I’m sorry. This is my first time seeing “making the foal of another player”, so I assumed only the mare’s player could play the foal. I really didn’t intend to be rude and offend Ember in any way.

Ember never actually said that they wanted to 'design a foal' as you keep implying they did. They said that they wanted to make a foal, which is the same as saying make a character which pretty much always means that they are going to play said character.
