Eaglestar has always been a very resilient determined cat who has strived for greatness from the start. But for him it was easy, he was born to a former deputy and his mate. Once he proved he was at least better than his siblings, his father was able to convince their leader, Snowstar, to take him as her apprentice. Snowstar agreed and immediately began his training. Because of this he considered himself very special and took a special interest in memorizing the warrior code and their clans traditions. Once he became a warrior, special warrior, as a mentor he taught these in a very strict manner. Though this was only because he truly believed this was the best way for the clan. His mentor, his parents, and his older clan mates had always told him this was the best way. And now he believes he is doing the best he can for his clan, not knowing that this isn't the best for some.. Besides this he can be very independent at times, not enjoying allowing others to help. He's still getting use to being the one whose really in charge and can make a few mistakes so he relies a lot on his deputy to call him out if he is. Something he secretly hates doing because he wants to be able to do it all himself, since he knew the job of deputy so well, but he knows this is the right way to do it and it'll work out eventually for him. He can be harsh with the rules but he does care deeply and only wants what's best.
Eaglestar was born to a former deputy and his mate. He was mentored by their previous leader, Snowstar. He spent time as a special warrior before he was promoted to deputy after his father's death. This was at the end of Snowstar's reign and she didn't last much longer after that. Losing her final life to greencough at the beginning of last leafbare. Before she died however she revealed to him a few secrets.. Because of this he is now refusing to go to gatherings. Only telling his medicine cats and his deputy why this is.

Puddlejump is a very calm patient tom, he acts much older than he actually is, and would be mistaken for a kind elder if he didn't have such a youthful look. He is not known to raise his voice, even in tough situations. He prefers to fight with words before he fights with claws but this is not to be mistaken for weakness. He enjoys mentoring apprentices and can often be seen helping them out with their duties. He does not believe in normal punishments, preferring to find creative ways to teach lessons. He is very respectful but believes it is a two way street. And though respect should always be shown to those above you or to those you meet, he also knows it needs to be earned and if it is not than there is no reason to continue to show it. He is not afraid to speak out when he knows something is wrong, but if he is unsure he will not say anything until he is.
Puddlejump has only one sibling, or at least only one living one. His littermates and hers died at a very young age and their names are lost to all but their ancestors now. He has lived a fairly normal clan life except for the death of his sisters friend and his parents so soon together. This was the driving point for him finally being allowed in her life. Though he always wanted to be, never quite understanding her reject of him at first. Or her rejection of closeness now. He worries deeply for her, but does not speak of it fairly often, he is not one to gossip after all.
He believes in the traditions but also doesn't really think theres anything wrong with them. He doesn't realize it could be harmful towards some cats.

Sorrowstep is a very quiet she-cat, she still has a lot of grief but is working through it in her own way. She is afraid to get too close to anyone, fearing the very worst. She can be quite mysterious at times, making odd decisions and never really explaining them. She is semi close to her older brother, but not even he understands her. She comes across as quite elegant and put together however, not one to display her emotions or wishes. But she can be sassy and playful at times, though she won't go far enough to establish anything.
Sorrowstep was not always known by this name and this is not the name she pictured herself with when she was a young apprentice. Back then she was known as Spottedpaw, and to this day she still yearns for a name that starts with spotted, holding out frail hope that her name will be changed to Spottedstep. Though she knows this name does fit her. For when she was an apprentice she witnessed great tragedy. Spottedpaw is the younger sibling of Puddlejump, all of their littermates having died quite young leaving only one from each litter. She was quickly aware that she was not as well liked as him and this made her distance herself from him. In doing so she became very close to another apprentice, one who she fell inlove with. He was her whole world, and she was there when it came crashing down.. They had snuck out, as apprentices are known to do from time to time, but this time they ran into a fox.. They were only 10 moons old and no match for the fox. He defended her, sending her away to get help and she did, leaving him alone with the fox. She had believed he could run from it, escape long enough for her to get help. But when the clan returned, it was already too late. This devastated her and her grief was unimaginable, her greatest and only friend, the tom she thought she'd spend her whole life with, was ripped from her from one foolish outing. Not long after her parents perished as well. Because of this she fell into a deep depression, talking only to her mentor and finally to her brother. When it came time for her warrior ceremony she was given her name, and her new prefix, named after the grief that had consumed her at the time.
She doesn't agree with the traditions though she stays quiet about it.

Rainypaw is a very excitable young she-cat who loves to make friends with anyone she comes in contact with. When she meets someone outside of the clan she can be just as friendly unless she first meets them within clan boundaries in which case she acts very suspicious and untrusting. She tries hard to be as helpful as possible to her fellow clan mates but can come off as slightly overbearing. When she realizes this she is quick to back off and will wait a while before she tries to speak to the cat again. She loves to explore and can be slightly naive about it, unconcerned with the dangers of the world outside of her knowledge. This does not mean she's too airheaded to be a good warrior, and she takes a lot of pride in her abilities and her loyalty to her clan.
Rainypaw has had a normal life within the clan, growing up with her only littermate and brother Stormypaw.
She doesn't agree or disagree with the traditions, she doesn't have much of an opinion about it.

Stormypaw is still trying to find his place in this clan and in this world. Though unlike his sister he doesn't greet life with open arms. He is quieter, often called a grouch and being told he'd make a good elder one day. He want to someone of importance one day and is angry that he was not chosen as one of the special cats. He feel this was very unfair and not a good way to choose something. He thinks he could have what it takes if he wasn't looked down on for being one of the "regular" apprentices. Because of this he can be very cold to the "special" warriors and apprentices. He assumes they all think their better than everyone else. So he chooses to focus on his training and making friends with cats who aren't so special.
Has had a normal life so far, growing up with his only littermate, Rainypaw.
He doesn't believe in the traditions, he thinks their outdated and idiotic.

Snowstar lived to be quite old for a leader, at least in her opinion as she liked to think of herself as a dainty old lady in life. She was a very regal cat in life and continues this in death. She was the last leader of MountainClan who had Eaglestrike, now Eaglestar as her last deputy. She mentored many apprentices in her time, careful to teach them all the ways of the Clan, making them vow to her that they'd never stray. She was a big believer in the rules and traditions of her Clan and felt following them brought her closer to StarClan. Though she was known for keeping secrets, sometimes even from her deputy and medicine cats. She revealed these secrets, or at least some of them, before her death. She is often seen bringing prophecies to the new leader and to the medicine cats who she misses terribly. Though now she's much calmer and quieter, in life whenever she'd get upset or was challenge she was known to cause a ruckus, ditching her regal appearance to become a loud stubborn cat who wouldn't take no for an answer. Which she still has a hard time doing.
