xxand most populated city in the united states of america. with it's fast-p
xxaced surroundings and vibrant inhabitants, it's a very interactive and ge
xxnuinely interesting place to reside. unfortunately, though, there are ma
xxny dogs and cats that have no place to stay, and are threatened by peop
xxle every day. some prefer to join forces and fight the busy streets togeth
xxer, or stick to themselves, surviving by shying away from all other life. ei
xxther way, it's a living, and to survive out here, you've gotta be street-smart.

such a cute name - kind of like the name a child might give to their dog - but every dog and every cat that roams new york city knows this name. he's reckless, fearless, and cocky.

the name buddy was given to this shepherd when he was adopted by a 5 year old girl. at the time, he was just a puppy, and didn't know how humans worked. the family brought him home and loved him for a few weeks, until a new face came into the picture: a kitten. buddy was left alone as the kid played with the new cat, giving it a name buddy can't remember and teaching it tricks. even as a puppy, buddy was bigger than the cat, and he attempted to play with it. he didn't mean to kill it - well, maybe he did - but it resulted in the family throwing him out onto the streets at just the age of 5 months. since then, he despises even making eye contact with humans, saying that the only things they're able to love are themselves.

buddy might be seen as a vicious dog, but he really isn't. he's the friendly type towards other dogs - sometimes cats - and isn't the type to start a fight. when he is mad, though, he can be rude and impatient, growling at even the most peaceful pooch as he takes his anger out on anyone near him.

he started the rogue band of strays, the forgotten, when he came across a group of dogs that had escaped the pound. at only one year old, buddy found their life stories fascinating, and promised to keep their histories alive by living like them. he came to know every thing of new york, from the individual sewer rat, to the best trees to pee on.

buddy currently has no love interest, though he has had a few in the past. he can make friends with anyone, but only considers some of them his allies, or best friends.

samson was born into a litter of strays, but was taken into a shelter so soon that he doesn't even remember anything about living on the streets. his mother, brothers and sisters: all forgotten; he believes that he came from the sky and fell into an old woman's arms at birth.

all he does know now is that his owner, an elderly woman, absolutely adores and spoils him, and he is the least bit worried on how to show his gratefulness. don't get him wrong, though; he does show his affection by giving her his undying love and attention.

some would call him posh, others might call him bourgeois. in his spare time, samson sits on his special pillow on the couch in the living room and licks himself clean at least four times a day. he is fed once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once in the evening. he is never lonely, and hates the outdoors, especially the animals that come with it; he believes they are all dirty monsters that do nothing but poop in the woods and eat trash, but where's the lie?

samson only gets along with clean pets, and prefers for them to visit him, and not the other way around; he likes his territory and never leaves it unattended.

samson can be friendly towards humans, but picky to what kind of animals he's friends with. dogs can be okay, but he prefers cats that do nothing but clean themselves, just like himself. he is very cocky and self-centered, believing that he is the most beautiful cat in the world, but that is because that's what he grew up listening to; his owner non-stop talking about his gorgeous eyes, or how well he is at playing.

Danger was born as a purebred, once he was old enough to not nurse from his mother, he was then sold to a fight house owner. Growing up to be a fighter, the Doberman soon grew his aggressive ways and became a cold merciless fighter, that he is today. He was most appreciated by his owner and was adored by the man, due to him being one of the best fighters as of now. Though he would fail at a few fights, he would bring his masters hopes back up after another fight. It all tumbled down when the ring leader was arrested after being caught... soon Animal Control arrived. Luckily, for the swift male, Danger was able to escape the man's grasp and now lives on his own, unable to rely on anyone but himself.

Tannah was born into an extremely wealthy family. For eleven months she lived in complete happiness and care. Her brothers and sisters all looked after one another and all was at peace. Then when she turned 12 months old she got sent it to an abusive owner. She always wondered what she did wrong. She was starved, beat, and tortured both mentally and physically. After 2years of that, she escaped. The "owner" left the door open when he was taking out the trash. She made a dash for it. His slobby self was no match for her. Even though she was incredibly weak. For weeks she ate everything she could find. And once she got her strength back she became quite good at catching pigeons and doves. She trained herself to be as fast as possible, normally wearing herself out. But it payed off, since the dog catcher was always after her. One day he chased her straight into this strange campsite with busses. She soon figured out that other strays lived there. She's seen strays before, but none in such a big group as this! Since then she has been living with them. (Sorry if that was bad I've always been bad at explaining o.o)
