Daisy is 28 moons old and a loner. She is a pretty little she-cat with a
mostly chocolate brown pelt. Her fur gets darker on her 'points'; inclu-
ding her lower legs, tail, and face which has two bright, pale green o-
rbs set in it. In contrast to her mostly dark pelt are her white markings.
Daisy has white paws, partial white socks on her hind legs, a white ch-
est, throat, and chin, and a small white snippet on her nose. Although
she is rather cute, Daisy has never considered herself pretty or striking
in anyway. She believes herself to be rather ordinary and uninteresting.
Daisy comes from a complicated past. She was born in a litter of three
to a StreamClan warrior named Riverfang, and a breathtakingly beaut-
loner named Petal. Her siblings consisted of a brother named Bat, and
a sister named Paleflower. Paleflower was taken to be with their fath-
er when the kits were 6 moons old. While Paleflower was being raised
in a Clan setting, Daisy and Bat stayed with their mother and learned-
how to live the life of a loner. Daisy only met her sister once after she
joined StreamClan, and she had never been able to get a good read on
her littermate. It was after that meeting when the territory flooded a-
nd StreamClan was forced to leave it's territory. Riverfang stayed beh-
ind with his family, but Paleflower picked her clan over her blood. Af-
ter StreamClan was gone, the little family of loners; bat, daisy, petal,
and now Riverfang, tried to remain where they always had and hoped
that the flooding would stop. But it didn't. The flooding continued and
only grew worse. Eventually, Daisy's family was forced to abandon ship
as well. In order to leave the territory, though, there was a stream th-
at you had to cross to get to higher ground. The stream was typically low with a sluggish current but due to the constant rains, the stream had turned into a river and it was raging and frothing. The current moved as if it had fingers and was trying to reach out and grab anything near the bank. Due to the size of the body of water, the cats could not swim across and there was only one other way to get to the other side. There was a large tree that had fallen moons ago, and served as a bridge to get to and from either bank of the river. Riverfang was the first to cross the fallen tree, the water had made the bark slippery and with every wave of rain the water lapped higher and higher at the sides of the trunk. Behind Riverfang came Daisy, followed by her mother, Petal, and lastly, Bat. Riverfang and Daisy made it safely across, and waited worriedly for Petal and Bat. It was then that lightning and thunder shook the sky. The bolt of lightning had hit a nearby tree and suddenly the creaks and groans of a falling tree overpowered the thundering sky. Petal saw the tree falling towards the water, and yelled to Bat before bounding to the other side of the river. Bat, however, remained frozen in place, his claws digging desperately into the bark beneath his paws. The tree seemed to fall for an eternity, but it really only took a few seconds for the large mass to slam into the surface of the river, sending practically a tidal wave towards the makeshift bridge that Bat clung to and Petal was trying to escape. Once Petal realized that Bat was not following her, she turned to go back for him but Riverfang reached up and pulled her back onto the bank, as he knew that nothing could save the black tom now. The three watched as the wave washed Bat away. Petal howled in grief, but Riverfang remained strong and pushed his mate and daughter up to their paws and urged them to keep running. It took days of nonstop travel for the family - now a trio - to escape the practically underwater territory that they had once called home. Now on higher ground and safe for the moment, they could grieve without worry. The storm and the rains passed not long after that and the family moved on again, never staying in one place for long. Moons passed and finally it seemed like they had found a place to call their own. Now 20 moons old, life has seemed to become normal once again for the young molly. However, during leafbare that year, Petal came down with a serious case of greencough. She was horribly sick and couldn't keep any food down and gradually she just got weaker and weaker until she succumbed to the sickness and slipped away. Riverfang was absolutely distraught at the loss of his mate, but he tried to remain strong for his remaining kit. Now that the family was down to only two, Riverfang regretted letting his other daughter, Paleflower, leave. He missed his daughter terribly and didn't want Daisy to be all alone once he himself was gone. And so, the aging tom came to a decision. He decided that he and Daisy would go after and try to find StreamClan. Daisy was immediately against the idea. She held a small grudge against her sister for abandoning her parents and siblings, and besides, Daisy didn't want to join some stuffy clan. But, the chocolate molly went along with her father's plan. She couldn't break the old tom's heart and secretly she didn't want to be alone. And so, the two carried on their way, spending several moons tracking StreamClan. It took them a while to get close to the Clan's new territory. But, once they had pinpointed that the group of cats had moved into a large, beautiful coniferous valley, Daisy's doubts cropped up again. Just as the two cats were about to enter the valley and seek out Paleflower and her clan, Daisy stopped dead. Riverfang asked her what was wrong and tried to urge her to come with him, but Daisy's stubborn and doubting nature only caused the two to get into a rather loud and heated discussion. Before the new it, the father and daughter were practically yelling at each other. The only thing that this argument accomplished was that it seemed to attract the attention of a lurking predator nearby. A fox. The lanky orange creature watched the two felines before slinking out of the bushes and running at them. Daisy and Riverfang instantly dropped their argument when they noticed the predator coming at them, and they sprinted away from it. The fox was bigger and faster though, and the two cats couldn't seem to keep ahead of it for very long. The interaction was quick, ending in the fox lunging forward and latching onto Riverfang's leg. Daisy, now terrified, yowled and ran at the fox, trying to get it to let go of her father. The fox simply readjusted its grip, though, and swatted at Daisy, sending her careening in the other direction. When she fell, Daisy hit her head on a nearby rock and it knocked her out cold. When she awoke, the fox was gone and so was Riverfang. The only thing left of her aging father was a bit of fur and a small pool of blood that was mixing with the dirt. Daisy instantly lost it. She was crying, and inconsolable. This lasted for a good hour or so before the tears stopped flowing and the young she-cat simply became numb. She tried to convince herself that perhaps Riverfang had managed to get away but she knew that that wasn't the truth. Daisy remained in the area for days, still holding on to the false hope that her father wasn't killed and that he could return. But after the fourth day, she knew that she had to move on. She started off in the direction that she had come from, back to the unclaimed wilderness, but something in the pit of her stomach made her stop in her tracks. Daisy had always been afraid of losing her father. But it was an unavoidable fact of life. Now, she was realizing that it wasn't the loss of her father that had plagued her nightmares these past few moons, but that it was the thought of being alone. Daisy warred with herself for a while. She wanted nothing to do with the Clans or even her remaining sister, but she knew that she couldn't face her fear of being all alone. And so, still in a place of conflict, the chocolate molly turned and made her way into the valley to see what awaited her.
