Rules for Creating a Character
- No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus. All character have flaws.
- No unrealistic coat colours, coat patterns, or eye colours. Please note that blue eyes are NOT naturally occurring in wolves! They only come through crossbreeding with dogs. For this reason, no wolves in this roleplay may have blue eyes.
- Crushes are encouraged, even if they're "forbidden", according to the pack's rules.
- All "chosen" wolves must be attracted to the opposite gender for ease of pairing mates up. This does not mean they have to be straight.
- You don't have to make the form fancy (I sure don't make mine fancy!), but you need to include the basic info. (Name, age, gender, rank, personality, kin (if a subordinate), crush)
- 1 chosen wolf, 1 high rank, and 2 subordinates per player.
- The more detailed the character, the better!
Is Your Character a Subordinate? (Hunter, soldier, yearling)
If so, your character must be descended from someone in the pack who passed away due to the infamous disease. You can either make up a character that they descended from or make your character descend from one of the pairs below! (This is an easy way to create a family of siblings with other roleplayers)
1. Alpha Ophyr and Alpha Phoebe - Preceded Alpha Machi. Both passed away in the disease.
2. Beta Pascal and Beta Rhea - Beta Pascal was killed by a bear a year before the disease outbreak, Beta Rhea died from the disease.
3. Hunter Gino and Daffodil - The lead hunter and his mate both died in the disease outbreak.
4. Link and Colonel Maria - The colonel died in the disease outbreak, her mate bled to death after a vicious fight with a rogue pack of wolves. He did not live to meet his pups.
So You Want Your Wolf to Have a High Rank?
Not a problem! The high ranks will be obtainable by all adult subordinates (aka hunters and soldiers). But you're going to have to compete for it, first! I'm selecting these characters a little into the roleplay to see what roleplayers are fit for the job and, more importantly, what characters would fill these roles well. Please read below if you're interested in a specific rank!
Want to be Alpha Female?
Alpha Machi is looking for a mate! If you'd like your character to become his mate, therefore becoming alpha female, simply make your character pursue a romantic interest in him. Here's a hint to winning his heart: Machi is very attracted to outspoken wolves that aren't afraid to take leadership when things are shaky.
Want to be a Beta?
Being Beta is about being both a leader and a good friend to Machi. If you want this role, you have to ensure two things: ONE- your wolf is capable of leading and is respected by the other members of the pack. TWO- Your wolf is close to Machi. This is of greater importance to Alpha Machi than the first. Here's a hint: Machi likes to become friends with wolves that are wise and good at offering advice.
Want to be the Lead Hunter/Huntress?
Then it's time you start hauling home the prey! Machi isn't looking for someone who is a "leader", despite what the title suggests. Rather, Alpha Machi is looking for someone that will be able to lead simply by setting an example. If you show that your wolf is not only talented at hunting, but committed and passionate, you will likely be offered the role. Please keep in mind that powerplaying by making your wolf hunt thousands of elk a day (just as an example) is not going to get you lead hunter. I'm looking for a roleplayer that can portray a skilled character in a humble and realistic way.
Want to be the Colonel?
Read above, but then translate that into battling terms. What Machi is looking for is a skilled fighter who brings a deeper understanding of battling and time management than the average soldier. If you can portray a talented character in a sophisticated and down-to-earth manner, this role will be all yours.
