Modern life is tough. Too many people obsessed with too many celebrities, or trying to get the newest technology or the best eyebrows. Young people are more stressed than in any generation that came before, and there's a huge pressure to be successful and get rich.

So what if you could get away from all of that?

Good news - you can.

Mr. Hanson, one of the most successful business owners in the city, finally had enough of his stressful life, leaving the bustle of the city and buying a large ranch in the middle of nowhere. Years of stress, smoking and heavy drinking took its toll or Mr. Hanson, however, and the man passed shortly after, leaving the ranch in the name of his daughter, Ava.

Knowing the stresses of life on the people her age, Ava opened the doors of the ranch to anyone who needed to get away, having cabins built in the grounds of the ranch and expanding the stables to accommodate three times the amount of horses.

Now, Hanson ranch has doors open to any young person who needs to escape their old lives.

On the surface, Ava seems to be unapproachable - her resting face being one of discontent, or a scowl at nothing in particular, as well as her quiet nature, may make her seem unfriendly. However, once you get to know her, she turns out to be a pleasant, polite young woman who has a heart of gold. If you are ever looking for someone to talk to, Ava would be a fantastic person to seek out. She may not have an answer for you, but she will definitely offer you an open ear, and probably a cup of tea. She will do try to keep herself in everyone's good books. She can be overly helpful, and may get under your feet in an attempt to help with whatever she can. Her patience with others seems to be endless, and she would love to become a trainer of horses in the future. Born in a mountainous region of the East of Ireland, Ava grew up as an only child, surrounded by her family pets and the semi-wild ponies that people released onto the mountains when they could no longer afford them. The young girl adored the mountains, but when a job opportunity opened up in the center of New York, the whole family moved out here. Hating the constant hustle and bustle of the city life, Ava grew quiet and reserved, making very few friends in her teenage years. Firm believers of keeping childhood pure, her parents did not get her a cellphone or any other modern appliances until she was fifteen, meaning that the young girl was a victim of teasing and exclusion in the years before that.
Her father, the CEO of a 'big business', grew to hate the city life, and, one year ago, bought and named Hanson Ranch, devoting his life to getting it up and running. Ava is still recovering from her father's untimely passing, but the girl has risen to the challenge of running the ranch, turning it into a paradise for young people who want to escape the business of modern life.

More of a theater kid than a cowboy, Eli's style is what you might expect backstage at a show. Beanies, skinny jeans and boots, he doesn't seem to be the horsey type. Keeping his hair short, he usually has it covered by a beanie, but when it's not, you can clearly see its tight curls. He might allow stubble to grow occasionally, but is mostly clean-shaven. All in all a sweet and goofy guy, Eli is a friend to all. He is naturally comfortable around everyone, and will always stop to help someone in need. He has an almost endless patience, and he loves all living things. Always bright with an ever-present beaming smile, Eli, although his forward and bubbly nature might not be everyone's cup of tea, makes a fantastic friend to those who get close to him, always there for those who need him with a kind word and a listening ear. Born on a small ranch just outside of Arlington, Eli has grown up on horseback. He began to aid his father on the ranch at just age seven. After witnessing his father's death after an incident with a steer, young Eli stopped talking - something not believable by those who know him nowadays. Not even four years of speech therapy could help. At age thirteen, he discovered theatre, most specifically, musicals, and he began to speak again, but his words remained sparse and few. His musical talents, however, shone through, his confidence building with each audition and show that he took part in. However, his schoolwork suffered because of his speech issue, and so he dropped out at age 16. His step-father refused to allow him to continue theatrics after he left school, and so he continued to work on his mother's ranch until his step-father convinced her to sell it. Betrayed and heart-broken, Eli moved away from home, getting a job as soon as he could at any ranch that would take him. Luckily, he found himself at his current job, and he's been happily working here since.
