much has happened since we have moved. many died due to a spour leaf-bare. many died of starvation. many died of predators. but I blame myself for them all. now, we are looking for more cats, we are in a weak state for now. but when are stronger, you will regret messing with us.

Something about Brightpaw has always seemed...off. Sure, she's a very intelligent young cat, and she has always put on a brave face, even if up against certain failure. Her mentor constantly praises her obedience and skills in the area of medicine, too.

But...some cats say she's insane. Sure, she's paranoid, everyone knows that, but she's not crazy! Others claim that she has no emotions – detached. And yes, it is true that she didn't seem incredibly sad when her parents left, but she had a hard kit-hood. Others still have said that she is manipulative, and will do anything it takes to get her way.

brief history
Brightpaw was supposedly born to Badgerfur and Cherrycloud alongside Snowkit and Frostkit, but she didn't know her real mother until later, who was actually OakClan's medicine cat at the time, Blossomleaf. Unfortunately, when the clan did find out, the results were not pretty. Blossomleaf was exiled, and Badgerfur went with her.

The details are blurry, but Brightpaw wasn't the most well-behaved kit. Far from it. Very far. Snowkit died at the age of four moons by Brightpaw's claw and fang. The molly claimed that she had seen a "Dark Forest cat" in Snowkit, and had merely been erasing it from her sister's soul. This was the first evidence of her paranoia. Cherrycloud was unwilling to believe that Brightpaw had murdered her own sister, so she blamed the incident on a fox.

Moons later, when Brightpaw and Frostpaw began their apprentice training, Frostpaw died mysteriously as well. The molly went to Brightpaw for help with a bellyache. After being given "juniper" berries, the she-cat fell to the floor, dead. Brightpaw truly believed that she had given Frostpaw the correct remedy. But when she told her mentor what had gone wrong, she claimed that Frostpaw must have been afflicted with something worse than a bellyache, and the juniper had only made it worse.
Many in the clan do not trust Brightpaw, although Cherrycloud has done her best to dissuade them. They do not voice their suspicions around the molly, however, for fear of her reaction.

Ashwing is considered by many a good role model, and a prime example of a good warrior. He is a brave, loyal fighter as well as a friendly clanmate. Unfortunately, the moon has a dark side, too.

Ashwing is quite stubborn – intent on getting his way – and this can sometimes lead to disputes with cats of higher rank. Despite his intelligence, he is quite impulsive, which has saved lives on occasion, but had also endangered cats as well. His arrogance was quite noticeable during his time as an apprentice, but many cats brushed it off as, well, the competitive nature of apprentices. Unfortunately, when he became a warrior, this boastful nature remained with him. It has backed off somewhat, though. Some have also said that Ashwing can be very judgmental. This is probably referring to his opinions on the medicine cat apprentice, Brightpaw, which are not completely unfounded.

brief history
Ashwing's life has been pretty normal. He was born to Leafpelt and Cloudclaw, alongside his sister, Cherrycloud. From the start, he was a fighter, and that was always his strong point during his apprenticeship. He was never great at stealthiness, but his tactical skills are to be admired.

When Cherrycloud took Frostkit, Brightkit, and Snowkit in, Ashwing was immediately suspicious. He knew that Cherrycloud and Badgerfur had never been close, and the idea that they would have kits together was appalling. The tom voiced his suspicions to the leader, and Blossomleaf's treachery was discovered. Cherrycloud never did find out that Ashwing was the one who had caused the light to shine on the lie.

The treachery only continued, however, when Snowkit was found dead. Cherrycloud blamed it on a fox, but Ashwing knew the look in her eye as she lied – he had seen it many times when they were kits. Later, when Frostpaw died, Ashwing's suspicions immediately centered on Brightpaw. The molly was a good liar, but he could see through her ruse.

Ashwing tries to steer clear of the medicine den whenever he can, and only gives voice to his suspicions around his closest friends. Instead, he focuses on doing his warrior duties to the best of his ability. Perhaps one day he'll be deputy.

Cherrycloud is quite the gentle cat. She'd make a great mother, and she did, to Frostpaw, Brightpaw, and Snowkit, despite not actually being related to the trio. Before the incident, she was well-liked by most of the clan for her friendly and optimistic nature. Afterwards, though, the clan didn't trust her nearly as much.

Surprisingly, Cherrycloud is a very good liar. She was not born to lie, however, and this has caused her to become paranoid and anxious. Although, some of the things she's seen had to have contributed to that as well. After the incident, she lost her outgoing ways and became more shy and reserved, as well.

brief history
Cherrycloud was born to Leafpelt and Cloudclaw with Ashwing, her brother. She was always the more gentle and caring one of the littermates, but she could never seem to keep a tom. Her apprenticeship was a bit rocky, mainly because she couldn't get the hang of fighting and didn't have a knack for hunting. She passed her final assessment, though, and became a warrior with her brother.

Unfortunately, a dark cloud hangs over her time as a warrior. A tom who had also become a warrior with Cherrycloud, Badgerfur, approached her a few moons after their ceremonies. He told her that the medicine cat, Blossomleaf, was pregnant with his kits, and he needed Cherrycloud to act like the mother. She agreed. Frostkit, Snowkit, and Brightkit were made out to be the daughters of herself and Badgerfur, and the clan bought it for a while, before someone voiced their suspicions to the leader, and Badgerfur and Blossomleaf were banished. From that moment on, the clan looked at Cherrycloud with disgust and distrust.

It only worsened, when Cherrycloud witnessed four-moon-old Snowkit's murder by the fangs of her own sister, Brightkit. The molly felt sympathy for the young kit, however, and blamed the incident on a fox. But when Frostpaw died moons later, supposedly from a misdiagnosis on Brightpaw's part, Cherrycloud had her suspicions. She tells no one, however, as she feels that she would be torn apart for playing up the fox ruse the entire time. Besides, she would feel much too guilty for betraying Brightpaw, who, despite her flaws, she has come to love like a daughter.
