Welcome to the Tongass National Forest, the nation's
largest national forest. The Tongass covers most of Southeast
Alaska surrounding the famous Inside Passage and offers unique
chances to view eagles, bears, spawning salmon, and the
breath-taking vistas of "wild" Alaska. Yet you're not here for the
beautiful view of lies. The wolves deserve better than that.
Not the snapshots barely capturing the dangers and terrors
that Mother Nature has in store for them.
The life of a wolf has never been easy. They've faced natural
disasters like flooding and forest fires, humans building over
their homes. The general species has fought tooth and nail to
survive this long. There is no way that they will die out like
nature tries to deny them of their right to live. Especially the
wolves of Tongass National Forest, located in Alaska. These
wolves have fought tooth and claw to make it where they are
today. But now. Nothing could have prepared them for what
has to come.
There's been an outbreak of a disease among the wolves of
the area. Those within a pack or not. It's a viral disease that's
both airborne and as well as coming into contact with a sick
wolf's bodily fluids. The original alpha of the largest pack in
the area, the Tongass Survivors, fell ill to this virus after fighting
off a loner who had been infected with this disease. After
showing signs of illness, he had attacked his mate up until the
Beta could subdue him. As a pack, it was decided to send him
away to face the treacherous terrain of the mountains. They
thought they were safe after that. But the disease is still
coming. Still spreading. What will the wolves of Tongass do?

Rain - Beta; It’s pretty obvious to say that these two are good friends. They grew up together in a sense, having the same personality in a way. Though because of that, butting heads isn’t something very shocking. With the recent change of ranking and the fear of the unknown, their relationship has been a little rocky as to how to handle the situation within the pack. Slowly they’ll come to an agreement and do what’s best for each other as well as their pack. (Possible romantic interest) ✓
Marigold - Healer; Out of everyone else within the pack, she by far holds his uttermost respect. He treats her as if she was his own mother, practically rasising him after he was found wandering alone within the pack territory as a few months old. He’d do anything for her yet it broke his own heart to send away the old alpha. He meant the most to these two, affecting hem both dearly yet in different ways. Shockingly he isn’t aware of her wandering to study sick wolves, and depending on how long it goes on for without his knowledge, their relationship might strain. ✓
Camellia - Healer's Apprentice; Sweet and bright young girl, holds a lot of potential. She seems to be a good choice to hold the next healer position when and if the previous finally leaves this plain. They aren’t the closest as he is with most of the pack, but has offered a shoulder to cry on when needed. Soul knows some of her insecurities and will always give his voice of approval when needed for be young female. ✓
Esseker - Lead Guard; These two are basically brothers. It’s common knowledge to know that this guard takes his job very seriously and don’t hang around others often. But there must have been an exception for the new alpha, both of them managing to get along in their older years. As young adolescents, they butted heads, trying to outdue one another. Many wrestling matches were held by the brutes, never serious but often vicious. Yet without the desire for competition, these two have been known to eat together, go on patrols or accompany another to chase off loners. Way before this sickness. ✓
Victorie - Lead Scavenger; Quite the intriguing wolf, capturing his attention since they first met. He admires her skills, landing her lead position for her fast paced and successful hunting. She’s different from the other female packmembers, not holding that sweet charm, but the blunt yet deeply charming personality. He’s only witnessed the subtle caring and compassionate emotions a few times after their meeting. But nothing has deterred his interest. Despite the recent anxiety and tension, the desire to become closer friends is still there. At least from his head. (Possible love interest) ✓
Midnight - Subordinate; There is no sugarcoating this one, he dislikes the more aggressive subordinate. He does his jobs well, but his self centered nature rubs his pelt the wrong way. They’ve gotten into a few arguments, mainly to put the brute back in his place when he overstepped his bounds toward the old alpha. There is a level of respect and would defend him as much as any other pack mate, but Soul just holds a tolerance for this male. ✗
Magni - Subordinate; Despite the skittish personality of the young male, Soul likes him. There is a desire for almost a change of the subordinate, just a wish he wasn’t as paranoid of his surroundings and to be more comfortable within his own skin. He does his best to compensate and to pay close attention to male, but it is a wonder how he wasn’t placed in the omega position. Not that it would be a bad thing, he makes sure that the lower ranked wolves are treated with as much respect as the others. ✓
Mo - Subordinate Sweet ol’ wolf in his opinion, though he seems much older and wiser than his years. Not the strongest in the pack physically, causing Soul to worry about the male if he manages to get sick. There wouldn’t be a way to pull him through. Would consider the subordinate a friend. ✓
Fleur - Subordinate There isn’t much he can really say or feel about this female; she’s much more reserved and stand-offish compared to the other wolves within the pack. It seems as if she has a harder time to connect with her packmates than others; as if she can’t find her words. But Soul has noticed her hobbies of collecting some things as well as giving them away to those close to her. Maybe as a gesture of appericiation. He had once found a small crystal of some sort on the river bed and gave it to her, hoping she would find use and understand it as a sign of welcoming. ☐
Fallen Leaves - Loner; Soul doesn’t do much talking to the loners, more of the chasing off. Because of the outbreak, he’s been for more warry of those who enter his territory. If he accepted the female into the pack and got to know her, perhaps he’d like her. But for now she’s a possible threat to the rest of his pack. ☐
Kada - Loner; If the pair had met, it could go in either direction. His values and beliefs could be something Soul would admire and try to understand to the best of his ability. Yet depending on his words and actions toward him as an authority figure or to his pack; he could become a threat. But the sickness would be a scent on the loner if he in fact did have it, and would be chased out of the territory. ☐

