a strict and well-respected warrior is he. elmstorm is the son of two cats known as cedarclaw (♂) and badgerheart (♀) along with his litter mate antpelt (♀). As a kit he spent time close to his mother and studying the way the world moved around him. countless hours would pass as elmkit watched insects fly over head, leaves shiver on knobby branches and water drip from the nursery entry.

As time passed in the nursery two she-cat's were born that elmstorm became friends with. A fluffy she-cat with a bronze coat aptly named goldenkit and a white and black spotted she-cat named swirlkit. the trio were a happy bunch until one moon before goldenkit's apprentice ceremony when her brother died. after that day elmpaw and goldenkit began fighting often. she was shaken up about the death and elmstorm had been taught death was apart of life. he was enraged that the kit was letting it ruin her day. SIn two moons swirlkit became swirlpaw and the two discussed their shared desire to be deputy. deep down elmpaw always believed he be deputy before his younger, and seemingly weaker she-cat friend. still the two apprentices had a goodhearted friendship with a little healthy rivalry over who could become the better warrior and eventually be the deputy of Larkclan.
