6. The Chocolate Silver Dapple Pinto


Lush locks and an extraordinarily bold coat make this horse a regular show-stopper, but perhaps most unique are the star-shaped dapples on his front end.

i'm pretty sure he'd just be a pinto. his coloring would be a chocolate silver dapple. it's not a rare breed, just a rare coat combo.

Chocolate and Silver Dapple are colors, pinto is a type of color pattern. Neither are breeds.

Is this the website you got it off? If you did, I wouldn't trust it at all. Firstly, a chocolate silver dapple is a coat colour and pinto is a marking (there are many different variations of pinto, but generally you just say pinto). Neither is a breed. Also, the site is incredibly unreliable, especially since most of the breeds are not rare at all. The second horse there doesn't even exist. An appaloosa is not a breed, it is a colouration. On top of that, the first picture shown for that breed is of either a shetland, falabella or another small pony breed, not an appaloosa patterned friesian. The second image, which the site claims is this horse as a foal, is clearly incorrect. To me, it looks like a standard knabstrupper foal and the coat and body shape are completely and utterly different to the top image. For future reference, it's not a good idea to trust sites or videos with information like this.

@ashdawn as others have stated, the 'chocolate silver dapple pinto' isn't a breed, rather a colouring.

@scar yeah, she's gonna be a bit sad after that encounter with khaki.

@silent an appaloosa actually is a breed of horse, but i is definitely agree with you that that was a pony.

Huh, I was under the impression that the 'traditional' appaloosas were mustangs/wild horses that carried the leopard gene, eventually resulting in large amounts of appaloosa horses. Well, I guess you learn something every day XD.
Yeah, definitely a pony. I looked at it and I was like "that's not even a horse, what the heck?"

Yeah, Appaloosa is a breed.

As for the foal, it's not the horses foal picture, but it's also not a Knabstrupper. It's a foal picture of Mystic Warrior, a Friesian x Appaloosa cross who has the greying gene.

As I now know XD. I can't believe I went for fifteen years as a complete horse lover and never actually realised appaloosa was an official breed! When @Aesthetic said that I was like "wait, wat? *rapid google searching*".

Also, *gasps, has a heart attack*, THAT HORSE IS BEAUTIFUL!!! He reminds me of that horse in the three musketeers.
