid from the gods over 3 millennia. She also found herself using a sword that was named Symphony. When Hilliard/Okeanos handed her his sword, which was named Burning Embers, she kept it for herself. Burning Embers is always sheathed, Melodic Sunrise transforms from a reed pipe, Symphony is disguised as a crescent moon and sun necklace, and she has hunting knives sheathed in her belt and one strapped in each boot. She is the only hunter allowed to have as many weapons as she does.
Melody is tall for a girl, standing at 5'9. She's bone thin and keeps it that way. Her blonde hair obviously comes from her father, but her grey eyes come from the unspoken goddess she was mothered by. She wears her hunting outfit, which includes a camouflage green and silver jacket, camouflage pants with silver piping down the sides, and dark brown hunting boots. She allows her blonde hair to flow freely, as it never gets in her way. She also has a silver circlet to show she's the lieutenant of the hunters.