Lone Soul - Alpha; She’s always been wary of those within power, many like to abuse the gift they’re given and to put down others. And due to the male’s own cautious nature, it would be hard to have an immediate feeling over the other. If accepted into the pack and was treated like the rest, Autumn would feel the uttermost appreciation for the aloha for doing something for someone that isn’t even apart of the pack. ☐ or✓
Rain - Beta; These two could most likely get off on the right foot, most likely trying to outwit the other in the form of jokes after the original tension slipped away. Marigold - Healer; Without a doubt, she would be her favorite of the pack if the two met and got to know one another. The healer would seem so sweet and have just a motherly look to her, despite the obvious sorrow in her eyes. Camiella - Healer's Apprentice; Would seem really sweet and really shy. Autumn would do her best to seem non threatening to the younger female, but would ultimately give the other her space. Wouldn’t mind giving a helping paw to her or a shoulder to lean on when needed. Canny would seem much more like a younger sister than anything. ✓
Esseker - Lead Guard; In the beginning, he’d most likely intimidate her. Very serious with his job as well as being very large like the alpha. Yet much more aggressive with his job. If she were to be given the chance to grow closer and get to know the male, Autumn wouldn’t have any issues in becoming friends. Or even something more. (Potential love interest) ☐ or✓
Victorie - Lead Scavenger; Because of her outright blunt nature or her seriousness, they might get off on the wrong foot. She has the qualities to be rather indimidating but also even a friend in some sort of way. It would take a while for Autumn to gain an opinion of the female. Despite being caught in the middle, the loner would hold a high level of respect for the scavenger for doing what she does well. Perhaps they could give each other hunting tips, assuming their styles were different. ☐
Midnight - Subordinate; Upon first meeting, he would appear way to aggressive. Possibly even sick himself due to his personality from what she’d see. Because of this, Fallen Leaves would do her best to avoid the male in any situation, especially for being new if she joined the pack, she would have no prior knowledge of him as well as any way to correctly respond. It would be better to avoid a situation all together and make life easier for herself. ✗
Magni - Subordinate; The very shy younger male would spark the maternal instincts hiddden away in the female. He seems very caring and sweet, definitely one that she would have friendly affections for. It is a wonder how he didn’t land the omega position within the pack, but it wouldn’t be something Autumn would outright ask. Would like to be friends and would try her best to calm his paranoia down if given the chance. ✓
Mo - Subordinate He would definitely hold the title of being her second favorite if she was apart of the pack; his caring personality just draws her to him like a moth to a light. Definitely appears wiser than he is, that’s for sure. ✓
Fleur - Subordinate Quieter than the rest, meaning she probably wouldn’t get a good enough idea about the shy female. She isn’t intimidating in any fashion in her eyes but definitely someone she would be surimi’s to get to know. If given the chance, her collection would definitely interest her and Autumn herself would try and find things to give to the subordinate. Maybe even a possible friendship could form if the other was willing. ☐ or ✓
Kada - Loner; If they manage to meet, she would automatically try to find an outing. It wouldn’t be anything specific against the other male loner, it’s just be his scent. Sickly wolves gain this almost bitter and subtle scent underneath their original. It’s not something many will notice right away, but it’s a gradual build up. Something like gasoline but not as strong. Autumn is wary of loners to begin with, all having the possibility to become sick. She actually met the old alpha in the mountain, his erratic and aggressive behavio scaring her away before she could even investigate. Therefore; the female would not take a chance with this male. ☐

