The land of Zittasia was created by a great Goddess, Cosmos, the Goddess of Creation. However, she had a mortal enemy, Chaos, the God of Destruction. Chaos made it his goal to destroy her world. However, his one weakness was the light of the sun, which Cosmos made sure her world had plenty of. With four suns, Cosmos made sure Chaos could never leave his Nether Realm. But she made a mistake, the creation of eight moons. The historians of Zittasia believe that there will be a day where two moons will cover each sun, an event known as The Darkening. The Darkening has happened before, but not with all four suns being blocked out at the same time. If The Great Darkening happens, Chaos will rise. When will The Great Darkening happen, and if it does, will Chaos destroy our world?

Species:

Humans:

Ranging from dark to light skinned, humans are adaptable sentient beings that live just about anywhere. They are usually very resourceful, but they often have poetical differences that usual break the race apart. They often do trade with many species.

Dokkalfar:

Blue, purple, or pale gray skinned beings, their names roughly translate to : "Dark Elves". They are brilliant mages that that master in spells. They are a social, but solitary race. They are often involved in trading with other species. They usually separate themselves from the outside world by making temples and grand cities with shrines to their make believe goddess, Mitharu.

Children of The Forest:

The Children of the Forest are forest elves that are born and remain 10 years old for their entire lives. They are created by the Guardian of the Dyrad Forest, Lady Juniper. They live in the forest their entire lives, never leaving, believing that if they leave, they will die. Lady Juniper's magic only keeps them from aging, so if they leave the forest, they won't die, but they will age and eventually die of old age.

Dyrad:

The Dyrads are a peaceful race of plant people who live in Dyrad Forest with the Children of the Forest. They aren't bound to the forest by Lady Juniper's magic, and therefore they can leave the forest. They don't need to eat, they survive off of water and sunlight. They also have the ability to regenerate from any injury, so long as a single splinter of their body is in tact. They take the appearance of a human made out of bark with hair made out of leaves.

Girtablilu:

Desert dwellers who have the upper body of a beautiful woman and the lower body of a scorpion. The species is entirely female, and in order to reproduce, they kidnap human men who wander into their territory and sting them with their stinger, making the man want to go with them. Men who have an immunity to the poison because of potions, or who carries antidotes to the poison, are let go because they produce venom at a speed that allows them to sting a man once every twenty four hours. They also have a fatal poison that they use to hunt. Those who leave the desert seen as traitors to their kind for wanting to do business with humans.

Arachne:

A species similar to the Girtablilu, they're a species of half human, half spider creatures. Unlike the Girtablilu, they can be male. They are especially known for their silk, and do business with humans in the business in the clothing department. Clothing made from their silk is both comfortable and incredibly strong, nearly as strong as diamond. The spider section can take the form of any species of spider, and is not carried by genetics.

Minotaur/Holstaur

A minotaur refers to a half bull half man creature, while a holstaur refers to a half cow half woman creature. Both creatures, while nearly colorblind, have a strange reaction to the color red. When a minotaur sees anything red, whether it's living or not, he stomps his foot and if the red creature he sees doesn't run or is not sapient, he will charge at it. Holstaurs on the other hand are more docile when it comes to the color red, but they still dislike the color.


Alraune:

Alraune are a cousin to the Dryads who also live in Dryad Forest. They look like a giant flow, but they open up to reveal a green plant like humanoid. They move by controlling their roots as legs. They produce a sweet nectar that can be harvested and turned into delicious honey. Like their cousins, they survive on water and sunlight and can regenerate.

Creatures:

Timber Wolf:

A timber wolf is a large wolf made of plants. Like Dryads, they survive off water and sunlight. Certain timber wolves grow vegetables on their back and are raised for those vegetables. In the wild they're normally found guarding the outskirts of Dryad Forest.

Sleep Sheep:

The sleep sheep is a special sheep whose wool is embedded with dream energy. Because of this, most of the day they sleep, only waking up to eat. Farmers who raise sleep sheep sheer their wool and sell it to weavers, who make pajamas out of it. Pajamas made of sleep sheep wool are soft and comfortable. The dream energy inside the wool make for a very peaceful sleep, with no nightmares.

Chocobo:

Chocobos are a species of large yellow birds with strong legs. They are very docile and friendly towards people. For this reason, they are favored over horses as work animals and means of transportation, since horses are often stubborn and aggressive. While the most common color is yellow, there are other rarer color variations. Red, blue, and yellow Chocobo feathers are popular in staffs since they amplify certain magic spells.

