In fact, she usually isolates herself until she can get to know someone better. Once she opens up to you, she's a very different dog. She's playful, considerate, and has very high sense of humor; you don't need to know rocket science in order to make her laugh. Charlie has a large amount of energy, and with her long, slim legs she enjoys running, sometimes even if it's just back and forth through a field. She's very friendly toward other dogs, even if she doesn't know them well she'll still respect them and be polite. Charlie would much rather solve a problem with words then spill unnecessary blood. This canine is passionate about her dreams and goals, and will persevere through thick and thin in order to achieve them. She's very strong-spirited and won't back down from what she believes in, this can be good or bad because she will refuse to give in. This causes her to be very stubborn at times, and the only opinions she'll show interest in are her own when she does get like this. Charlie can't stand seeing other dogs depressed or silently angry, and she'll often come up to them to try and comfort them. She believes there's some good in everyone and that everything has a reason to it. She's quite approachable if you just need someone to chat with, often not raising her voice when her temper reaches the limit. She's very patient and especially skeptical; this dog is not that easy to fool. She's quite intelligent and good at strategizing, but she is fairly inept during battle. Fighting may not be her strong subject but tracking and hunting are. She has an excellent sense of smell and adequate hearing, her eye-sight however is not as good as her other senses and her thick, wavy pelt sometimes makes it difficult for her to avoid obstacles, often getting snagged on bushes, trees, or other foliage. Being the breed of dog she is, she's also a skilled swimmer. Charlie is also very selfless, In fact if it were one of her closest friends she would practically throw herself in front of harm's way to save their life. She always tries to put others' needs before her's. Two of her favorite things to do are swimming when the moon is up, and sitting at the edge of a cliff, hill, or any high platform and just letting the cool breeze flow through her fur.►Mother- Iris(residence unknown)►Father- Riley(deceased)►Brothers- Caeser, Gizmo, Caleb, Rusty(residence unknown)►Sisters- Cassie, Penny, (residence unknown)►Offspring- none►Love Interest- none|may develop►Accent slightly Irish►Fears- not being able to see, oblivion, rejection, being alone in a wide, exposed area, tornadoes, lightning, being at a disadvantage in any way, betrayal, being taken advantage of, being abandoned, many more. ►Fertility- 80%Anatomy►Coat- dark red sable with darker tints and lighter highlights; dash of white near bottom of chest and an almost diamond-shaped white marking near the top of her head.►Eyes- deep, warm chocolate brown shrouded by a ring of barely noticeable, pale blue►Face- narrow head with a narrow, straight muzzle; slight roman nose(tilted)►Ears- large, droopy, floppy, wavy, thicker then pelt and rounded►Tail- long, wavy, almost feather-like; bent, thicker near the bridge ►Pelt- thick, wavy, sleek►Back- straight with a shallow slope►Height- 25 in.►Weight- 55 lbs►Belly tuck-up- medium►Paws- small but sturdy; dull claws.►Scars- none►Musculature- 50%►Agility- 45%►Speed- 75%►Intellect- 80%►Accessories- wears a worn-out, black leather collar around her neck with three silver tags attached to it.Brief BioLong story short- Charlie was the runt of her litter, but her siblings and her parents treated her as any other individual. Charlie and her 6 siblings were all very close and went on adventures outside the house all the time, and though she struggled to keep up with the rest Charlie never let her size get the best of her. A few months after she was born Charlie's father passed away from a case of cancer. She was saddened by the loss, but she didn't let it get her down for long, unlike some of her other siblings. Due to the fact they owned 7 nearly full-grown Irish setters, Charlie's caretakers often left her out or forgot about her during playtime or on trips to the park. On a snowy day Charlie and her littermates were at the park; they were having a great time playing in the snow and chasing each other around, until the snow started coming down harder. Charlie was playing ball with her sister, Penny at the time, and Penny tossed it far into a bush, playfully taunting Charlie to retrieve it. Charlie ran and disappeared into the foliage a few heart-beats before one of their owner's called for she and her siblings to come back since it was started to blizzard. Penny, figuring Charlie had heard and would be back soon, abandoned her and ran back to the car with her brother's and sisters. Charlie, deep inside the brush, did not in fact hear her owner's call, and continued pushing her way through the leaves to retrieve the ball. She finally reached her destination, grabbed the ball, and pushed her way back out of the bush, only to find the park was empty. Her caretakers, nor her siblings were in sight. The blizzard got brutal, stinging Charlie's eyes and blasting against her thick pelt, so she decided to take shelter. The setter grasped the ball in her jaws and ducked into a colorful tube attached to the playground. For days she waited there, hoping her family would return to get her, but they never came. She became desperate for food, and was forced to leave the playground. The blizzard hadn't stopped for days and Charlie couldn't find any source of food, but she trudged on, determined not to give up.