this male is lucky he isn't an omega, it's only due to his superb hunting ability that he is

er lack of strength he does have a way of dealing with others' issues and problems while
still exhibiting a sensitive side and outlook on things. Unlike many male wolves Magni is
extremely submissive to those in the pack- he is well aware he should be an Omega but
beyond they he doesn't yearn for dominance or power within the societal hierarchy, to
be blunt it almost seems as if this male would thrive in a situation with no hierarchy. H
e seems to get along with everyone for the most part, his hard work and loyal nature ai

Soul. Alpha. - ♡✔ - It's clear to anyone that Rain holds Soul nearest to her heart. She's closest to him and he is her dearest friend. His stoic nature is alluring to her and it's not uncommon that she butts heads with him. Due to the recent shift in the hierarchy of the pack and the illness she's distanced herself slightly. Though in time she's sure to rebound and discuss what is to be done regarding the well being of the pack. Deep down Rain holds a love for Soul that surpasses a platonic feeling.

Autumn. Loner. - ✔ - It's highly likely that these two would hit it off. Autumn's sarcasm would contrast nicely with Rain's and would likely lead to some friendly banter. After the obvious tension of Autumn being a loner and Rain being the Tongass' beta they could likely forge a friendship.

Magni. Sub. - ▨ - It's hard to Rain to relate to this subordinate on any level. His skiddish and paranoid nature call out to the deeply hidden maternal instinct she harbors but at the very same moment his cowardice annoys Rain to no end. While she can understand his paranoia about getting ill to a degree the extent he takes it surpasses Rain's ability to soothe.

Esseker. Lead Guard. - ✔ - This brute is one of few, aside from Soul, who has Rain's respect. She admires his work ethic and hardwork though his lack of humor is a turn away for this sarcastic and often flirtatious female. From a Beta's point of view she relies on Esseker to do his job, and do it well. Which he has time and time again. She feels she'd never really have to direct this brute into doing his tasks as it's clear he does them without even being bothered. She'd like to further know him and perhaps forge a friendship.

Marigold. Healer. - ⊟ - While maintaining Rain's respect as the healer of the pack Rain has found herself questioning the closeness of Marigold with their previous Alpha- not that it is her place to do so but nonetheless, she finds it quite a curious matter. Rain doesn't know the female closely but does admire her scientifically driven mind and it's possible that Rain would like to learn from Marigold. Not knowing about Marigold's mid-night excursions to seek out the illness it's likely if Rain were to find out their relationship would end on a negative note.

Kada. Loner. - ✖ - It's almost assured that upon meeting Rain wouldn't like this male. Even with Rain's often sarcastic auttitude she does hold the upmost respect for authority, everyone works to earn their place within a pack and that is one notion that she understands greatly. His lack of respect for authority figures would annoy her to the greatest extent. While she'd likely respect his values and try to understand them she is one wolf who seems set in the ways of what she was taught and wouldn't waver in the slightest to try and better fit his morals.