Loftwing:

A cousin to the Chocobo, the Loftwing is a flying bird, unlike its grounded cousin. A Loftwing is large enough for a person to ride it in the air. Loftwings are very gentle like their cousin, and can be tamed. They are used by people who need to get somewhere too far away for a Chocobo to run, unless they happen to have an airship, which are mostly reserved for military forces.

Talmain:

A Talmain is a giant lizard with the build of a tiger. They have a violent temperament and deadly poison. They camouflage themselves in the sand and wait for prey to come close enough to jump out at them. Their poison is strong enough to kill in a matter of minutes, and is commonly used in daggers, arrows, and medicine.

Weapons

Weapons:

Claw gauntlet:

A glove with sharp metal claws that increase damage done by physical attacks. They can just as deadly as a large sword, but allow much more speed and precision. They are also used for climbing walls.

Blood Swords:

Blood Swords are swords infused with dark energy that allows them to drain health from opponents and use it to heal the wielder.

War fan:

War fans are used by wielders that are usually masters of their usual blading. Several small blades on the ends of the fan's fingers that are sharp and very deadly.

Kunai/ Shurkien:

Small, but well hidden projectile weapons, the user must be quick to throw these small weapons to deliver quick damage.

Katana:

Katana are thin bladed swords that are relatively quick when the wielder has the proper knowledge to use it. The blade's edge is sharp enough to cut through flesh, muscle and bone.


Kyodai:

The Kyodai is an enormous boomerang, similar to two Great Swords welded together to make a giant V. The Kyodai responds to it's user's will, and therefore it can hit moving targets as long as the wielder focuses hard enough.

Greatswords:

Large and broad bladed, these weapons are used by warriors with enough muscles to swing them with broad sweeping motions. They can be crafted with elemental effects that deliver damage to the target over the course of the battle. They are the second slowest weapon in the Might Class.

Hammers:

Enormous weapons with massive plumbs, warriors have massive amounts of muscles to swing the most powerful of the Might class. But warriors have to time their swings to hit quick enemies, due to the fact that these are the slowest weapon of all.

Longswords:

Regular bladed swords, these are the most common used weapons among the Might class. Quicker than the Greatsword and Hammer, warriors can still devastate their foes with the quick slashes of this smaller sword.

Daggers:

Two small and piercing blades, these are the smallest, but do not doubt their deadliness. Used by assassins and thieves, these blades are used to perform execution attacks. They can cause bleeding damage and killing off the foe by making them bleed out. They also contain a small slot that poison is slipped into it, infusing the blades with the poison.

Faeblades:

Four blades crafted into two, these blades use a lot of movement to deal the most damage to foes. Crafted by the Fae, they have mastered their abilities. These weapons are used by assassins and can perform execution attacks.

Longbows:

Fast speed weapons, they use arrows generated by it's user. They can deliver many wounds from a ranged distances or even up close damage.

Staffs:

Weapons used by mages, they can be made out of many types of wood and are powered by mana. They are slow moving but deliver elemental damage to foes.

Secpters:

Small wooden weapons, they take mana from the user to shoot element blast from it, this weapon is the Mage's ranged weapon.

Chakrums:

Disk like weapons that have elemental centers that spread to the blades as they are thrown. They always return to their user, no matter what.

Nunchucks:

Two pieces of large metal fused together by a line of short chain. They are swung around by the user and can be very painful when struck with the ends.

Items:

Adamantite:

A magical material that is the strongest in the world. It is ten times harder than diamond and can deflect magical attacks. It is said that a blade made of this legendary material could possibly be the only thing capable of killing Chaos.

Dryad Wood:

Since Dryads are literally made of wood, and they can regenerate, sometimes they will offer pieces of themselves to merchants to make money. The wood is incredibly strong and is used to make houses, as well as wooden staffs that channel the energy of nature because of the origin of the wood. Staffs made of Dryad wood are favored over any other staffs by mages.

Timber Wolf Produce:

Fruits and vegetables harvested from tamed Timber Wolves carry a lot more nutrition that regular ones. There are all kinds of different fruits and vegetables that can be harvested from Timber Wolves, such as carrots, onions, apples, and peaches. Timber Wolf Produce is a delicacy as far as most people are concerned. The only produce they can't grow are Intoxication Fruit, Couple's Fruit, and Prisoner Fruit.

Sleep Sheep Wool:

Sleep sheep wool is known for its magical properties regarding sleep. It's a popular material for pajamas, since unlike regular wool, it is not itchy and doesn't shrink when it gets wet. Pajamas made of sleep sheep wool are guaranteed to give you a good night's sleep.

