Rooknose, as a matter of fact, was born outside the Clan
with the name of Rory. His family passed away quite ear
ly, upon which the young Rory, having observed the wor
kings of FallenClan for some time, approached a border
patrol and asked to join, and never looked back. He was
given the prefix Rook- for his tuxedo pelt, and earned, in
due time, his warrior name. He now considers himself a
full Clan cat, and tends to treat anyone who looks down
upon him with a cold disdain. Though Rooknose in gener
al is not the most openly affectionate of cats, he does ha
rbour much gratitude to the Clan for taking him in during
a time when he was vulnerable, and is a diligent warrior.

Though a naturally quiet cat, Rooknose has a
commanding presence. His skill in observation
was what earned him his warrior name, and
cats are often startled upon first witnessing
his seemingly omniscient knowledge. He is an
immensely quick study and especially good at
strategizing not only battles but relationships
-- he thus tends to offer advice if he believes
someone around him needs help. Notably, he
is sparse in his own personal relationships de
spite his proclivity to help others with theirs.

Rooknose is pragmatic, and though his morals
are not exactly skewed, he is also unafraid of
taking whatever steps necessary to ensure the
neatest solution to any problem he is dealing
with. To say he does not have a heart would
be untrue, but he may come off as callous or
cold to those unused to his methods. Besides
this, Rooknose can be unnervingly silent in his
movements, and is not one to show much em
otion. Though he can be exceedingly mannerly,
he has difficulty trusting & befriending others.

Though he does respect her as the deputy of the Clan, he does consider her garrulousness a bit irritating at times if he's in a particularly foul mood, though he does his best not to let it show. He does admire her frequent witticisms, though, and overall believes her to be competent in her position and execution of her duties.

Beepaw - positive/neutral
Beepaw seems to be coming along in his training quite nicely from what Rooknose can see, and his ability to come up with efficient strategies and plans impresses Rooknose in particular. He does believe that Beepaw can afford to regulate his tongue and temper more often, though his moments of sass do occasionally amuse him.

Herontalon - positive/neutral
Level-headed, somewhat sad, and fatherly is the impression Herontalon gives off to Rooknose. The few times they talked, he seemed very kind, if a bit distant - Rooknose does his best to be sympathetic and gentle in turn, though as a cat who isn't the best at dealing with emotions himself, he's unsure of what else he could possibly do for his Clanmate.

Doveheart - neutral
The two have not interacted much, though Rooknose does admire Doveheart's generosity and propensity to help others. Her ability to observe has also particularly been notable to him, and if he ever wanted to consult someone as a second opinion on the details of a specific scene, he would probably consult Doveheart.

Lionclaw - neutral
A sort of gentle giant, Lionclaw comes off as a genial, cheerful tom with occasional startling moments of sharpness. Rooknose admires his skill in hunting and fighting and his selflessness, and considers him a good example for apprentices and other young cats to follow. He does find his infrequent moments of rudeness to be a bit perplexing, however.

Sootbird - negative
Her habit of sleeping in order to avoid her warrior duties annoys Rooknose to no end, as does her tendency to manipulate others in order to get her own way. Rooknose, when not irritated by her, is often baffled with her, and mostly just stays away as much as he can. He considers her to be a young, vain sort of cat and treats her with a cold facade of politeness most of the time.

Orchid - positive
Rooknose sees Orchid as a sensible, no-nonsense molly, and given that the two are similar in that they both prefer to observe and detest being underestimated; he thus considers her a bit like a kindred spirit, so to speak. Her diligent habits and quiet but intelligent conversation have overall caused her to earn his respect. He also feels a sense of connection with her given that she has a non-Clan background like him, as well.

Life Description

Not too long ago, Fernnose stood as Fernpaw a healthy member of the warrior apprentices. She was capable and clever, doing her best to follow orders and take initiative. It was her initiative that landed her in the medicine cat den for the wrong reasons. Chasing a squirrel through territory, she had been following it for a while when the small creature ran up an old tree. Confident in her climbing ability but lacking the fore-thought she jumped upwards. Upon landing on the tree the old wood creaked and teetered. Shocked and unsure of what to do, Fernpaw flung herself off of the tree. Or atleast she tried too, one of her claws had gotten stuck in the timber. She was stuck on the ride as the tree slowly swayed before collapsing on top of Fernpaw. At first young Fernpaw thought she had been spared a terrible fate until a sharp pain warned her of the consequences she would bare for the rest of her life. It took a while for her mentor and his patrol to find the apprentice trapped under the log by her tail and by the time she was carried to the medicine cat den her tail was long gone. Turtlewish did their best to patch up the tail but in the end her once luxurious tail was left as a mere stump.
At first Fernpaw was desperate to continue her duties, convinced that she would simply move on with her life. However the first step she took would prove otherwise. It was as if her body had stopped working; every step was a long sway as she struggled to stay upright. Reluctantly she accepted her fate and resigned herself to the medicine cat den, slowly picking up the herbs and spices that were used on her daily. A couple moons later and Fernpaw was unofficially helping Turtlewish out as their medicine cat apprentice. Warrior would come into their den with sore pads or thorns and they would be immediately deflected onto Fernpaw. It was in this the young she-cat found her new calling. She received her full named only recently and has been enjoying her time in the medicine cat den. A little part of her does dream of being a warrior and even though she has regained most of her balance she is still incapable of most of the moves warriors her age are capable of.