Camellia. Healer's Apprentice. - ✔ - Her sweet and bubbly nature would allure Rain in a sense of comfort. Despite being older than this wolf Rain would likely seek out her optimism in times of stress or sorrow. Otherwise Rain doesn't find herself interacting much with Cammy, though if she were around when Cammy felt particularly down or insecure it's a safe bet that Rain would try and uplift this female.

Midnight. Sub. - ✖ - His arrogance will cost him and that is something Rain is aware of. This brute's aggression and self-centered nature rubs Rain the wrong way as she vehemently believes that such characteristics belong no where within the pack. It's only a wonder that Rain tolerates him though if he were to ever disrespect her, or Soul for that matter, it's highly likely she'd lash out to put him in his place and correct his behavior.

Mo. Sub. - ✔ - Rain loves this brute in a platonic and possibly even familial sense. His sweet and comforting nature are something to relish in the current woes of the world and that is something she isn't keen to overlook. This brute is one of few whom Rain tries relentlessly to ease about the illness and she fears greatly that he will fall ill due to his track record with being sick. She'd likely be more protective of Mo and sees him more as family than anything else despite the obvious fact that they aren't related.

Victorie. Lead Scavenger. - ⊟ - Obviously Rain respects this female in the simple sense that she's Lead Scavenger and has proven to be a very capable and reliable huntress for the pack. Prior to Rain becoming Beta it wasn't uncommon to see her get in a small spat with Victorie simply because Rain had a tendency to be sarcastic with some, though with her new rank within the pack her sarcasm now seems saved for those close to her who understand her sometimes dry and sarcastic wit. Overtime Rain would likely have a positive view of Victorie due to her hardworking nature and possibly even form a bond.

Fleur. Sub. - ✔ - Sweet, sweet Fleur. Rain would love to invite Fleur to simply sit with her in the morning near the stream and simply enjoy the little things in a quite serene moment. Rain admires Fleur's ability to admire the little things and that is something Rain has actually tried to learn from the female- to stop and simply enjoy. Plus it seems Fleur has an innate ability to ease Magni's paranoid mind and that is a great relief and aid. However Rain often avoids this female in fear of Fleur getting the wrong impression due to her often sarcastic attitude, perhaps with time Rain could further know her.

Soul. Alpha. - ✔ - Obviously Magni respects Soul as the current, reigning Alpha of Tongass and would follow the brute almost anywhere. Magni could almost see himself living vicariously through him due to his courageous and heroic personality. Despite not being able to relate too much to Soul he does have a considerable amount of trust and faith in the male to lead the pack out of harms way. Magni would be saddened if Soul were to end up like the previous Alpha.

Rain. Beta. - ✔ - Despite being nearly polar opposites Magni holds a certain level of respect for Rain as she is the Beta after all and the simple fact that she seems to be trying her hardest to keep morale within the pack high. Despite her best efforts her tactics fail to work on Magni- not that it's her fault. However he finds her detail oriented mind a bit of a curiosity as he has noticed she tends to obsess over seemingly insignificant things.

Esseker. Lead Guard. - ▨ - Being a better hunter than fighter has meant that Magni doesn't spend a considerable amount of time around this no-nonsense brute. While admiring Esseker's seriousness for the pack's safety afar Magni would really rather keep his distance from the brute for the simple fact he'd hate to get in his way. However he does find himself itching with curiosity as to what this male's scars are from- though he'd never ask.

Victorie. Lead Scavenger. - ▨ - Magni often works with Victorie simply due to his ability in hunting. However her honest and blunt personality would likely lead to some sore feelings and he isn't keen to try and get his feelings hurt by someone who holds his respect to some degree. He admires her hardwork within the pack but otherwise feels indifferent about her.

Marigold. Healer. - ⊟ - Magni blatantly doesn't know how to feel around Mari. He feels he could trust her with his health but otherwise knows very, very little of her. Since Magni isn't the most observant of pack-members he hasn't really noticed anything of her other than she's quite a suitable healer. He would certainly seek her out with any medical needs but otherwise might find her intelligence intimidating.

