aftermath of hogwarts forms/discussion

the battle of hogwarts, may 2nd, 1998. the battle started between voldemort and his followers, and ended with the hogwarts school of wizardry and witchcraft being victorious. they were victorious in beating their long time enemy, but they were not victorious in the subject of life and death. over half of their staff, teachers and students combined were killed in the battle. the names of all that were lost in the battle were recorded and there will soon be a tradition of remembering the fallen.

but where we start now is somewhere different. we start right after the battle has finished. families are re-uniting in the many corridors across campus. they are all frantic to find out and make sure everyone they love is fine. unfortunately, not all are fine. after the battle they must rebuild the school in total and fix what was once there, and perhaps start anew.

personality; miles was always a quiet yet intelligent boy. he was the exact opposite of his brother, ross. while ross was outgoing and willing to take risks, miles stood back and thought of ways to avoid conflict. he always looked up to his brother, and wanted to follow his example, but he ended up in ravenclaw. though, he wasn't upset. in ravenclaw he was able to show his knowledge of the multiple subjects and even share it with others like him. he's attentive, caring and light-spoken.

history; he had a pretty normal life, and was happy he got sorted into ravenclaw, but upset he was not in the same as his brother, ross, who was in gryffindor. his patronus was a ferret, the same as his brother, due to his love for ross. unfortunately, in the great battle, his brother lost his life. miles took his familiar as his own.

astrid duvall is the daughter of nova duvall, a
loyal death eater and pure blood supremacist, and
anthony sylver, a daily prophet reporter. however,
anthony never agreed with nova's involvement with
death eaters and left her when he discovered both
of his children had been branded with dark marks.
during the battle of hogwarts, nova&anthony came
face to face and nova killed him without remorse.
despite her mother (and brother), astrid is a sweet
and gentle young woman who has just fallen victim
to circumstances. she is dependant on her brother
and let's him control her most of the time- he's torn
her away from friends and romance many times.
a dreamer, astrid is very adventurous and curious,
and just needs some loyal friends to lean on to give
her the strength to part with her family and begin
the sort of life she'd like; this little softie just isn't
made to sport a dark mark and would give anything
to get away from it all. she enjoys singing and writing,
and would perhaps like to work for the daily prophet
as her father did when the time comes or the opportunity
arises. she can be cold and sarcastic, but also
loving, witty, and excitable.

penelope was two years old when her mother left the house. her father was brokenhearted but kept going on, sure that she would come back eventually. but she never did. alec von brandt raised his daughter on his own for four years, barely holding on between two shifts and the girl. all the hard work paid off and he got a raise and chance at love with some rich woman. the three moved to the family manor together, but the woman never liked penelope very much; a reminder that there had been another lady. penny's eleventh birthday didn't help, when a strange man appeared at their doorstep and said that their daughter was a witch, destined to attend the hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry and claimed to know penny's mother and that she had been an amazing witch. the girl went with the man and returned home every holiday. penelope knew that she was special on her seventh birthday. she was given a well known children's book called mathilda, the girl was fascinated with mathilda's powers and after finishing the book, she tried. it floated to the bookshelf. her father never believed her.

even if she is half blood she feels muggle born. when she first arrived to hogwarts she doubted herself, and thought it was wrong of the sorting hat to put her in ravenclaw. soon enough it became clear that it hadn't made a mistake. penny became sure of herself and her magical abilities. she is more of a logical thinker and doesn't have an exceptional memory, and the written evaluations often had worse grades than the practical ones, where she had true talent. penny is friendly towards everyone and hates stereotypes. if you do something to cross her beware because penny knows about magic and has enough power to make your life living hell. she holds grudges for a very long time.

the dorados are one of the old pure blood families and just like the malfoys use constellations for the names. corvus is one example. he is the oldest brother to the triplets elara, faye and cordelia who are all fourteen years old and in their fifth year of hogwarts, two of the girls in hufflepuff and one slytherin. the parents of the four are succesful politicians in the ministery of magic and have never been very involved with either dumbledore or voldemort or any problems. when voldemort managed to threatened the wizardry school, the dorados took the three girls back home, but cory insisted to stay and help with the battle, which created this huge fight with his parents.

corvus dorado prefers being called cory but won't do anything if is addressed by his full name. he is a six foot two seventeen year old awkward lad who most of the time will offer a polite smile before scurrying back to his friends or common room. he adores eating too so he would never in the world skip a meal, and for some reason even though he never stops eating he is quite thin at hundred and seventy eight lbs. cory never liked getting very involved in the drama that the other houses have for obvious reasons and most of the time stays to himself. cory is also pansexual, which means that he would date any gender including non binary ones, and doesn't lean into any direction but will refer to himself as "gay  ". this lad will be hesitant about doing certain things and often is pressured by his friends, but if they or any member of his family are in danger he will not doubt and just do whatever it takes to save them. cory is very trustworthy and would never spill a secret.
