to most cats, hazelpaw is a closed book. his introverted personality makes him difficult to become friends with,
as he prefers to spend his time either alone in the forest or in the medicine cat den. however, his most favorite
place is the waterfall. it's like his own private haven where he can discover new herbs and explore the den-like
cavern inside. in fact, he has made a hidden herb-storage in the cave where he likes to work out what each new
herb does what, often by trying them out on himself. this may sound like a bad idea at first thought, but hazelpaw
has an ability to quickly pick up on every little detail from herbs he has experience with and apply the details to
the new herb. hazelpaw prefers being awake at night, sometimes sneaking out of camp to wander the territory
and search for herbs. as a result of this, he is often tired throughout the day, and most cats will call him lazy for
napping whenever he has the chance. he is also quiet, not liking to branch out and express himself. he will only
allow others to get to know him if he truly trusts them, which is when he becomes more confident and considerate.
he has a kind personality that always puts others in front of himself. he has a lot of love to give and is never afraid
to tell anyone about something good. his too-nice attitude can make him the subject of teasing at times, and he'll
lose his confidence very quickly. when this happens, he goes through a short break in which he will block out other
cats and spend long periods of time alone. he vents his anger by working at things he isn't particularly skilled in,
such as hunting. his insecurities about his attitude and smaller structure are always in the back of his mind, though
his has tried to accept himself and hide them the best he can. in short, hazelpaw is a cat of many layers, one being
timid and shy, the next being loving and kind, another one being hardworking and confident, and the last being
charismatic and sweet.

hazelpaw was born to dawnfeather, a queen, and tigerfang, the deputy. he was the only kit born in his litter and had
to grow up on his own. during his kithood, he spent most of his time with the medicine cat, taking a great interest in
herbs. despite this, his father wanted him to become a warrior in the future and tried to persuade him to become a
regular apprentice. hazelkit obliged to this, however he was unhappy with his lack of skills in hunting and fighting.
he would sneak out of the nursery at night and went to be with the medicine cat for moons before reaching six moons
of age. hazelkit spoke with the leader about becoming the medicine cat apprentice and the leader agreed, not telling
his parents. the ceremony took place and hazelkit became hazelpaw, earning his new rank of the medicine cat apprentice.
dawnfeather and tigerfang were furious, though didn't stop him from following his dream. they simply ignored him and
acted as if he was just a regular clan cat. hazelpaw's father died a moon after he became an apprentice, and his mother
disappeared soon after that, most likely from grief.

wrenwhisker ;; ✘ hazelpaw and wrenwhisker tend to keep their distance from each other, as hazelpaw isn't too fond of her bubbly personality. whenever the warrior arrives at the medicine cat den, he tries to avoid caring for her and lets swiftcloud take care of her instead. when wrenwhisker first joined the clan, the two cats had a rocky start, as hazelpaw had accidentally insulted her by cracking a joke about her brother. the warrior eventually forgave him, but they still disliked each other to some extent. hazelpaw has thought they didn't get along because of their opposite personalities. for instance, wrenwhisker is super extroverted while hazelpaw is super introverted. they don't know each other too well, but then again they don't really want to.

starlingflight ;; ✔ ever since hazelpaw was first introduced to the young warrior, he always felt a soft spot for him. they are both similar in the sense that they were outcasts; hazelpaw being locked away from his family while starlingflight was locked away from his clanmates. hazelpaw wishes to help guide the tom through his new rank as a deputy, however his shy personality prevents him from getting to know the cat.

cloudpaw ;; ✘ like wrenwhisker, cloudpaw is outgoing and opposite to hazelpaw. he had recently became the medicine cat apprentice when her brother, reedkit, passed away and blamed himself for the kit's death, which badly affected him for many moons. cloudpaw disliked him for not being able to heal her sibling, and hazelpaw disliked her for not realizing that it wasn't his fault entirely. since then, the two apprentices distance themselves from each other.

hawkstep ;; ● hazelpaw and hawkstep haven't interacted too many times, as the warrior rarely comes to the medicine cat den. although he did come one time and acted rudely towards the apprentice, hazelpaw forgave the tom as it seemed he was in pain and had a right to be upset.

pansyflower ;; ✔ although the warrior is somewhat sociable, hazelpaw doesn't dislike pansyflower, as her calm and caring personality outshines her extroverted side when she is seen in the medicine cat den. hazelpaw appreciates her patient attitude, for he often has to deal with irritated cats.

applewhisker ;; ✘ a cat known for being energetic and cheery doesn't go well with hazelpaw. applewhisker was always one hazelpaw saw as an annoyance. even though he wants to get along with applewhisker, he can never seem to get past her lively personality.

wolfpaw ;; ✔ hazelpaw greatly appreciates wolfpaw, as the apprentices tends to leave him alone which can be helpful when he undergoes a lot of stress being responsible for everyone's well-being. wolfpaw's intimidating appearance and intense attitude first frightened hazelpaw, but that changed when he realized he was actually a very caring cat.

purpleflower ;; ● hazelpaw hasn't interacted with purpleflower that much, however he appreciates her motherly personality as it makes him remember how his own mother used to act.

