^ the whole predators = front head eyes and prey = side eyes is usually true, but there are certain exceptions based off of things like the places they evolved in. Land animals are the biggest example of that idea, since the prey need the side-head eyes to primarily just see the land on both sides of them (for predators) while in the sea there's a lot more than just the land immediately surrounding something. This makes it harder for both, since there is a bigger area to cover, which is why I think both prey fish and sea predators (like sharks, Dolphins, orcas, esc.)
This is just theory so feel free to explain a more scientific reason, I just feel like this is a reasonable thought c:
Adding onto this, though, animals like seals and sea lion also have the front-head eyes, so maybe they're just less evolved to be sea animals than dolphins and whales are? Either way, I think it's good to look at specific examples and hetalia yourself thinking.
Ominivores usually take on the forward-sight trait or sideways-sight trait depending on this too, but I think that the land ones such as humans, bears, and monkeys have forward because of the ability to hunt down other animals and actually eat them. Again, idk we for sure, and it's definitely an interesting question.