(Will update this as the roleplay progresses c;)Relationships______________________________________________________________________________________Nikan's Pack•N i k a n•positive"Nikan was the first dog to step up and take on the role of leadership when us ten dogs were separated from our owners, and for that he has my gratitude and uttermost respect as I could not have the courage to take on such a heavy task. He is very courageous and has amazing leadership qualities; I think he is well-fit for the position, even though some of the dogs don't- specifically Sergeo. I really like Sergeo, in fact I really like both dogs, but sometimes Nikan and Sergeo's little fued for leadership frightens me, it makes me fear for the safety of the pack. Neither of them seem very agressive, but most of us were formerly
leashed dogs and the wild can change anyone; I'm just worried the pack will caught in the crossfire between the two at one point, though I hope that day never comes. Nikan cares deeply for the pack and he's most of time very friendly toward all of us, I don't think he'd ever make a decision if it wasn't for the benefit of the whole pack. Another thing I'm not too fond of is how unforgiving he is... he can become very cold, and I understand a leader must be strict at times to keep the pack under control, but doesn't everyone deserve a second chance?... Maybe I'm wrong, I'm just being too generous now.."
•S e r g e o•positive"I really admire his hardworking, friendly personality. Even though I've seen him lose his cool once or twice, he always catches himself before he goes too far and apologizes. He seems like a very nice dog and would probably be fun to be around. I also admire how selfless he is, Sergeo has convinced me that he would literally do anything to protect his pack. Also, he's funny! Sergeo makes me laugh all the time and I admire his playful sense of humor. Despite all this, he still makes me a little uncomfortable with he and Nikan's constant feud for the role of leadership, and I wonder how far he's be willing to go to claim the spot."
•A s t r i d•neutral "Astrid... she never really talks to me that much, in fact she never really talks period and I usually see her avoiding conversations, just kind of off to the side. But that's understandable, considering she's surrounded by several dogs she doesn't know if she can trust or not, honestly I'd probably do the same. I'd like to get to know her better though... perhaps if I take the time to approach her and actually try to talk to her myself, maybe, just maybe she'll open up to me and we can become friends. She is a nice dog afteral, from what I've seen."
•K u d z u•positive"From what I've gotten so far, Kudzu is quite friendly. She has a sharp tongue, often using at the wrong times which may lead her into danger some day, but I admire her courage, how out-going she is and her loyalty toward the pack. I don't like the fact that she is consistently brutally honest about things as sometimes it's not exactly necessary, but I must learn to accept it, being told the hard truth is better then a web of lies after all. I think if I try hard enough, Kudzu and I can become good friends."
•E n i d•neutral"I feel like Enid is very misunderstood, she just seems like a gentle giant to me. I observe her all the time and it appears she's quite reserved, but very sweet and cooperative; I don't find her difficult to get along with at all. I find it intriguing how persuasive she can be, she really has a way with her words but I still haven't decided exactly what to think of her. I won't judge, but I'll keep my distance for the time being. "
•J a e g e r•positive"I really don't know what to think of Jaeger. He seems reasonable and I've heard he is very experienced hunter; it seems like Nikan's Pack has a lot of those so that's good. But he looks very friendly and not the aggressive type, I think if I made an effort to get to know him we could be great friends. I also heard he loves to explore; I like to explore too!"