jaystar ;; ● hazelpaw greatly dislikes his own leader, though he feels like he should appreciate jaystar in some way. the tom is the main reason for the apprentice's stress, for his insanity never seems to heal no matter what he does. hazelpaw truly tries his hardest to heal the tom, but deep down he just wants the leader to die because that would result in bogclan perhaps becoming great again.

poppydawn ;; ✔ the few times hazelpaw had to heal poppydawn were, for the most part, positive and didn't result in any arguments between the cats. the she-cat seems like a skilled warrior and surely is a great part to the clan, and hazelpaw admires her loyalty to each cat.

ravenstorm ;; ✔ otterkit's death greatly affected the queen, though it didn't stop ravenstorm from continuing to care for abandoned kits. hazelpaw loves how she remained a queen and stayed warmhearted. hazelpaw feels bad that he couldn't save her kit, but he also thinks that his death benefited the she-cat and taught her to keep loving even if something heartbreaking occurs.

lilystorm ;; ✘ the she-cat's harsh attitude which never seemed to stop always irritated hazelpaw. lilystorm tended to become impatient during the worst times, causing hazelpaw to fret even more in serious situations. he isn't familiar with her relationship towards her kits, but from what his mentor says, hazelpaw disapproves the distance she keeps from them.

swiftcloud ;; ✔ as hazelpaw's mentor, he obviously looks up to the tom. swiftcloud inspired the young cat to become his apprentice in the first place, and hazelpaw has a lot of respect towards him. their similar personalities go along well with each other and hazelpaw appreciates his often calm and relaxed nature, especially when hazelpaw gets worried over something. swiftcloud acted like a fatherly figure to the apprentice when his own parents abandoned him, and is still seen like a relative more than a mentor to the cat.

privetfang ;; ✔ hazelpaw doesn't spend much time with the she-cat, as whenever she comes to the medicine cat den swiftcloud is the one to heal her, however the she-cat seems like a good cat to be around. privetfang has spoken to the medicine cat apprentice several times, and her more competitive side humors hazelpaw.

nightface ;; ✔ like privetfang, nightface is usually helped by swiftcloud, though he is more talkative to the apprentice than his sister. his flirtatious and charming personality entertain hazelpaw.

ivypaw ;; ♥ at first, hazelpaw didn't understand his feelings towards the tom. he always believed love was between a tom and a she-cat, and his attraction towards ivypaw confused him. as hazelpaw learned more about the apprentice, he accepted it. to avoid embarrassing himself, hazelpaw tries to stay away from ivypaw. he appreciates the younger cat's patience, as it helps the medicine cat apprentice stay calmer when helping him, and his good nature was something hazelpaw wished he shared.

complex and unusual are what most cats describe wrenwhisker as. she is one in a million, for her personality
is so strange that others have no idea how to explain her. because of her odd nature, she is often misunderstood
and difficult to understand. this can discourage her sometimes if other cats treat her as if she is a kit. although
she does sometimes behave similarly to a kit, spontaneous and not caring what others think. because of this,
she will do absolutely everything without hesitation. she enjoys making others happy, and that is one of his
goals in life. she is positive and prefers seeing the good in things rather than the negative ones. she is also
extroverted and speaks well with anyone, whether they are complete strangers or good friends. she doesnt find
it hard to express her feelings and talk out loud about what is on her mind and about her opinions. this may result
in her not liking being alone, and she can sometimes get too clingy around other cats. but deep under this,
wrenwhisker can be serious at times when he needs to. she understands orders well and is a loyal clanmate, as
she had to prove herself when she joined bogclan. she also has a special way of connecting to others, especially
kits. perhaps its her warmheartedness or that shes easy to approach, but nobody really knows why young cats are
so drawn to her. wrenwhisker is a very complex cat, and even her closest friends cannot describe her at times!

wrenwhisker was born named sinclair in a small clan in the highlands, far from bogclan. sinclair grew up alongside
her brother, novocaine, and sister, anastasia. the clan was tortuous and was planning to use the kits in a war against
another clan. when sinclair was about fourteen moons old, she murdered each clan member, including her parents,
to save her siblings from the inevitable war. they escaped and lived as rogues for many moons, her sister anastasia
dying from an attack by a rogue clan during then. sinclair and novocaine were badly wounded and strayed onto
bogclan territory, eventually being found by a patrol, who offered to give the two cats comfort so they could
recover. novocaine immanently accepted the offer, though sinclair refused, as he still felt grief from his previous
clan. she lived alone for two moons, spending her time learning more about herself and thinking about his actions.
she always felt lonely from being away from her brother, so she returned to bogclan and agreed to join as a warrior.
novocaine had sadly passed away from his wounds shortly after he earned his warrior name nightfang, and sinclair,
now wrenwhisker, was heartbroken. she wished she couldve spent more time with him and wished she had become
a warrior with him. wrenwhisker lived through her sorrow and eventually opened up to the clan.

pansyflower is a very patient and calm cat, she
rarely speaks her mind, though molly is definitely
not shy, she loves company and getting to know
each and every cat in her clan - which this isn't
always a good thing, some may find this annoying
and end up hating her and that is what she is very
much afraid of.
