Dakota's life got started when her mother, who happened to be a prized purebred Arabian mare, escaped the temporary barn she was kept at after being shipped from across the country had been broken into by horse burglars who wanted to get their greedy hands on the million dollar priced horses. Dakota's mother blindly took off, and found herself in unfamiliar territory. She eventually met up with a stallion, taught the ways of the wild, and later made into the leader of her own herd. After Dakota was born, she grew up in the rocky and rugged mountains, where she grew accustomed to the weather and terrain. A few years later, she came across another hot headed mare like herself, and the minute they met eyes, they wanted each other dead. Their battles have become relentless and endless, and their blood lust for each other has only grown stronger. And with their own flaws and advantages that prevent a final victor, we may never see the end of it.

Her sire, a flashy mix breed who was bored of life inside the corral, got his debut when he decided to test out some new barriers with his human companions. After escaping his previous life, he met a lonely mustang mare lost from her herd, and joined up. Though making it far enough to find a mare and get her pregnant, he did not make it long enough to last outside of the protection and care his past companions were able to provide. After Hikari was born, and able to be out on her own, she was quickly separated from her mother and killed by bachelor stallions after she fought her hardest to protect her only born. Hikari watched the gruesome act, and aspired to become like her mother, who had a fighting spirit deep down inside. That spirit was challenged years later by another temperamental mare.