Camellia. Healer's Apprentice. - ♡✔ - She's always been kind and sweet from Magni's understanding and surprisingly, he doesn't feel intimidated by her intelligence. Instead he appreciates the fact that she is more on the understanding side of things as this paranoid brute often feels very misunderstood and quite frankly, judged due to his paranoid mindset.

Fleur. Sub. - ✔ - Magni thinks of Fleur as his one sole place of comfort. She's always been kind to him and he will always be to same to her. To be perfectly honest Fleur is Magni's one last strand of sanity within the pack and if not for her he's sure he'd be off his rocker by now. He doesn't understand how she can be so serene and calm within times like these but he doesn't even mind. He isn't sure if she knows or not but Magni holds Fleur on a pedestal above the pack simply because she seems too pure compared to the others.

Mo. Sub. - ▨ - Surprisingly enough Magni isn't particularly close to this brute who seems to share the same nervous likeness to himself. Magni tends to avoid Mo actually in simple fear that their nerves would simply manifest off each other and create a whole new issue for him to deal with. However he can't say Mo isn't sweet because it's clear as day that he is.

Midnight. Sub. - ✖ - It's a safe bet to say that Magni either hates Midnight or is scared out of his mind of this larger brute. His aggressive attitude either forces Magni to tuck his tail and let out a sharp whine or run to the hills. The one thing this brute is good for according to Magni is entertainment in the fashion of watching him be corrected by Soul. Otherwise Magni actively avoids this male's presence in any way he can. If that means sparking up an intense and erratic conversation with the wolf closest to him then by all means.

Kada. Loner. - ⊟ - Magni has heard of this wolf's ways on the wind from other passerbys and really doesn't know how to feel. Meeting face to face and Magni would likely submit just to appease him and avoid any fashion of confrontation. If Kada were to try and press his morals or values on Magni the male would either buy into them or merely nod and agree for the sake of friendship.

Autumn. Loner. - ✔ - Magni has really only ever scented this wolf around the outskirts of the territory on the rare occasions he is asked to go patrolling. If they were to meet it's likely that he'd cling to her gentle and sweet personality and form a strong bond with her over time. He'd likely not feel threatened or intimidated by her articulate mindset but instead seek her insight to any troubles he might have.

meet ESSEKER, he's a MALE, SIX and a half-year-old wolf. currently, this brute resides in the
TONGASS as the LEAD GUARD. he isn't really the kind of wolf you'd want to spend a lot of ti
me with, he doesn't necessarily care about anything other than his job. he takes his work VE
RY SERIOUSLY, in fact, he perceives just about everything seriously. he's probably not going t
o laugh at your jokes, nor even register them as jokes. there is no playing games, he's a KILL
JOY, a no-nonsense, no messing around brute.

esseker is probably the most CALLOUS brute you've ever met, but if he ever warms up to you
, you'll find that he's very LOYAL and TRUSTING. and he has a heart of gold. esseker wants th
e best for the pack, even if he has an odd or twisted way of showing that he does. he's very P
ROTECTIVE of the pack members, especially the females and even puppies. esseker didn't kno
w the former alpha very extensively, but he respected him for his position in the pack.

esseker is considered more massive than the average wolf, weighing in about 100 LBS and sta
nding at 34 INCHES at the shoulder, he is very muscular and toned. however, while he's strong
and can use that to his advantage, his rather SLOW. he doesn't have as much stamina as the le
aner wolves, not to mention his age can help wear him down. as for his PHYSICAL ANOMALIES;
one of his ears has a notch or two, his entire body is riddled with scars of every shape and size
, most of which are now covered in fur, but there are plenty of scars on his face that are VISIBL
E. he almost lost an eye once, thankfully he didn't, but he has an injury from that fight. his leg
s are pretty mangled with old cuts and scrapes, and part of his tail is missing.