Holstaur Milk:

Milk harvested from a Holstaur is not only delicious, but nutritious. People of all ages love its flavor and the silky smooth feeling it gives as it goes down your throat. The milk makes for stronger bones, and is used in cooking of all kinds. Ice cream made from Holstaur milk is considered the most delectable treat in the land.

Chocobo Eggs:

Chocobo eggs are about the size of a cannonball and are extremely nutritious. Chocobo farmers make most of their money from selling the eggs at market. The eggs are pure black with tiny white speckles, similar to a starlit night. The egg is so big that it's only possible to cook one at a time.

Chocobo Feathers:

Chocobo feathers have magical properties and are used in staffs and headdresses. In staffs, they amplify magical attacks, while in headdresses they create a magical protective aura around the wearer.

Couple's Fruit:

A type of fruit that always ripens as a pair, consisting of a small blue fruit and a large red fruit. The trees themselves are rare plants that have genders, the male tree and female tree will always sprout at the same time from side-by-side locations and extend upwards, intertwining with each other. When the tips of their branches intertwine, skipping the flowering stage, blue fruits from the male tree and red fruits from the female tree ripen as a pair. What's even rarer for this plant, is that the seeds still haven't been produced at the fruit bearing stage, perhaps because the flowering stage has been skipped. The two ripened fruits that are side-by-side, will cling closely together just as the two trees became intertwined and grew together. Eventually the red fruit will engulf the blue fruit, as if swallowing it. The blue fruit will sink into the red fruit as if drowning and then they become one. After that, the two fruits ultimately completely become one, blue flesh covered by red flesh to make one fruit. People who can't afford and engagement ring use this fruit as a form of proposal.

Wrapping Vegetable:

A vegetable with numerous overlapping flower petal-like leaves wrapping a spherical central core. There is a propensity for demonic energy to accumulate in the middle part. The central core will take on a red glow due to concentrated demonic energy. The juicy, and somewhat thick leaves are crisp tasting, and it's delicious to eat even raw as salad. Aside from that, cooking it will increase the sweetness and tastiness, so stir-fry is also recommended. Additionally, the core is moist and squishy, unlike the crisp leaves. It feels chewy like a gummy when eaten, with all the taste and sweetness of the vegetable concentrated inside, so one can enjoy an extremely thick taste that is closer to that of fruit or candy than a vegetable.

Melting Vegetable:

Vegetables that only grow inside the waters of lakes and ponds, etc. The part corresponding to the fruit grows inside the water, and only the leaves and stem are visible from the water's surface. They're not floating weeds, yet they don't have roots in the ground. Instead, they're mysterious vegetables that grow using water as a substitute for soil, as if buried in water. One can pull them up from inside the water with the same feeling that one gets when pulling a vegetable up from the ground. The fruit, stem and leaves of this vegetable are all comprised of a half-transparent, semi-liquid substance that's almost like solidified water given form. It seems that it actually is liquid maintaining its shape through demonic energy after all. When you extract the green-colored leaf part and stem part, the fruit is unable to maintain its shape, and it crumbles, changing into liquid. This vegetable is extremely peculiar, and the taste has the property of changing like flowing water depending on what ingredients it's eaten with. Every part of it is said to be the perfect accompaniment to various ingredients. The leaf part is the perfect accompaniment for the meat of demon realm beasts, fish, etc., and when eaten together, the flavor of the juicy meat increases, and the rich taste is accentuated. If eaten by itself after the mouth has become greasy from meat, it can refresh the inside of the mouth. The semi-transparent water-colored stem is almost like a fruit, and if eaten together with other fruits or used as an ingredient in confectionery, it accentuates the sweetness to a moderate degree. The fruit part that crumbles into liquid makes a savory sauce if put on meat. If put on vegetables, it's the perfect dressing for invigorating the taste of the raw ingredients. If put on fruit, it changes form into sweet syrup. In this way, it's an extremely convenient vegetable, but since the flavor changes right away when it is eaten with something else, it's extremely difficult to cook using the taste of the melting vegetable itself in a way that won't interfere with the other ingredients. If one could accomplish this, it would leave no doubt as to one's status as a first-rate culinary master.

Intoxication Fruit:

Intoxication Fruit is a fruit that looks similar to a bunch of grapes. However, the pieces of fruit are filled with a delicious alcoholic juice. The sap from the tree ferments and the seeps into the fruit. The pieces of fruit at the bottom have more concentrated alcohol and therefor are more likely to get you drunk.

