stefania matthildur, but she prefers anya, is one of the few more vicious mermaids of the tribe. with a
temper as hot as lava, she is typically avoided. stefania was named after her queen like behavior, with
her chin constantly up, shoulders always straightened, and her movements always light, it shouldn't be
a surprise that she was named stefania. even if her name sounds beautiful, anya despises it, feeling like
it is mocking her, so she started calling herself anya. unlike some of the other mermaids, anya adores all
of her features, from her short platinum blond waves to her full lips, she is extremely proud of her looks.
stefania loves to stick out like a sore thumb, in order to do this she often cuts her hair just a little below
the neck every once and awhile with a sharp rock or seashell, this shortcut also helps to make her facial
features more noticeable. behind those strains of platinum hair are a pair of hazel blue upturned eyes, a
small turned-up nose, and a small scar as long as two centimeters across her right eyebrow, all on an oval
shaped face. anya may love everything about herself, but by far her tail wins, snatching her heart with its
snow white matte scales. it may be plain but anya has a lot of pride for it. anyone who dares to insult her
tail can go against her sharp coffin shaped nails.
stefania cares fiercely for her tribe, even if she is a bit stuck up and snappy, which is why when a few of
the mermaids of the tribe started being hunted by the humans, anya was hurt deeply. the tribe is all she
has ever had, they're her sisters, even if she often has an attitude towards them; but all sisters fight, do
they not? it doesn't mean that anya hates them, in fact, she loves all of them a lot. anyone who dares to
mess with them messes with her, and stefania isn't someone you want to have as a foe. anya isn't known
for her kindness and that's by those who are in her tribe, imagine how she'd treat a stranger, mostly one
who has the audacity to harm her sisters. there is a lot to take in when you first encounter this mermaid
but don't be fooled by her sour attitude, stefania is a lot more than she seems. you might even say she's
got a big heart, yet you have to cut passed her cold attitude for her to warm up to you. stefania is not a
person who is afraid of getting hurt, mostly when she gets hurt trying to protect a fellow mermaid, so do
not think you can scare her away with threats if anything you will only hurt her pride and cause her to be
even more furious because anya is extremely prideful. she likes it when others are afraid of her, it makes
her feel powerful and untouchable, hiding away her unease towards the world around her. anya values a
little bit of predictability, she enjoys her order and certainty but with the discovery of the humans, all of
this seems to have been tossed out the window. but one thing is certain to this mermaid; the humans are
the enemy and any mermaid seen fraternizing with the enemy is a traitor. stefania hates traitors above
everything else.
