Oh my god, that stuff makes me so livid. I don't get how people could just knowingly leave their horses to die, trapped and unable to escape when they should have had plenty of time to set them free.
Reminds me during hurricane Harvey in Houston, once the flood waters receded enough, some people found some dead horses tied up to trees or metal posts or something. The owners had evacuated. Finding that out infuriated me to no end. How can someone put halters and lead ropes on their horses, tie them up in inescapable positions and leave them to drown while they saved their own butts? Those poor horses died a horrible, violent death, probably panicking and trying so hard to escape as the water levels rose but unable to break free. Their deaths could have 100% been prevented, even if they didn't have a trailer to evacuate with them, least the owners could have done was take off their halters, leave the gates open and give them the ability to escape. Breaks my heart thinking about it.
Ooh, gosh that's so scary! Very lucky indeed. That's probably the main reason though why I never, ever lock my horses up in stalls when the whether is bad. I always leave them out in pasture and they have the ability to go into their stalls and leave their stalls as they wish. I'd never forgive myself if something bad happened and my darlings got really injured or killed because I decided to lock them up.

I understand why you may not like it, but I don't think anything like that would ever stop me from loving the snow. cx I always get envious seeing other people building snowmen and having snowball fights and going skiing and just having so much fun in the snow while I haven't had it in years, and never enough to do any of those activities. Seeing snow now just makes me so happy! I can even make a snowball! ^^ Imma try building a mini snowman. I'll post results if I succeed.

Ha, don't you love all the silly things horses do. cx Pepper was being pretty silly today. She just wanted to play, play, play and she kept nipping Hera (the baby 2 year old) on the rump to get her to run around with her. Didn't work, Hera ran a little but wouldn't do a whole lot, so Pepper just kind of ran around in pasture by herself, kicking at Hera as she'd past. I think I got a little video of Pepper and Hera playing a bit on my phone. She even tried to get my old grumpy girl, Blessing, to play by lightly nipping at her, which did not go over super well ha. Blessing got angry and chased her off.