Viera Pack______________________________________________________________________________________•T h a y e r•negative "I-I'm not going to lie... I'm utterly terrified of this dog. It's enough that his massive size and bulky frame scares me, but his personality contributes to it as well. He lacks total empathy and mercy for other dogs and I heard he has a lust for aggression. I-I heard he k-killed the former leader of the Viera Pack just so he could claim the position for himself, and that frightens me even more. It shows Thayer is very determined and ambitious, to the point in which he would do anything to acquire what he wants. I haven't seen how he interacts with his pack, but he even if they are our enemies I hope he treats them well at least. I must sound like a scared, helpless, little pup, but if I ever cross paths with this brute... I honestly don't think I would stand a chance, my size, intellegimce, experience, and power is nothing compared to his. However, if any of my packmates are in danger I will not hesitate to launch myself into battle with this dog. I do have a certain advantage after all, I'm smaller and much more lithe than he is, maybe if I run fast enough he won't be able to catch me."
•Khal•positive"I've seen him around the territory a few times, and the way he interacts with his pack as beta is intriguing. He seems like a very experienced, intellegent, strong canine, which makes me fret for my own pack. I know he's on the opposing side, but I feel like I'm more fond and respectful of him then I should be, due to the fact he is an enemy. I don't know of his intentions yet, nor if he and his leader are even okay with my pack thriving in the territory along with his, but he just seems like such a gentle, calm, patient, hard-working brute. I really wish I could I get to know him better."
•Rogier•neutral"I don't have much to say about this dog. I respect him and his ways, but he is from an enemy pack. I heard he is highly intellegent, aggressive at times, and his size and muscular stature scares me. I fear he is a danger to our pack. He mocked me once while I was patrolling the area alone, calling me some weird name, but I didn't let it get it me. He seems very experienced at what he does and more, but I guess I can't judge a dog I know almost nothing about."
•D u k e•neutral"He is a member of the rival pack in our area, so I have mixed feelings about this brute. The amount of muscle he has and his large size scares me a bit, but other than that I've heard he's a very loyal, selfless, friendly male who is possibly just misunderstood? I'd certainly want to get to know him better if he were a part of my pack, but he's not... I shouldn't tempt myself in becoming friends with this dog."
•L e a l i a•neutral "I would think positively all the way for this dog if she wasn't from a rival pack. There is absolutely nothing about her I dislike, and if we were in the same pack together I think we could become very close friends. She's very loyal to her pack, selfless, considerate, sweet... honestly, at first glance I wouldn't think she could hurt a fly, but she doesn't deceive me. I know she's a very valued member of her pack and a brilliant hunter like myself, probably better than myself. I almost look up to her in way."
•A l e x i s•neutral"Oh wow, it's not every day I see another Irish setter like me! We look so alike and we're both great hunters; she seems like a very warm-hearted canine who would do anything to provide for her packmates, I admire her for that. There is, however, a reason I desire to not cross paths with her, and that's her temper. I hear she is easily provoked and will show her fangs in a flash, so talking to this dog would make me nervous, since I wouldn't know what things I can say that won't offend her in any way or that she won't take it the wrong way."
•I n a r i•neutral"Inari seems very experienced at what she does as well, and I've seen her glance at me a few times while on patrol. She's always so serene and serious out there, so I gather that she takes her job very genuinely. She seems friendly and level-headed enough that she won't bite my face off, but I still don't know exactly what to think of her. I respect her, but I'll keep my distance for now."
