History/background: Deerpaw had an identical twin named Sapphirepaw. They were best friends and always played together when they had the time. Sadly, when the two apprentices were playing by one of the fast flowing streams during leaf-bare, Deerpaw fell in and she could not swim. Sapphirepaw rescued her, but could only save Deerpaw's life. She blames herself for her sister's death constantly, because she wanted to be Sapphirepaw's only friend and it made her frustrated that she wasn't.
