sofia is a young tribeswoman who grew up faster than she should have.
She is very prideful and headstrong, but also considerate and kind.
Her mother taught hr to fight after he father never came back from the
sea, and she earned a living training horses and and hunting dogs, and
became a huntress along with her friend Kaede because she considered
the pressure she must've been under and wanted to support her tribe
against famine. Even if she couldn't be a warrior, she is willing to die like
one for her tribe.

sofia has a bit of a snarky attitude, though humorous and optimistic, and
never really believed in the whole mermaid business until she saw one for
herself. As much as she wants to spear one she is not only brutal but
intelligent and curious. She wants to know the reason they arrived, whether
it's a good omen or not.

Astarte was a castaway into the sea, betrayed in her
only live and born from the cold northern waters in
this one. She swam with the whale sharks and brought
down several human ships to cross the ice waters.
Eventually she swam to warmers parts of the sea, where
she met her sisters. Astarte was not surprised that they
were already hurt by humans, and she thinks that their
little kingdom had grown soft. She new humans all too
well and constantly advises the current queen about
their mannerisms but as more and more of her sisters
become involved or injured, the more she feels as though
she must take her own action. Astarte is a good friend to
have, despite being so detached, and would do anything
for her own friends if they let her.

She can't say she hates humans, she's only ever made the
sinful ones suffer. She looks at every one as it's own element,
another living being where there's hope to negotiate. There
was more than killing them off and driving them mad, and
perhaps the answer was talking, and only as a last resort would
they fight. She's not easygoing in the slightest, but she has a
strong desire for justice and a fair world where their kind may
get along with the humans.

Elias is a swordsmith and a romantic, inspired by honor and
nobility, and he's not so much the icy roughness of his brothers.
Elias is more of an introvert, but is no less openly compassionate
towards everyone, and often mistaken for naive. Elias is brave
warrior, and teaches whomever is willing to fight, and teaches
them not only how to carry a weapon, but how to carry themselves.
Elias is often looked up to, and is a mediator between those with
trifles.

Even though she helps others through problems he is highly
independent when it comes to his own. He gladly gives help but
never asks to receive any, so he often puts a lot of burden on his
shoulders without thinking of himself. His big heart may end up
placing himself in jeopardy, but he has trust in his feelings and
does what he thinks is right anyway.

the only problem is that my aunt left one of my cousins with me and my sister, and we've been stuck babysitting her. meaning I have had no time to roleplay, kind of upset about that but nothing I could do. anyways~ she goes home in a day or two, and I swear I'll post....is anyone still active on this?

amphitrite celestino, yet everyone only ever calls her celeste, has an extremely violent temper. one that
is worst than an ocean storm, she is always quick to explode, due to this, the fellow mermaids of her tribe
tend to avoid her. amphitrite was named after a goddess in the mortal's world, the goddess of the sea. she
despises her name, which is why she usually introduces herself as just celeste. she believes herself to be
unworthy of a name that belongs to a goddess due to her horrendous personality, to sum it up amphitrite
has an extremely low opinion of herself. she hates everything about herself, from her long hair she gained
from her mother, that runs down to her tailbone in strains as black as squid's ink, to her onyx and rose pink
scaled tail. she doesn't believe she is ugly though, it's more like her personality turned everything sour. she
looks almost exactly like her mother, having her charcoal grey eyes, raspberry red thick lips, slender build,
and small upturned nose. they only thing that makes her look different from her mother is her square jaw
she inherited from her father, on the left side where it meets her ear there is a small beauty mark. she also
received her tall height from his being 5'7", head to tail. with her looks, she gives off a very mysterious and
ominous vibe, but one that attracts the eyes of strangers.

amphitrite has always had a foul temper, one that her mother tried to work with, teaching the young girl
many tricks to try and hold her rage back, from meditating to combing her hair, nothing seemed to work.
when a fit took over amphitrite would lash out, screaming, snarling, scratching, and biting; she was just
like a monster. whenever one of these episodes happened it felt like the young mermaid wasn't in control
of her own body, everything that she did she did unwillingly. due to her unpredictable temper, celeste is
very closed off, her emotions a mess. all she knows is that she hates when others get too close to her, so
she is often alone. when she isn't in one of her moods, amphitrite is very quiet and closed off, giving off
an air of unwelcome, she does not want to be bothered. past the cold shell is just a scared little girl, one
that is terrified of what she does to those who get close to her. she feels like she is a demon. because of
her temper, the mermaids of her pod do not trust her and tend to avoid her, fearing her fury. she is often
treated as an outcast and although it hurts her greatly, she also knows it's best for everyone. amphitrite is
not always moping around when she is by herself, which is often, she spends her time doing many things.
her main source of enjoyment comes from the many aquatic animals she spends time with mainly whales,
stingrays, sharks, and jellyfishes. she finds these four species to be extremely beautiful, appreciating each
of them for their many qualities. she loves the sound of whales as they communicate with one another, the
beauty of stingrays as they glide through the waters, the strength of sharks and their silent nature, and of
course she absolutely adores the beauty of jellyfishes. spending time with these creatures seems to put her
mind at peace, making her feel in control of herself for once.
