Guidelines/rules for character creation;


— No wings, horns, powers, or otherwise unnatural additions to your wolf. Deformities are fine.

— Where possible, choose characteristics for your wolf that suit their pack. There are specific characteristics that are more common/exclusive to each pack, so keep that in mind when making your wolf and choosing their pack. I don't mind if a few wolves have uncommon characteristics, but try to follow the guidelines for it. Arena characteristics can be found here; Folium can be found here.

— Prettying up your forms is encouraged, but not compulsory.

— Remember to try and keep genders even!

— All sexualities are accepted.

— Female alpha positions aren't available. You will have to try and win Quinlan or Aaron's heart!

— When applying for the high ranks (i.e. Beta, Healer/Legate, Medic) PM me with a roleplay example and I will decide whether or not you're at an appropriate level of literacy to take that rank. Keep in mind high ranking wolves need to be more active. Until your request for a rank has been denied or approved, please list your wolf as being a subordinate on their form. If approved, you may then change the rank on their form.

— The character limit is three.

— I will be roleplaying Quinlan and Aaron (the alphas of Arena and Folium, respectively) at the beginning of the roleplay. At some point shortly into the RP I will allow someone else to take over as Aaron and get a chance at being an alpha. If you're interested in this keep in mind you mustn't have 3 characters already if you want to be eligible to rp him. I will require rp examples from those who want to rp him so I can choose the best possible person for the job.

personality: Quinlan is quiet, reserved, and calculating. It takes a lot to earn his trust; after all, he was lied to about the identity of his parents for the first year of his life. He is slow to rouse into action, but when he sets his mind to something, it's almost impossible to sway him from his course. Quinlan is difficult to fool - he's cautious and intelligent, and very little escapes his notice. Quinlan's emotions are not easily stirred; it's next to impossible to ignite his temper, but that's also true of his other emotions - he struggles to show even the most basic feelings, and this can make him seem cold and heartless to many.

personality: Aaron is, in some respects, the polar opposite to his brother Quinlan; optimistic, trusting, and unpredictably erratic. While you can count on Quinlan to resolve an issue by looking at both sides carefully, Aaron tends to jump to conclusions and make judgements based on assumption rather than fact. Aaron is loud, boisterous, and energetic, which more than makes up for Quinlan's quiet demeanour. He tends to take action first and think about it later, and often has trouble controlling his emotions, which are intense and easily influenced by his thoughts and surroundings. Despite his capricious nature, Aaron is extremely affectionate and caring, and forms attachments to others quickly. Though they have many differences, Aaron and Quinlan share an almost obsessive determination to see things through to their end.

personality: In her youth, Takaani was a very happy-go-lucky and friendly female, a social butterfly who was rather gifted in getting quieter wolves to come out of their shell. Nowadays, she is much quieter and subdued, and nowhere near as social as she used to be. She's a bit cautious with befriending other wolves and often shies away from close relationships. She's highly intelligent and very level-headed. As a medic she has a no-nonsense approach to things and will not hesitate to tell anyone off if they do not heed to her medical advice. She has a calm way about doing things which helps her put her patients at ease, but she will not let anyone treat her like a doormat. She's confident in her skills and is incredibly stubborn, and she doesn't take others ordering her around well at all. Despite her talents as a medic, she's a more than capable hunter and fighter. Loyalty and honesty are things she values highly in others and has absolutely no forgiveness in her heart for those who betray. Her loyalty and friendship has no limits once you've earned it, as she would gladly do anything for those she holds close.

history: Originally, Takaani was born the eldest daughter to the alpha pair of the Ade pack. As the eldest, it was an obvious choice that she be the next ruler. However, many of the wolves believed that the eldest male should be the heir, seeing as it was their old fashioned belief that the sons were the true heirs and daughters were not able to lead the pack. Such was the start of the divide. Nokosi, the eldest brother, was raised believing that he was the rightful heir to the pack and that Takaani and his parents had taken that from him. He grew bitter towards his family, and often spoke badly of them often as the years went by. With the passing of the alpha female, the alpha male realized that it was time for him to step down so that Takaani would take his place. However, Nokosi challened him for the right to rule the pack. As the alpha, he had no choice but to accept the challenge. The alpha fell to the younger and stronger male, and Nokosi took control of the Ade. He banished Takaani as well as several of the elders who supported her. Feeling broken with the deaths of her parents and the hatred of her brother as well as her remaining siblings, she chose to stay with the elders in hopes that even with their small numbers that they'd have a better chance of survival than she could alone. Luck however was not on her side, as her companions fell ill and passed away not a year after her exile. With time, she grew able to provide enough for herself to survive. In her travels, she came across two groups of wolves that had left their former packs in the pursuit of a better life for themselves. After some time of getting to know them, she was accepted into their ranks and chose to go with the Arena pack. Due to her knowledge of herbs and other medical related healing, she was moved to a medic and has remained so ever since.
