history ➵ her father, an alien. her mother, a foolish, desperate human searching for love. before she was born, her father wanted a child. then she was born, and he was furious. how dare his own daughter resemble her mother more? so, he prepared to leave. in an act of pure desperation, her mother pleaded. begged him to stay, at least for a little while. a year at least. perhaps she would show some of her fathers characteristics. but she was different from both her parents, sharing only slight resemblance to her mother. and her father, selfish as he was, left. in the dead of the night, no traces of him even existing left in the house. furious and grief-stricken, Tiana's mother was pulled into the world of gambling and drinking. it wasn't long before she was taken away by social services, to discover she had no other living relatives, including her dad, other than her mother. her mother died a month later from a stroke. and from then on Tia fended for herself, braving the horrors of foster care till she reached the age of sixteen, when she ran and never looked backed.
