sloepaw is a very strongwilled apprentice who idealizes the warrior life.
he wants to achieve glory and have his name spoken with awe around
the camp. though his motivations might be a bit vain and drive him to
be selfish at times, it's not like he's the rotten apple among the bunch.
sloepaw still manages to be far from some of his more serious superiors,
he has a sense of humor and the adventure-hungry mind of an apprentice.
he was born to the clan, to two warriors. his mother still lives, but he's
told his father died heroically. he looks up to many, including his father,
despite not knowing that in life he was rather unkind and antagonistic.

to everyone around him, it would appear as though the tom
doesn't care about, well, anything. he rarely focuses during
training, often venturing off to do who-knows what. he tends
to get into trouble far more often than anyone would like,
being quite a bit of an attention seeker, and he will flirt
with pretty much anyone he comes across, regardless of
age, gender, or allegiance.

unfortunately, he didn't have a happy kithood like many others
in the clan. his mother became pregnant to a rogue that she
claimed was her mate, but he was not a creature willing to
join any clan or group. his mother was not banished, but she
was strongly disliked after this treachery. several days before
his apprentice ceremony, his mother ventured out to try and
find his father, to convince him to come, at least to watch the
ceremony. they got into a fight, and she was found dead.
this was just one moons ago.

overview
born into hollyclan, nettle tongue has
long served as a warrior and mentor to
younger cats. his dedication and loyalty
has always been a source of pride for
him, but he never found time away from
his work to take a mate or begin a family
of his own. this changed however, when
on a routine hunting trip, he returned
with a small, half-starved kit who he
named thistlekit, his daughter.

personality
nettle tongue is a reserved tom who
thinks before acting and always values
deep conversation. known for always
favoring caution, his levelheadedness
has often been used to calm disputes.
while he does have the patience of a
saint and has never been one to raise
his voice, he does find himself irritated
by lack of respect for the title of clan
warrior and an unwillingness to learn,
both traits that he sees in his daughter.
