Nickname(s):: Lenny, Len (while on set)
Age:: 23
Gender:: Cismale
Sexuality:: In the closet homosexual
Likes:: M. Night Shyamalan films ~ His pet rats ~ Decorating the cupcakes at work
Dislikes:: His shame of his own sexuality ~ Fish (allergic anyways) ~ Social media
Personality:: Lenny is the kind of person who would walk to ends of the Earth and back for those he cares about or for his career as a director. He knows what he wants, and usually isn't afraid to stick his neck out to get it (unless we're talking romantically). When it comes to filming, Lenny the fun-loving guy becomes Len, the strict man in charge that strives for nothing but the best. He's infamous among current professors and previous teachers for preferring to turn in assignments late or even not at all than something he finds less than amazing. He tends to be a bit hard on himself when it comes to the movies he makes, which Charlie is constantly telling him will one day be the only thing that stands between him and becoming the next Hitchcock.
+Traits:: Caring ~ Creative visionary ~ Ambitious
-Traits:: Over-cautious ~ Insecure (from living a lie) ~ Lacks a filter
Fears:: His father's reaction to his sexuality
History:: Lenny and Charlie met their kindergarten year of school and have been inseparable ever since. Even as children, him and Charlie had loved watching movies together, which quickly grew into a love for making them. Growing up in a wealthy, Upper East Sider family, the young pair of friends were given a film camera to start making their own mini-movies when they were in 2nd grade by his parents, who loved sweet, poor, little Charlotte. They started a film club in middle school and applied to the
Frank Sinatra School of the Arts high school together in the 8th grade. Lenny's parents, under the belief that the pair would one day get married despite their consistent denial of being anything more than friends, paid for Charlie's tuition to the prestigious school, as well as Lenny's. His freshman year would prove to be one bumpy roller-coaster, however. It was at school that Lenny met his first boyfriend, Henri. They started off as friends, but the chemistry was undeniable. They dated in secret due to Lenny's father's public anti-gay stance, with Charlie (at the time questioning xyr gender, was currently leaning towards trans and going by "Charles") being the only outsider aware of the situation. While all hanging out one day, Henri asked, "So is Charles, like, your zucchini, or something?" and therefore introduced Charlie and Lenny to an accurate description of their relationship: queerplatonic. About a third of the way through his freshman year, Lenny's older brother, Francis (a senior at
Allen-Stevenson School for boys at the time), came out to his family as gay. His father promptly kicked Francis out of the house and cut him off financially; it was a month later when an officer showed up at their penthouse to break the news. Francis had jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge and died. When Lenny heard his father mutter, "Good riddance..." once the door was closed, he knew his father could never find out he was gay as well. he broke up with Henri the next morning and hasn't truly dated since, besides a few meaningless women here and there to keep up appearances. Towards the end of his freshman year, Lenny explained to his mother and father what a queerplatonic relationship was and told them that Charlie (at this point, more or less settled on agender) was his zucchini. Believing it was just a phase they were in before deciding to officially date, his parents accepted it, mainly because despite her "unsettling belief that she isn't a girl," she was still physically female. Lenny's parents also pay for most of their college tuition and most of their rent, further adding to his unwillingness to come out of the closet.
