One day, when he was about three moons old, three twolegs found them and captured them all, except for Birch, who was fast enough to escape. Aaaahhh shoot, guys, this is totally on me because I was stupid and spaced out when reading some of the pasts of the characters... Nobody really would be from the "real Leafclan," or at least, very few. If they were they'd be incredibly old, some 100+ moons old, and even then, they'd be kits or apprentices, young warriors at the very most, when it fell.
