‘Long ago, four clans ruled the peaceful lake territory, Thunderclan, Riverclan, Windclan, and Shadowclan. They all lived together with respect and with harmony. Seasons easily came and left and Warriors lived their lives until ascending to Starclan’s homeworld. These natural causes stayed for centuries... Until— Windclan began to unfortunately break apart.
It was an unexpected event and the remaining trio panicked. And with their worry came horrible and disgusting experiences. Clouds covered the sky for five moons, not a single scrap of prey was found... and kits failed to appear in the world.
Many felines assumed it was caused by a variety of plague. However, others thought a powerful and ominous rogue forced Windclan to divide. It was a mystery kept secret... Soon after a famine of five dreadful moons, Shadowclan and Thunderclan abandoned their hopes. Leaders sent their farewells as they crossed the faint borders, departing with a distressed state. Their Medicine Cats attempted to resolve the problem but it was no use.
So, the last clan standing was Riverclan. A clan with an extraordinary talent for swimming and fishing. The fish consumers sat in their marshy territories for another two moons. And as they lingered, the rivers mixed with a dark hue, staining their precious water a dark, forest green— reeds slumped over with leaves covered in a brown substance— and bones of fishes floated in the green water. With adrenaline in their hearts, RiverClan quickly disjoined.
That was the end of the four clans. Yet suddenly, after a few decades, descended members of each clan returned, exchanging words and licks. All kinds of breeds and sizes illustrated the landscape. Many with dilated pupils— many with sharp claws and fangs... perfect for climbing— many with flattened and glossy pelts— and many with quiet, stone hard pads.
All realized how well their special characteristics blended in with the shifted and weathered environment. Immense pupils belonged in the tall and mighty hills. Pointed claws and fangs belonged in the bark of trees. Neat and organized fur belonged in the grassy undergrowth. And pads as hard as metal belonged in the dark, looming tunnels and caves.
So the cats resumed busy conversations as the days continued to pass. Deciding how to protect their souls as they traveled to their new lands. But their intelligent and past ancestors’ scents wafted and guided them with safety. Then, with all their troubles and events the strong four were born... Oakclan, Dawnclan, Fernclan, and Stoneclan...’
