- when i say two people are "expected" to get together
that just means their parents were just like "you gotta
try to marry this guy/gal so we can end the fight with
their country!!" it's possible these people could've nev-
er met before this night, it's possible one of the people
isn't attracted to the other's gender or even just perso-
nality. the point is that to many of these character's p-
arents this is like an intro to making sacrifices for the
good of the country for these youths. accept it's actu-
ally their choice on wether or not they'll make that s-
acrifice or even if it's gonna be a sacrifice at all(like
if they end up forming a genuine romantic relations-
hip over the course of the whole gala).

eleanor is a typically likable person, although that often c t
ontradicts with her actual duties. maybe it was because sh
e was ultra focused on her future as a child and that has l
ead her to seem naturally intelligent and a strong but now
she's shown to be more interested in keeping up a good f
ace on social media rather than in the castle. it's almost li
ike she's having a midlife crisis at nineteen, but at least th
at means she's fun. also confident and optimistic! but of co

Alessia Vella is a devil in disguise. She could make anyone do anything she wanted without them even realising she was pulling the strings. Alessia was born in Valetta, Malta on April 12th, 1998. She was quickly followed by her younger sister Marie-Claire. Her parents were very strict Catholics, forcing Ali to attend church every Sunday and take Religion and Ethics classes from age nine. As a result, she came to resent her parents and religion, deciding to become a devout atheist out of spite. This conversion enraged her parents and nearly drove them to the point of disowning Ali and making Marie-Claire their heiress. Instead, they ignored Ali emotionally, channelling their frustration into her training. She was stripped of all privileges and simply spent her time preparing for the day when she would wear the crown.

personality. zac, to the disappointment of his prim and proper parents, is quite the stereotypical australian. though he's not quite a bogan (being brought up in sydney), he still understands all the slang and can speak it just as well, if not better, than a queenslander. when speaking properly, he sounds like a well-educated private school kid from sydney, which he is, but when around his mates he tends to relax and let out a few words that his father would most likely lock him in his room for. zac can be a bit of a larrikin, often pulling small pranks on others for the fun of it. he views the gala as the perfect opportunity to get to know people from other countries and a place where he can possibly pull off a prank or two. unbeknownst to his parents, he already has a girlfriend, though the relationship is starting to crash (break up will be via phone call in first few posts). zac is genuinely confused as to why everybody thinks he doesn't live in a castle. why do they think it's called castle hill?
history. zac was born and raised in his family's castle in the suburb of castle hill, just outside of sydney, new south wales. he was home-schooled for the first three years of primary school, but soon convinced his parents to send him to school. he, surprisingly, attended a public school until he was in year 6. his parents then sent him to a private school for his high school years.
