at first, he survived for his wife
and daughter. now he survives for himself.
in this world, losing your family is normal.
but thomas still hasn't fully accepted it.
after watching them turn, never leaving
their side, he eventually had to escape
his home town. he took three things;
a gun, his daughter's backpack, and
her puppy he had promised to bring.
now he's not too sure what keeps him
going, because he's lost all that was
important. but maybe, just maybe,
the losses of his family won't be in
vain. he has to keep alive - no matter
who he has to turn on to make it
happen.

tom doesn't like to sit still, but he
doesn't like to make unnecessary
enemies. he likes groups, the
strange security of them. a sort
of... family, you could say. it
keeps his mind off of darker things.
not like they enjoy having him around.
he doesn't talk about anything much.
he's mostly just bitter, sarcastic, and
hates what the world has become.
it's natural, nobody blames him, but
it can still come as an annoyance.

tom is not sure he's ready for love or
even friendship, because he's not ready
for the heartbreak. losing his wife and
six-year-old daughter hurts enough, but
having something like that happen again?
forget about it. tom has promised not to
form attachments. he barely even has
one to his own dog. or, as he refers to him,
his daughter's dog.
