but Ashtail stubbornly refused. Several moons later, Eaglepaw became a warrior.
His golden eyes, superlative swiftness, small stature,
and seemingly tireless energy earned him his lighthearted name. A humble but naive cat,
Eaglebee was content with his rank, never expecting to become a deputy or a leader,
with his disapproving mother constantly telling him that he had the potential to do more.
