It’s not unusual to find him communicating with Lanu or praying for good fortune. He is a very good story teller, and knows how to make an old tale exciting for pups and young dogs. Bakari has always been known as approachable and charismatic. He won’t ever miss an opportunity to pas his knowledge to a dog seeking advice.

past ‣ There has always been something special about Bakari. From a young age, hunting and fighting never came close to peaking his interest. His mind was forever on the gods. He wanted to please them, and even as a pup gifted them with offerings. The previous shaman took Barkari under his wing and began to mentor him to take the role once he passed. The god’s decision to choose Bakari was correct. He learned well, and had an insight for communicating with them after his mentor passed away.

Due to his age, Bakari’s muzzle has already started to gray. His coat appears unkempt and untidy around his chest and neck, with loose tufts usually hanging from his guard hairs. Bakari’s body isn’t in great condition. His old legs cause too much walking painful which is why he usually remains at camp. His eyes are vaguely glazed over, limiting his vision.

He will argue for sickly dogs, if he feels they need more food and will spend days away from camp searching to vitals he needs to help the tribe. His job takes complete dedication and he knows this. Tau won’t stand by and do nothing while there is work to be done.

past ‣ Tau wasn’t raised in the Inja Tribe. Instead, he was part of an eastern tribe. Their beliefs conflicted his, however. In their ranks, there was no room for a healer. The weak died. The strong lived. The chief caught him trying to help a sickly pup, and Tau was attacked, leaving his ears torn and ripped along the edges. But he never gave up on his desires. Grateful to have found the Inja Tribe, he put his skills to good use there, and found he’d actually make a pretty decent healer.

Tau’s coat is completely black, with a few hints of orange and white highlighting his coat. He isn’t a big dog, and takes the form of a smaller, slender tribe member, allowing him to gather his supplies fast and move around without using too much effort. His eyes are a dark brown but usually reflect a light chestnut in the sunlight.
