romance and crap. yay! so, this will be better explained in the plot,
but basically there are two main cats: one of them is played by yours

truely (moonlitsky), and another male cat. in this clan, there are assi
nged mates. there's also true mates, and cats who fight to be togeth
er and cats who love each other that much will be tested in a life-or
-death situation, and the star-reader and herbalist communicate wit
h their ancestors. of course, no one actually dies. if they pass, they
get to spend their life together happily, and are blessed. basically a
test about true love. if they fail, they are forced to get assigned mat
es eventually. and assigned mates aren't as bad as they seem. it's ba

sically a forever pairing unless one cat finds true love, and kits aren't necessary unless both cats give consent. back to the plot. a
nyway, the trial to test if you are true mates was a course through mountains, and that area has been flooded and destroyed bey
ond repair. at least, for cats. because of this, true mates are rarely found, and only one pair has been confirmed in about 75 yea
rs. astralclan's mission? rebuild or at least create a new, dangerous, but still within survival trial to prove a pair's love for each ot
her. another thing that was special about the mountain (astral peak), was that it gave hallucinations to the cats that entered. wh
y?well, because in that area, when who cats have a strong bond together, they form a shield against all of the negative effects th
e mountain gave them, but when away, it created fear. hallucinations. anxiety. hunger. a lot of bad effects. there were also a lot
of predators near, but of course, their ancestors were watching so they would never get deeply injured. if the cat's love was stron
g enough, then they would be protected from everything, and they must fight through it. there's also the fact their ancestors hav
e been on the quiet side. this is a mystery they must solve, before being able to allow true mates. currently, if the star-reader de
ems two cat's worthy of the option, they are considered true mates, but that opportunity is rarely given now. forbidden romances
