In the past, it was no secret that there were those who possessed certain abilities. These individuals could do things that ordinary people couldn't even dream of; be it change their appearance to match someone of their choosing, gaze into the minds of their peers, or create flames with nothing but their own hands. At one point in time, nearly half of the city's population had these powers. Over time, they became increasingly uncommon. At this point, these individuals have faded into obscurity. There are still few with these abilities, but they are often viewed as outsiders by the public.

You live in the futuristic city of Easthaven. Maybe you've lived here your whole life, maybe you just moved here. Whatever the situation may be, you're a part of this society. You live in a large apartment complex, identical to several other buildings in this uniform city. You don't know it yet, but something is coming. Something that will put the whole city at risk. What you do know is that you have powers. It's up to you whether or not you keep these abilities secret or not.

So for the first part of this roleplay, it'll go on fairly normally. It will be up to you to meet and develop relationships with other characters, and carry on the story. This will change a bit further in, when I'll jump in as a narrator and describe some important plot points. It'll still be up to you to carry on the plot through your actions.

Name: Arna Silas
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: Light brown hair that touches the middle of her back, hazel-green eyes and a freckled face. 5' 7 inches in height and an athletic build combined with faintly calloused hands from climbing.
Power: Phasing (The ability to travel through solid objects e.g. walls, floors)
Personality: Arna is always confident. She aims to encourage others and be kind to everyone, even if she doesn't know them. She loves to have fun and be with friends. She's always loyal to her friends and is extremely trusting. She always looks on the bright side.
History: Arna grew up in a big, loving family and they recently moved to Easthaven after tragedy struck. Two of her older siblings died in a car crash a few years ago, leaving just Arna and her older brother, Ethan, with their parents. Ethan then moved out a few months later and Arna hasn't seen him since.
Arna discovered her ability on the night of the car crash. She discovered it because she was in the car with her siblings. She'd seen the other car coming and had shut her eyes, not wanting to be in the car. She heard a loud crunch and opened her eyes to see that she was sitting in the middle of the road and no longer in the car. She'd ran home and not told anyone. The only ones who'd known she was in the car were her two siblings who died.
Other: Arna suffers from a light case of Survivors Syndrome. Every night since the incident she's lain awake for a few hours wondering if she could've tried to save her siblings as well.

Description: Ash has long black hair, hazel eyes, and freckles on her face. She is short and a healthy weight. She usually likes to where very casual clothes like jeans and t-shirts.
Power: Essokinesis

Bio: For the most part, Ash has lived a pretty normal life. She has a few good friends and a loving family. She discovered her power when she was 12. She had received a stuffed dog from her grandmother, who had been on a trip recently. The toy was an ugly shade of green. Ash pretended to be grateful. She was silently disappointed because aside from the color, it was such a cute toy. The next day, Ash Stared at it, almost willing it to change color when suddenly, it did. To this day, no one seemed to notice the change. Similar events happens on occasion and it always freaked Ash out. Eventually, she stopped ever wanting things to change or happen. She hasn’t used the power in years now and doesn’t ever plan to.
Ash was always very creative. Ever since she read her first novel, she has always dreamed of writing her own books. Her dream is to be able to live off of writing stories. Soon after finishing high school, instead of going to college, she moved to Easthaven where she got a part time job at a fast food place. When at home she spends much of her free time writing, creating a web page for her career as an author, and researching. She has yet to publish anything but is close to finishing her first book.
Other: So because she fears her powers, she rarely uses them which means at the start she will of course be very weak and I’ll make sure she never becomes over powered at all. Hope that works alright? (Essokinesis is the ability to alter reality/create illusions.)
