Everpaw is your average hard-working medicine cat, always striving to learn the ways of healing to be able to serve her clanmates and the will of StarClan. To any cat, she’s helpful and diligent, doing her duties with an airy obedience. What she lacks in confidence, she makes up for in humor and wisdom. She doesn’t talk much, but when she does it’s in anyone’s interest to pay attention to what she’s saying. Her maturity is more prominent than most cats her age, and she’s very used to conflict with a grim acceptance. Acutely attuned to her surroundings, she can often be found out in the woods taking a break from the stress of clan life, observing plants and clearing her head by a stream. She’s not a very sociable cat but she doesn’t mind being approached, and conversations stuck up with her are usually quite interesting.

When it comes to her brothers, Everpaw is closest to Zephyrgaze, who shares her love for nature and living things despite the fact that he doesn’t believe in StarClan. Even though she’s training to be a medicine cat, she doesn’t feel the need pressure him into believing in the warrior ancestors, especially because he gets along just fine; in fact, she often seeks his help when trying to interpret dreams and signs, as he’s very knowledgeable about what different things symbolize. Sableflame is who she relies on for comfort and to lighten up her day, as the burly tom is always joking around and teasing her, which she loves. Her older brothers are the only family she’s ever known, as their parents died shortly after she was kitted. She loves them to death and is very possessive and protective over them, and gets jealous when other cats take up their attention. Her name comes from the long nights of leaf-bare, the season she was born in.

Zephyrgaze is not your average warrior, which is most notably seen in the way he speaks and acts. He’s not a very expressive cat and tends to keep his emotions to himself—and he’s very good at hiding them. The only cats who can read him are those closest to him, mainly his two siblings. He’s not very affectionate and doesn’t like to be touched for anything longer than a few seconds but will happily talk to nearly any cat about nearly anything, though he doesn’t really speak unless spoken to. One prominent part about his life is that he’s never believed in StarClan; instead, he practices animism, where he believes that everything around him—from the rocks to the trees—has some sort of spiritual energy. In fact, he’s been known to say things like “the trees are whispering again” and mean it seriously, which can make him a little unnerving to be around at times. He doesn’t really have a filter when it comes to things like that, and is relatively unphased by cats’ reactions to his words. The tom claims to read signs in things from dreams to the way the sunlight hits the earth and will openly tell them to anyone who’s curious enough to listen. He’s never been bothered about his clanmates’ belief in StarClan and hopes that they’re never bothered in his lack thereof, especially because he never really forces other cats to abandon their beliefs for his own. He’s a pretty peaceful guy and just likes to coexist with his clan harmoniously. Beliefs aside, he has a cool, calm demeanor, and it’s very rare to see his fur ruffled by something someone has said or done. He enjoys taking walks and spending time with his siblings.

Speaking of, he’s surprisingly very close to both Sableflame and Everpaw and always takes time out of his day to talk with them and chat. He specializes in bad jokes and bird-watching, which can be frustrating when the three are trying to hunt the birds, not look at them. He’s always by Everpaw’s side when she’s having troubles with herbs and signs, and he rather enjoys listening to Sableflame babble about some cat he’s been infatuated with. All in all, he’s a loyal friend and a thoughtful, unique conversation partner.

Sableflame is what you might call a “universal” cat; he’s very adaptable to different personas and situations and firmly believes that he’s capable of befriending just about any cat. He can be quiet and comforting or humorous and talkative, though he prefers the latter combination. With Zephyrgaze as his brother, it’s hard to surprise him with words, which makes him a good listener when it comes to others’ concerns or ideas. He’s very open and honest and can sometimes get ahead of himself, letting his charisma spill over to openly flirt or admire cats that catch his eye. He tends to keep personal matters between he and his siblings, as he likes to reserve his friendships for having fun and getting to know the other cat. He loves to compliment his clanmates, even if it’s on the smallest thing like catching a good juicy mouse. He can be intimidating at first due to his deep voice and large build, but he’s really a big sweetheart who strives for success in everything he does, even if he has to do it again and again.

When he’s with his siblings he’s usually lightening up a mood or reassuring them with some positive words of optimism. Because both Zephyrgaze and Everpaw can get a little arcane at times, he brings it upon himself to shine some light on their dark moods and shower them with affection (he knows Zephyrgaze hates it but he does it anyway). Like Everpaw, he’s very protective over his siblings and will do anything to keep them safe. If either of them are being bothered or picked on, Sableflame is usually the one to put an end to it as soon as possible.

Sequoiapaw is a super friendly tom who enjoys helping others, even if they don’t come from his own clan. It’s hard for him to choose sides in argument because he usually sympathizes with both sides, though he tries to offer solutions that can make both happy. As an apprentice, he has a very positive outlook on life and is always trying to do his best in his training to become a great warrior. His dream is to become the deputy one day, but he doesn’t feel the need to be motivated by that idea alone. For him, providing his service to the clan is simply enough. He hates being alone and will usually approach anyone else he sees that looks like they could use a friend. Though he’s somewhat shy in the beginning, he’s quick to warm up to other cats— meaning it won’t be long before he’s trying to get some cat to do something with him. He’s faithful to the warrior code but the way he interprets it may vary from the way his clanmates do.

His willingness to help cats has no border, so if another soul is in need he’ll probably do anything he can to help them—including sharing prey or herbs. This trait can be irritating or even dangerous at times, but no matter how many times you tell him not to do something, he’ll try to do it anyway. His backstory is the reason for this, because when he was younger he had a friend who was a loner who liked to hang out around the forest. One day, the loner got sick, so Sequoiapaw brought him to the clan for treatment; however, the loner was denied treatment and ended up dying. Drowned in sorrow, Seqouiapaw promised himself that he’d help any cat no matter what.

Her name isn’t spelled like “sorrows”, but it certainly sounds like it is...and for good reason, too. This cat is dangerous, but she doesn’t want you to know that until she’s already figured out how to kill you. She doesn’t care about anyone but herself, but she’s very good at hiding her true intentions. She’s not an enemy that’s always trying to yowl to every cat around that she’s big and bad and scary; instead, she prefers to wait patiently for her victims, softening them up under the false pretenses of her intentions. It’s hard to outwit her, as she’s always thinking about any possible outcomes to her plans, and she doesn’t think for a moment that her confidence is enough to carry out an idea. She doesn’t trust anyone but herself and would rather act alone in her treachery, but she know she her limits and will take on help when necessary.

Saros never speaks about her past to anyone, and its always a good idea not to pry her about it. She’s easily agitated and isn’t a cat that you want to be on the bad side of. Of course, it’s possible to earn her respect, but she’ll never have anyone’s back but those she’s working with to gain something. She kills for the fun of it and doesn’t really care what anyone else thinks. In the end, she knows her truest ally is her mind, anyone besides that is irrelevant to her.
