Demon Queen Blood Style Technique
— Soul Prison: A pentagram is formed on the ground, its size dependent on how much blood was used to create it. Anybody within the perimeter becomes trapped, user included. It also acts as a shield.
— Crimson Reaper: A blood red scythe is made from the user's blood. Its strength and durability goes up with each blow done to the wielder.
— Grand Despair, Form 1: A black hole-esque hole is opened in the ground and swallows nearby enemies. It is small in size and leaves no visible damage.
— Grand Despair, Form 2: Doorway to Hades: A much larger version of Grand Despair with a greater suction power. It is only used as a last resort, as it uses large amounts of blood and renders the caster virtually powerless and immobile. It also leaves visible damage in the world.

Alana was thirteen when the Great Collapse of New York happened. Her family, while extremely rich and powerful, couldn't do much to escape the city, but they did manage to protect her. Before her family was wiped out, she was left with an acquaintance of her father's on the edge of the state — as far from the heart as possible. She was protected as the creatures from the alterworld entered theirs and as chaos wormed its way into their every day lives. She was taught how to fight and protect herself to the best of her new guardian's abilities, but eventually, there was nothing more he could teach her; her blood technique had begun forming, but there was no way for her to hone in on her abilities. And so with the fear still in her heart, Alana left his house and went back to the heart of New York City. There, she met Libra. After a series of events where she showed off her extremely weak blood technique, she was accepted into the organization and was trained. She has been with Libra for four years now due to her desire to not only build up her parents' empire again, but to found out what happened to them and if anyone she knew was still alive.

Mai was seven when the anti-Twilight riots broke out. When the rioters started breaking into homes and killing innocents, her mother fled and deserted the young girl and her father. Her father had barricaded the house to the best of his abilities on such a short notice, being more concerned with protecting his daughter than fighting. Their house was broken into and, despite being a decently ranked Twilight, her father was killed brutally in front of her. Due to the shadows, Mai wasn't noticed right away, which gave her time to sneak out and run away (but not before grabbing her father's tags and taking them with her).
She managed to survive through the riots, only having to fight a handful of times. When Ergastulum had settled down, she was almost eleven. Her compromise — which people had originally thought was her height — had begun to manifest itself quicker and quicker; blindness. By the time she was twelve, her right eye had almost completely lost its sight. To speed up the process and to avoid distraction, she began wearing an eyepatch. After her right eye had gone fully sightless around the age of thirteen, almost fourteen, she had been taken in by the Paulklee Guild.
Due to her rank and her weakening sight in her left eye, Mai isn't given "high-end" missions from the guild. Her main job is receiving shipments of Celebrer from the Cristiano Guild as well as working obscure jobs as a guard or a mercenary for various people. Despite her loss of sight, she is still a solid B/4 rank. What she lacks in sight, she makes up for in hearing and speed. Her fighting strategy is to study the enemy as best she can and then predict their movements to the best of her abilities. It works for the most of the time, roughly 75 to 80%.

personality: in short, the kid is a menace. even disregarding the personality traits given to him because of his extremely high iq, he's cocky, snarky, condescending, and narcissistic for no other reason than he simply feels like it. he's possessive and obsessive. he rarely tries to make people like him since he much rather prefers to be alone. he's childish and really never grew up; he has a lot of childish fears and wants despite almost being a legal adult. he's clingy and has horrible abandonment issues.
past: a few months after he was born, he was left on the doorstep of an orphanage. any records regarding who he was were destroyed. during his time in the orphanage, his intellect began showing, leading many different families to take him in...only to return him a week or so later. when a family adopted him, he'd act absolutely horrible until they took him back. this went on until he was fourteen, and the chief of a police force caught wind of this genius kid in an american orphanage. and so, he was adopted again, but no matter how horrible he acted, he wasn't sent back. inevitably, he got over his issues and became the lead detective at the police station mai works at.

On the one day Itzel was able to fly in to visit was also the day the Abductors attacked. In the midst of it, Emi, Kia, and Alana were all taken and subsequently (assumed to be) dead; the same happened to Koda's mother. Itzel's power manifested in the fight; Koda and Mai already had theirs, but they had kept them hidden up until then. When the three of them were discovered, they were enrolled in Neo-Deava.
