Nicole is serious about the flight ticket. She assigned Jess to a "team", aka heading to the same location on the same plane as a few other teenagers (although she doesn't expect for him to work with the team, only to run away). He doesn't have to stick around. Heck, Nicole doesn't care if he runs away before even boarding the plane.
She hasn't bothered to read his future at this point.

Does your character have any personality traits that come directly from you/Is the character basically you in a different body?
Both my boys are pretty much me, just im more Jess than Alex and minus how rude or edgy I am.