•A b r a•neutral"If we were in the same pack, I feel that most of the time I would really enjoy this dog's company, but other times I just wouldn't desire to be around her. She seems so confident and prepared to risk everything she has for the safety of her pack! I really admire her for that, I wish I was that confident all the time. Abra is really tough and a great athlete, I've seen her overcome so many inexplicable obstacles and still come out strong. Despite how stubborn, argumentative, and difficult this dog can be, I believe we could become somewhat friends if we weren't enemies."
•L i n k•positive"Umm, I mean what can I say? He's still a pup, and I love pups! He is, however, of the Viera Pack, so I guess I'll have to treat him like an enemy... I really commend how energetic this pup is and how he's so eager to learn from his companions, pups are the future of a pack after all right? It's a shame he's in the rival pack, I'm sure my pack could train him up and put his abilities to a good use. I hope his actual pack does the same... it almost makes me fear for him since Thayer is his leader."

He's brave, cunning, analytical, highly intelligent, loyal, and a very hard-working dog. He excels at training, very quick to understand and respond to his leader and mentor's commands. He is just as good at hunting and fighting as he is loyal, patient, faithful, fearless(almost) and keenly watchful, almost always able to detect danger before it arrives. He is a worthy, natural guard dog who loves to work and exercise in wide open spaces. Despite how friendly he portrays himself, Rog can be very intense and sets high expectations as the lead hunter in his pack, but he loves his soldiers all the same and tries his best to bring them up if they are discouraged, or falling behind. He can go from 0-100 in a heart-beat, making him fairly unreliable, even to his own pack. Sometimes he's fighting tactics are brutal and just plain savage. He does, however, have a soft-spot and will often bring it out, he's very protect of those related or dear to him. If you gain his trust, good for you! You've got a very trusting and loyal friend, who will never leave a packmate behind no matter who they are, including those he gravely dislikes. This canine may seem fearless and he almost is, but there are some situations where deep inside he is utterly terrified, though he never lets this show providing himself as a good example to trainees and dogs less experienced then him. He would do everything and anything to protect those he loves. But if you lose his trust, he'll likely never trust you again, even with the most simple tasks, or it is extremely difficult to regain it reguardless of the circumstances. Rog is respectful to his packmates, but sometimes he can lose his cool and during these times, trust me, you do not want to get on his bad side. He's highly intelligent, never acting before thinking and a very experienced hunter and fighter. He knew his siblings, but he strongest bond was with his brother, Damian. But even that relationship didn't last long due to him being transferred to another family a few days after he opened his eyes. Rog was part of a loving German family; he was well taken care of and he was very happy there, he was especially attached to the youngest human, a little girl named Jesse- until one fateful day. Rog was messing around with the little girl, having a great time playing tug of war, just like he used to during his pup years when there was a knock on the door. Rog's older caretakers opened the door, talking a long amount of time with the man standing before them. Rogier pricked his ears curiously, looking to see who was standing in the doorway. The man looked as though he came from the military. After a long conversation, Rog's caretakers let the man pass, looking somber afterward. Rog padded over to Jesse, standing defensively in front of her with his lips drawn back in a snarl as the military man approached him. He snapped at the man in warning but the human didn't flee, just threw a metal chain around his neck and pulled him away from Jesse. The little girl cried out for him to come back, and Rogier tried his best to overpower the man. He did for while, but then another man came, wrapping another metal leash around the chain. Rog was finally overpowered, and was forced out of the house, away from his family and away from Jesse.
The two men put him in a steel crate in the back of a truck and drove off, and he watched solemnly while he was taken further and further away from home. They drove for days, picking up many other dogs on the way, and then finally arrived at a military base. His crate was set beside many others, all with dogs that were pulled away from their families as well. The German military needed several dogs to assist them in the fighting of World War 2. Rogier soon realized his crate was right beside a very familiar dog that he once knew- his brother! After getting to talk with Damian after so long Rogier felt less lonely and scared. The two trained together side by side. They were taught how to detect danger ahead of time, they were taught how to track bombs and other explosives, they were taught to fight and how to work in pairs, how to track down scents and much more. On the day they were all assigned to partners, unlike Damian who was overly friendly and trusting, Rogier didn't get along with his partner, Alexander, at all. Alex constantly tried to bond with him, but Rogier wasn't interested and played hard-to-get. It took a lot of getting used to, but eventually Rog and his partner saw eye-to-eye and began to cooperate with each other. They made a great team and shared an unbreakable friendship. During the tough training Rog sprained his left ear and Damian broke his nose.
