Good question!
Yes they can! For all intensive purposes they are normal living creatures. All of the spirit guides(Except for the ones who are currently alive and Mahdra didn’t have to draw them out of the wolves) were once alive but was used by as an animal's first anchor to reality before the connection with their patron deity was made. Sorry, I plan on writing up a long comprehensive thing on what they actually are and how the work but I’ve just been waiting for a time when the world stops crashing down around me. :T (also Rook would probably be pretty ticked if someone attacked her squirrel!)
If anyone has any questions what so ever please Please ask! I know I’ve a very confused person and others probably are wondering the same thing so always feel free to ask me and I can try to explain.
Also hmm, For new two new characters I'm not sure. You could always just play it safe and do male and female?

Also, addressing everyone, I was thinking of having a character cap at 7, not including pups and elders. Just so things don't get to confusing and 50% of the pack isn't just a couple people. What do you guys think?

Dude don’t feel bad about being inactive, we all do it(particularly me all day every day) and this is a low stress rp in terms of replying! As long as you don’t disappear for a whole month or forever or something don’t worry about it! You’ve already done so much for this rp!

Also on an unrelated note to everything above, I do think romance is fun and I encourage it but please keep in mind everyone this is a plot based role play and the focus should stay on that and not relationships. I’m not saying that romance has been a problem yet but I do think It needed to be said. Building relationships is great but friendship and family like dynamics seen to go underrated when they can be some of the best parts of an rp! The pack needs babies but its members also need to form some close connections with each other in order to function. There's going to be some tough times ahead for the pack and everyone is going to have to learn how to work together, even wolves with easy to work with, loving personalities like Chestnut and Cynn. I’m not saying it should be easy and happen quickly and it shouldn’t be! Character development takes time and having them adjust and adapt in order to survives is hard but it is also incredibly fun and rewarding!
Or maybe I’m just the only one who thinks that way, who knows! Really you guys can disregard this would rant, it's just me having a bit of a vent, I don’t mean anything by it!