Prisoner Fruit:

Prisoner Fruit is a vivid pink heart shaped fruit with a very juicy and delicious flesh. When consumed, the consumer is instantly addicted to it. This is part of why they call it Prisoner Fruit, you've become a prisoner to the fruit's flavor. A common use of it is for romantic attraction. Giving a Prisoner Fruit to a crush will make them fall in love with you, well, sort of. They are not truly in love with you, but they show affection as a way of getting more fruit from you. There is an antidote to cure the addiction but it requires Talmain venom.

Alraune Nectar:

It's the bodily fluid of the “Alraune” that has the form of a beautiful woman wrapped up in a giant flower. It's a beautiful amber colored, half-translucent liquid that's very sticky and syrupy. It's natural sweetness is attractive, and it's often used in sweets, etc.

Arachne Silk:

Spider silk produced in the bodies of Arachne, and clothing made using it. They're experts at sewing, and using their fine and durable spider silk they can make fine and beautiful clothing. Even among humans it fetches high prices as top quality clothing.

Might, Finesse, Sorcery Classes:


Might:

Paladin:

A Paladin is a knight who has mastered the art of White magic, the magic of healing and defense. While they can use magic, they prefer to use their holy blades to smite evil wherever they go. Legend says that a Paladin clad in Adamantite armor will come with when The Great Darkening arrives.

Monk:

A Monk is a bare fisted martial arts fighter. They rarely use weapons, but if they do, they use claw gauntlets or nunchucks. They have the ability to deliver a counterattack when they are attacked, as well as their regular attack.

Dark Knight:

Dark Knights are masters of Black magic, the magic of attacking. A Dark Knight normally carries a Blood Sword, since they have an ability called Darkness, which allows them to increase their attack power with the cost of some health. By combining a Blood Sword with the Darkness ability, Dark Knights an increase their attack power and regain any lost health with their Blood Sword.

Dragon Knight:

A Dragon Knight is a warrior who comes from a bloodline of humans who had an unusually strong bond with the Dragons. They fight with spears and can jump incredibly high to come crashing down at their opponent. There are eight types of Dragon Knights, for each dragon classification, Fire, Water, Lightning, Ice, Air, Poison, Holy, and Earth. Each Dragon Knight has a dragon companion they are destined to meet.

Samurai:

A Samurai is a warrior who wears armor and uses a katana as their weapon. They are fast and can deal devastating blows to their enemies with their katana. Some samurai use a Kyodai or a Longbow for ranged combat, until they can get close enough to strike with their katana.

Sorcery:

Mage:

A Mage is an apprentice to either a Priest, Necromancer, or Sage. An apprentice of a Priest practices white magic, an apprentice of a Necromancer practices black magic, and an apprentice of a Sage practices both.

Priest:

A Priest is a person who has mastered white magic. Their only offensive spells are only effective on the Undead, but their healing magic is incredibly powerful, it can even restore the dead as long as their body hasn't decomposed.

Necromancer:

A Necromancer is a master of black magic. They can use their magic to deal devastating damage to their foes. Like the Priest, they can revive the dead, but as undead puppets. The undead puppets are weak only to a Priest's light spell and fire

Sage:

A Sage has mastered both white and black magic. Becoming a Sage is hard to do, since the stress of using both white and black magic can be too much for a person's mind to handle.

Evoker:

An Evoker can summon creatures to aid them in battle. The more powerful the creature they summon, the more mana is used.

Finesse:

Thief:

Thieves are fast and elusive people who carry two poison imbedded daggers. They use their speed to hit hard and dodge quickly. They have the ability to pick locked doors in order to gain access to new areas.

Ninja:

Ninjas are masters of stealth and deception. They use a katana, war fans, and kunai or shurikens to damage their opponents. They have the ability to disappear into a cloud of smoke and deal a surprise attack on their opponent.

Archer:

An archer uses a longbow with different types of arrows. They are masters of long range combat, but just in case they have to resort to close range, they always carry a dagger.

Personality: Caelan may seem mean, but he's actually a nice guy. He didn't want to become a Dark Knight, but he did it to please his adopted father, the King of Baron. Despite rumors of him being insane, he is quite the opposite, he has never shown any signs of insanity.
History: Caelan was found as a baby boy outside Baron Castle. The King and Queen decided to raise him as their own son. As he grew up, he not only became a Dark Knight, but the captain of the Red Wings, Baron's Airship Fleet.