On their first actual operation, Rogier and Damian were sent with their handlers and few others to sniff out three bombs that were planted somewhere in one of the German headquarter's. Rog was severely worried about Damian since the canine hadn't fully recovered from his incident. To his surprise, Damian tracked one of the bombs, and a pitbull mix named Harley found the other one. With one bomb left to find and disable, Rog worked his hardest to locate it. Damian padded into one of the headquarter's large sheds to search, while Rogier searched outside. He soon caught the scent, and followed his nose to the source of the last bomb. To his dismay, the scent lead right into the shed Damian was searching in. His eyes widened, and he quickly shouted at Damian to get out of there. At the same time the bomb went off. The shed burst into a flurry of flames, shooting up into the sky. The force of the explosion caused Rog to tumbled backwards, and the other humans and dogs watched in shock. After the flames were extinguished, he rushed forward, throwing off clusters of debris and stone and finding Damian underneath. Rogier placed his head on his brother's chest to listen for a heart beat, but it was deathly still. Damian was dead. He bowed his head with tears in his eyes while Damian's partner solemnly carried his body away.
On his second operation, Rogier and his partner, along with others ambushed a French machine-gun nest and helped take 5 of the men captive.
On his third operation, Rogier, Alexander, Harley, and many others were ambushed by French soldiers. Harley took a round to his eye and died shortly after, and two other dogs, a collie mix named Dixie and an older, more experienced Beauceron named Vandal were also killed in action. Rog's handler was wounded badly, so he attacked the opposing soldiers with all his might, giving his handler enough time to call reinforcements. Rogier and his partner participated in over 20 other patrols and 9 major operations before they too were sent to fight in the war.
During World War 2 Germany was in conflict with many other states. The war had already been going for 4 years by the time they joined in. The war was long and brutal, but Rogier and his partner stayed strong through it. Rog and his partner served in the war for 2 and a half years until one afternoon, Alexander was shot down. Rogier stood over Alex in order to protect him at all costs, taking a bullet to the shoulder in the process. Wounded and furious, Rog refused to let anyone near his handler, not even to give him medical assistance. He had to be pried away from Alex by three men in order for them to help the fallen soldier. Alex was too badly injured and died shortly after. For the rest of the time, Rogier was used as a delivery dog, taking supplies and messages across the battlefield, but soon he grew too reckless and too aggressive to even do that. When he was given a new handler, he bit the man in the hand when the soldier attempted to pet him, severely wounding him. After 6 years, the day after that the war finally ended.
The German army decided Rogier was too aggressive to go back to his family, so instead they locked him in the crate and shipped him to another military base in Germany. Rogier couldn't handle going back and doing it all over again, so during the drive there he slammed his body against the crate. He did this multiple times before he felt go it to turn over and roll out of the back of the truck. The crate tumbled down a hill, crashing into a large tree. He hit his head against the metal cage hard and passed out. It was blizzarding at the time, and the snow was climbing higher. He woke a few days after, still in the crate. He went without food for weeks, but drank the water in the snow for hydration. Rogier called for help but nobody seemed to hear. He lay silently in the crate. His short coat didn't help with the cold weather at all. Finally, a group of dogs discovered his crate half-buried in the snow and helped him out. He has thrived in the Native Pack ever since.Relationships•N i k a n•TBA•L e a l i a•TBA •A l e x i s•TBA•S e r g e o•TBA•C h a r l i e•TBA•D u k e•"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.
