For the purpose of the main plotline, skipping more than a few days could make it more difficult to resolve, especially since it's only been partially launched so far. I believe at some point we established it was winter. If anything, we shouldn't skip past winter holidays...Cause that just gets rid of holiday shenanigans and why would we want that?
