greetings everyone! for those of you that haven't met me, i'm emma, but you can refer to me by my name, or simply sign will do. i don't mind!
i'm so happy to be here (though this was a very self-indulgent decision; i'm drowning in homework, yet this roleplay is too much of a gem to resist!) and look forward to familiarizing myself with everyone and your respective characters.

i myself am looking for relations for my pair on page two: twoface and hornetsting. i'm honestly great with friends, enemies, love life, etc! just hit me up with anything you have in mind below or message me. :) however, there are some specifics, and they are:


• twoface: male, 25 m, pansexual, warrior of brookclan.
xxxx - the medicine cat of brookclan must be close to him. whoever they are, they're to be a huge father/mother figure to twoface. assuming this will be basiltoe!
xxxx - an older female (around forty+ moons) that takes up residence in the nursery or is a warrior! she will be/is crucial to twoface.
xxxx - some friends would be nice! and cats that pick on him as well. more of the latter, for the sake of drama.

• hornetsting: female, 101 m, homosexual, elder of oakclan.
xxxx - for her, i'm mostly seeking a mate! she's a cute old lady lesbian that could use some company in the elders' den. honeyfang is crushing on hornetsting, so problem solved!

with a large frame built for exceptional hunting and fixx
ghting, mottlewhisker is at-first; intimidating. but, th
ere's got to be a reason for 'the gentle giant' label: she
is quite unique, as many of her qualities defy the defin
ition of her individual traits. though sensitive, she has
excellent analytical abilities; though reserved, she pos
sesses well-developed robust social relationships; and
although she's generally a conservative type, mottlewh
isker is often receptive to change and new ideas.

this she-cat is a true altruist, meeting kindness with kxx'
indness-in-excess and engaging the work and cats she
believes in with enthusiasm and generosity. unlike a d
iplomat, mottlewhisker's moral compass is based upon
established traditions and laws and upholding authorit
y and rules, rather than drawing her morality from my
sticism. often she is very meticulous about this topic-
to the point of perfectionism. mottlewhisker takes res
ponsibilities and morals personally, consistently going
above and beyond, doing everything she can to exceed
expect ations and delight others for their benefit. natu
rally social, an odd quality for introverts, she utilizes e
xcellent memories not to retain data and trivia, but to
remember cats and the details about their lives. howev
er, it is fair to say that mottlewhisker is also extremely
knowledge able in her field and is always willing to sha
re her intelligence with her peers.

you could describe rookpaw as a true artist, but not ne
cessarily in the typical sense where he's out painting h
appy landscapes. rather, it’s that he uses his surroundin
gs and even his choices or actions to push the limits of
social convention. rookpaw enjoys upsetting traditional
expectations with experiments in beauty and behaviour
as he lives in a colourful world, inspired by connections
with people and ideas. often the young apprentice is fi
nding ways to push his passions with risky behaviour, cre
ating a sense of spontaneity and therefore he's labelled
as unpredictable.

rookpaw always assumes that compliments are used to s
often a heart in the worst way possible. he believes th
ey are used to prepare him for offence- to call his risks
irresponsible or reckless. often, if a criticism gets thro
ugh, it ends quite poorly. if the comments are more bit
ing and less mature, rookpaw can lose his temper in sp
ectacular fashion: "how dare you?!" "you're being irrati
onal." when faced with criticism, it can be a challenge
for him to step away from the moment long enough to
not get caught up in the heat of the moment. but some
times living in the moment goes both ways, and once th
e heightened emotions of an argument cool, rookpaw ca
n usually call the past the past and move on as though it
never occurred.

Though he is a senior Warrior, mostly respected in Brookclan, Rushcloud has never quite gotten over the shyness that has plagued him for his entire life. He is a kind, gentle, soft-spoken tom who tends to assume the best in others and offer his best in return. Rushcloud is not likely to involve himself in drama, but he is more than happy to provide a listening ear to anyone that needs a little support from the sidelines. This tom simply does not handle conflict well and has a hard time standing up for himself in an argument. He prefers to take the path of least resistance and keep his opinions to himself if they might be considered inflammatory. Though once susceptible to bullying, Rushcloud has since proved himself as more than a worthy clanmate and he no longer has to worry about that. When faced with an uncomfortable situation now, Rushcloud just keeps his mouth shut and focuses on his duties, letting other solve their personal problems by themselves. Unless, of course, there is something he can do to help in the background and away from direct confrontation.

Rushcloud might be a respected Warrior now, but that was not always the case. When he was born, he was named "Rushkit", which was a reference to a plant the same color as his handsome, golden-brown fur. Instead of focusing on that, the other kits in the nursery noticed how skinny he was and teased him for it. Rushkit was naturally quiet and thoughtful, but that turned to shyness and he grew self-conscious about his build.
The teasing continued into his Apprenticeship until the last straw came in the form of an Oakclan Warrior name Honeyfang. Unsurprisingly of a cat bearing the "-fang" suffix, she was quick to box poor Rushpaw's ears soundly and send him fleeing back from the border, lest he forget his place as an outsider to Honeyfang's clan. While he has never been able to forgive Honeyfang for that fateful day when he lost all his confidence, the event did have a huge impact on Rushpaw, and not all for the worse, either. He shut himself off from others and grew silent. Of course, he was still the same shy, sensitive little tom, but he would sooner spend eternity in the Dark Forest than let anyone see how they hurt him. While it was unfortunate that he gave up on others for a time, this newfound determination to prove his worth to himself spurred Rushpaw on in his training, and he soon earned the Warrior name, "Rushcloud", after the calm, stoic, unshakable demeanor that he adapted.
As many moons wore on, Rushcloud was able to prove himself time and again when Brookclan needed him, and as he gained more respect among his clanmates, his icy shell fell away to reveal his true personality. He is actually quite kind and gentle, and cares far more for others than he ever let on in his younger days. Rushcloud even found a way to care for a handful of cats from other clans. In particular is Brokenstar of Thornclan, whom he both admires and pities because the young Leader has not been dealt kind circumstances. Rushcloud is skeptical that Thornclan is responsible for the recent Leader deaths.
In Oakclan, there is Morningstep. Rushcloud knows she is much too young for him and in another clan to boot, but he finds her terribly pretty and feels it is harmless to quietly admire her from afar, as long as nothing more comes of it. That said, he would have a hard time fighting against her if things came to that.
Among his fellow Brookclan cats, a pair of mollies have managed to worm their way into Rushcloud's heart. The first is Oddeyes, upon whom Rushcloud took pity when he noticed she was born looking a little different, just like he was. He felt a certain kinship with her and took her under his wing from the beginning. Just two moons later, another misfit kit was born as well, but it worth noting that while Oddeyes was just a little different, the kit that became Twoface looked like some kind of nightmare creature. It was all a bit much for Rushcloud to handle, hypocritical as it may be, to he chose to focus on Oddeyes and did his best to ignore Twoface. That plan has been rather difficult to follow as of late, since he now shares a den with the freak, but Rushcloud just tries not to think about it.
On a more cheery note, there is one final she-cat that Rushcloud has special feelings for. Ah, Poppysong, Rushcloud's beloved best friend. He has known her for her whole life and always thought well of her. It has been heartbreaking to watch Poppysong grieve her lost mate and Rushcloud worries about her ability to see past her sadness and rise to the responsibility of raising kits so quickly. Right now, he just wants to support her however he can, so he makes a point to check on her regularly and see to her needs. When the kits are born, Rushcloud plans to offer himself to help care for them and take some of the load off of Poppysong's shoulders.
