I feel like there are going to be a lot of love triangles involved in this roleplay. Great, I love those types of things. c:

-HISTORY-Born into the Viera pack, just a year after they established themselves as wild dogs among the Shining Mountains, Forrest has only ever known the life of hardships and hard losses far away from man's influence. He's dedicated four years of his service to Viera and is known for his swift hunting skills and sharp tongue. However, for being one who is skilled in the hunt, the slender canine chose to instead dedicate himself to tending to the wounds and ailments of his pack mates as he follows his late mother's paw steps in becoming an herbalist.
However, Forrest's personal views and opinions on this new dog pack of ten strong that has recently moved in are that of reservation and skepticism. He has no issue with driving them out of their territory or taking back from them what is rightfully their own. Winter is already hard enough as is for their own pack, let alone two. Sharing such precious resources and having it divided among so many... it simply is not possible without the ultimatum leading to the inevitable loss of life for both sides. Forrest's loyalties lie staunchly with that of his own pack, though. Even if he may somewhat inwardly feel a hint of pity for these new dogs who know so little of the wild, the slender healer simply can not afford such sympathies. He believes these new dogs will barely make it through their first winter here before finally leaving. All the better if they leave sooner to avoid needless bloodshed.-PERSONALITY--serious➸ Rarely one to joke, and perhaps often a bit too serious and prickly for many, Forrest is a realist in every sense of the word. He favors practicality and common sense when it comes to tending to those who come to him for aid. Which often leads him to chastising those of his pack who cause themselves injuries that perhaps could have been easily avoided if one watched where they put their eager paws. The slender healer does, however, have his rare moments of ease and merriment. Very rarely, though, and often only in private of course. Some say that the borzoi has shared a faint smile or soft chuckle to those whom he considers close-- but of course this is just a rumor.
-forthright➸ Direct and ever the brutally honest one of his pack, even to his alpha, Forrest is unafraid to voice his opinions on matters that present themselves as being foolhardy or brazen. He sees no sense in any pack mate risking needless injuries when they need them fit and strong for the coming winters. However, such a trait of his is not usually seen as a favorable one. Forrest has always had a sharp tongue for such things, one that often causes him to simply state the cold harsh truths of the matter to his patients where perhaps a more gentler approach is needed.
He was never one to sugarcoat the simple facts of the matter, and as such, is often perceived as uncaring and cold upon first impressions. Such things could not be further from the truth, however... though it is hard to see past his more icy disposition, Forrest cares deeply for those around him that he calls a dear friend. The only difference is that he feels it is his duty as healer to hide and mask away such pains and uncertainties like that of a festering wound, lest it causes those who depend on him to become fearful or lose all hope. To him, hope is one of the few things one has left when all is said and done, and often the best medicine one can give for a grim situation. A healer sacrifices much to tend to their pack above all else. One's unnecessary emotions are just another commodity of his to add to that list.
-knowledgeable ➸ Armed with the knowledge of past healers, Forrest has spent much of his time memorizing herbs and crafting his own unique potent remedies as he continues to learn about the plants around them. It is perhaps his keen intellect and delicate paws that have aided him most in this endeavor in both healing and tending to nursing or pregnant mothers. However, such knowledge also reveals what can harm and kill just as much so what may heal and mend. Such insight can be used to thwart those who would place his pack in harms way... or heal an enemy if perhaps he the rare mercy to do so. It's hard to say with Forrest sometimes what he will choose in the end.
-loyal ➸ Perhaps his one redeemable quality and one that very few ever question of the slender male. Forrest is loyal to his pack... almost deathly so. Though he may be a healer by title, he has fangs and experience in fighting and hunting like any other predator raised in the harsh wilds of their home. He will not hesitate to fasten his jaws upon an enemy's exposed throat, though he prefers more tact in doing so if it can be helped. There are many that often underestimate the sleek and agile form of the dainty healer. Deception is his strangest asset after all, as so many are but all too eager to allow an offer of aid close out of desperation should they be his foe.
Forrest is no novice to death. He has watched with reserved despair as many young and old have passed due to his limitations in the healing arts, but he would also not stand idly by and watch the pack he calls family suffer at the naivety of these new dogs that so blindly stumble through their land and claim their territory. Though he tolerates them for now, the slender canine will not hesitate to do what must be done for the good of his pack if such circumstances were to arise.
