personality;; phoenix, much like her name, is fiery and stubborn. she usually does what she wants without completely thinking about the consequences. her siblings (who had ended up in each of the houses besides gryffindor) wondered how she didn't end up in slytherin sometimes, but she's a bit of a mix with all the houses - she is cunning and mischievous like a slytherin, intelligent like a ravenclaw, but compassionate and loyal like a hufflepuff. as for how she ended up in gryffindor... well, that's where she wanted to go. she might as well have asked the sorting hat herself. she's certainly brave, and won't turn away from a fight, but she cares significantly for others even if she doesn't show it outright. in fact, phoenix generally keeps her feelings to herself. she's determined, but compassionate, and is willing to be a shoulder to cry on at the same time she's willing to beat up whoever hurt you. her mischievous nature can lead to problems, especially combined with her gryffindor-bred love of pranks and other such entertainment. she will also talk back to teachers without thinking it over, so phoenix has a tendency to be on teacher's bad sides. like her parents, phoenix has a love for magical creatures of all sorts, as well as muggle ones. she's surprisingly gentle as well as good with them, but she mostly keeps her love a secret.
history;; phoenix's parents both cared for magical creatures after graduating hogwarts. phoenix was the last of the riley children, and the only one with red hair - as a result, she earned her name. her siblings were all hogwarts attendants but her parents wondered if riley was a squib. her powers didn't show until she went off to hogwarts, actually. but she quickly adjusted to the magical world of her school. though riley never kept up well with her schoolwork, she managed to be a pretty decent student her past five years attending.

personality;; augustus is well-mannered, polite, and patient. he is eager to please and quick to trust, which can lead to problems more often than not for the young hufflepuff. he is quick to volunteer himself to help others, and has been referred to by his mother as 'very charming', but he's humble about his kindness. augustus dislikes confrontation, and will always try to do his best to hear both sides of a story - even if he prefers remaining unaffiliated. though he loves people, he enjoys his time alone, reading or doing school work. he can admittedly be a bit of an airhead, from tripping with his books to saying something without completely thinking about it. nobody really gets too annoyed with him though, it's hard to stay angry with augustus. he's quite sensitive, too, not afraid to cry and not afraid to share his feelings even if he would get taunted for it. he's not angry about people who dislike him, he's actually quite understanding and figures they have their own underlying problems for why they act such away. he certainly doesn't hold grudges, and would risk his life or take the blame for his friends in a heartbeat.
history;; augustus alexander rowe jr. was born to his mother, elizabeth rowe, a humble teacher and his father, augustus alexander rowe sr., an editor for a local newspaper. both were muggles with no sign of wizardry in the family. of course, from a young age strange things happened to augustus... he never could explain them, and his parents couldn't either. they were all too afraid to ask doctors about it. augustus and his two older sisters were the first to find the letter at their door on his eleventh birthday. he was ecstatic, and his parents were fully willing to send him to hogwarts. his life at school has been fun, so he'd call it. he has an innocent love for all things magical and still looks at them with awe, even to this day.

looks; Teddy is part-metamorphmagus, so it’s hard to tell exactly what he looks like. His hair color changes with his mood; normally it is brown. His eyes were born green with blue around the edges. His eyes, eyebrows, ears and nose he can change at will, but the will must be present in his conscious thoughts. If he forgets they revert back to his “normal” self. He has no control over the rest of his body except for his fingernails, which he can grow and shrink at will.
Teddy is of average height and build – if anything he is slightly skinny. He has a light spattering of freckles across the bridge of his nose that he cannot remove no matter how hard he tries. His eyebrows are thin and light. I can post the color chart for his hair/emotions if anyone wants to know.
history; Teddy’s parents were killed before he was old enough to talk. His lived with his grandmother, Andromeda, who had hated his father. He learned some nasty things about him and Andromeda poisoned his mind with bad thoughts about a man he never knew. When he was three years old Andromeda died of a heart attack. Teddy called Harry with the phone-number he had learned only days ago. He told Harry that Gramma wasn’t waking up and that he was scared. Harry was over right away. The funeral took place about a few weeks later and Teddy had his first experience with death and odd tape measures that fitted him for a suit. He moved in with the Potters and shared a room with James until Albus was old enough to sleep in a bed. Teddy then got a room all to himself and Albus shared with James.
His hogwarts career has been uneventful so far; teachers like him enough, he's made good friends, bits of mischief here and there.
