- Kingdom of Womuntu (of the human). Despite the name meaning, a little under half of the population is animal shifters, those who are usually frowned upon. It is illegal to shift inside the walls of largely populated the kingdom town, Likhanya (shining sun), as many of the human citizens fear the shifters. Outside the walls of Likhanya is a town, called Ikhaya (home), that holds group of rebels, the Abaphi (givers), who wish to take down the royals and their rules. The Abavikeli (protectors) are the select royal guard who are there to take in any soldiers of the Abaphi and imprison them.
In the castle, the oldest Prince and a Duke's daughter, who herself is a shifter, are destined to get married! Everyone in the kingdom thought they were meant for each other, including the King and Queen. However, the others never saw into the heart of the Duchess. She did not want to marry the Prince, she believed in the ways of the Abaphi, wanting to have freedom for those who were born shifters. On the day of their wedding, she escaped to the Abaphi camp. To this day, the royals do not know of where the Duchess went, but she now helps the Abaphi to on day take down the Abavikeli and take back the kingdom.
