first pair | kuromi tatsurou, aged 22
kuromi tatsurou has brown, silky, long hair. he wears a light purple kimono and a light blue coat over it. his eyes are slightly larger than normal men and they are brown-colored like his hair. tatsurou's skin is pale and he is very skinny, even his ribs show.

ever since he was young, tatsurou was diagnosed of a rare sickness that was hard to heal. it ran in the family blood and it killed his older brother who died when tatsurou was 5 and his mother who died when tatsurou was 14. he was that one kid everyone avoided in school, so he dropped out early. however, despite his limited knowledge, he is quite talkable and a bit childish. tatsurou is a kind person who has a warm smile and loves to help others. he rarely gets angry, but when he does, he starts with a warning before showing his demon side.

tatsurou is a little stronger compared to when he was a child. he'd cough out blood at times and won't be able to walk for a long period of time or stand up after sitting down without help. he keeps a medicine when his coughing gets too hard.

tatsurou lived in poverty. having a father who became an alcoholic ever since his mother's death, he was fired from his job and they were forced to live in a much poorer home. tatsurou couldn't work part-time jobs because of his weak and fragile body, so he had to -depend on his father who often pick-pocketed because nobody would hire him. when tatsurou was 20, he collapsed in front of a house, and the girl who lived there alone fed him and kept him in her house for a little bit. she told him he could come back any time, and so he did. along the way, he fell in love with her fair and beautiful skin. a month after they met, he decided to confess his feelings but it was then he found out she had a fiance. after that he stopped visiting her. two years later, tatsurou couldn't get her out of his mind, but knowing it would be impossible to have her, he looked at a shooting star and wished internally, and then collapsed.

akihiko shibata, the son of a wealthy businessman with power over conglomerate businesses. aki was raised to be the
family heir from day one, following his father's footsteps. he never knew his mother since she was a mere mistress of
his father. his stepmother was naturally not a fan of him and showed signs of even despising him since her children did
not have his father's approval to be the family heir. though his father seemed to love him more or less, akihiko grew up
to feel indifferent about him, finding that his future was restricted too much. even his bride was to be decided by his
father. after a business meeting in his father's stead, aki saw a shooting star from his hotel room's window. not thinking
much of it, he wished for freedom to choose his own path before falling unconscious. what a surprise for this cold gent.

backstory; kasumi and her older brother toshiaki practically raised themselves since after their
parents' deaths which happened early in their lives, they were sent to live with their aunt, their
last relative and a hopeless drunk. though both she and toshiaki displayed great intelligence, a
higher education was out of their reaches, and so, kasumi's wish upon the star was for a second
chance at life. personality; kasumi is, by nature, a calculating person. she tends to look too
deeply into everything. stubborn and often set in her ways, she can be difficult to reason with
since she trusts her own instinct before others, which, knowing her pugnacious self, may not be
the best option. she is under the impression that the world is out to get her, and so, anything that
would seem good should not be hung onto unless she wants to lose it. she bottles up most of her
feelings as well as taking on others' burdens. due to her living situation, kasumi worked multiple
part-time jobs at once to at least see if she could support toshiaki's dreams of attending college,
and thus, developed a strong work ethic and ambitious nature. on the flip side of things, kasumi
is fairly gentle at heart, and despite her tough exterior, she shows her affection and care through
her actions instead of her words. she is weak to cutesy relationship stuff but refuses to admit it.

trivia;;
-- kaito wasn't even serious when he wished on the star, he was just going through a rough break
up and it was mostly out of sarcastic spite. he never imagined anything would come of it.
-- kaito's had several relationships end in disaster, most of which turned out to be his partner
cheating on him. as such he's developed a deflective, harsh personality and does his best to push
people away before they can get close and he basically comes across as some pissed off fourteen
year old with a grudge against the world. he's a real sweetheart if you can break through to him.
-- he is something of a hopeless romantic and given to cheesy, cliche romantic gestures like buying
flowers or buying his partner something he knows -or at least hopes- they'll like or giving them his
sweater if it's cold outside. he also enjoys things like star gazing and receiving random surprises.
-- in his past relationships he's had a habit of giving far, far more than he's ever received and more
often than not this led to him being taken advantage of. despite this he's still very giving.
-- he loves cuddling and has a bad tendency to fall asleep quite easily when cuddling.
