* i'll try to be brief about this as much as i can because it's 3am for me
and this could easily turn into a 10 paragraph post that no one will read. :I *

recently i've had a faint idea for a roleplay project. i'm calling it a project because it'll be much more complex than an average rp if the idea comes to life. i'll need someone to help me flesh it out, refine it and co-own it with me, maybe even two people. if not, i think i'd still be able to run it by myself, but i'd need to know people are interested, feedback and ideas would be greatly, greatly appreciated and welcome.

☯the idea is, chapters. let me explain myself- rp would start with one thread, one plot where it all begins. climax, resolve, but oh, chapter ends in a cliffhanger. chapter/thread ends. (i'd ask a mod to lock it so no one unnecessarily brings it back to life.)
new thread opens where the remaining characters (and some new faces show up?) deal with the problem that was the cliffhanger > climax, resolve... you get the picture.
☯i think this would be a really new, fresh take on roleplays, at least cs-wise. and it'd be so much exciting and cool. just think about that character development and depth.
☯it's a big idea, there will be some problems to overcome, but i think it's worth to try at least. it'd be possible with enough truly dedicated people. and plots would be made that way so it's easy for someone to back out if they can't/don't want to rp anymore, and for new faces to join in at the start of a new chapter.
☯i already have about 2-3 possible chapters/plots, but yeah, i'd like to know what you all think of the concept first, since in my experience original roleplays and plots don't do as well as something fandom based or a generic plot ( werewolves/vampires, highschool romance, scientists vs. their projects etc., looking at you. :I ), and i'm pretty flexible as far as plots go.

please leave a comment telling me what you think, i'd really like to bring this to life ^^

thank you all for your input ^^ i've just made the roleplay thread, it's heavy wip though.

the way i was thinking, the first plot starts with a group of kids from a small town being bored and creating a competitive game to play with lots of challenges. things get more complicated towards the end, lots of drama ensues, and at the end there's only one challenge left, which leads to the introduction of paranormal/supernatural things - which is the second chapter. there was also an idea that for the third chapter/plot they lose their supernatural abilites. but there might be no supernatural aspect at all, depends on the people who join i guess, since i'm quite flexible when it comes to plots, this was just my brains train of thought c":

all ideas are welcome! c: i'm a firm believer that a roleplay belongs to all of it's members and everyone should get together to create the story, not just roleplay their character around what the "owner" typed out.

i was thinking rounds of challanges, some more dangerous than others. like sneaking into a nightclub, climbing a telephone tower, racing (by foot or skateboards or cars even idk), video game competition, anything. there'd be 3-4 judges that'd oversee everything and text the next challenge time and place. or maybe there'd be an app where you need to upload photo/video proof and gain points. idek. :I

Okay, so here me out.
It works kind of like mafia. There are several teams (depending on how many people we were thinking of having) with one 'Don' per team. Then they're given like nerf guns or something (maybe water guns and water balloons since it's summer) and it turns into a game of high risk tag where each player is worth points. If you tag them, you get so many points, etc. However, in order to get more points, you have to do certain challenges to pick up 'Drops' (which could be like playing cards or poker chips or something of that nature) that are also worth a certain number of points. These drops could be at those crazy places you ere talking about, like on top of a telephone tower or in a nightclub or even at the bottom of a pool or something. And while everyone's going after the drops, the tag thing is still on, which kinda turns it into a non-lethal Hunger Games situation.

I was thinking of the team element so that we could have double agents and team betrayals and alliances and whatnot, but this idea might be kinda weird and complicated and stuff.
