Time goes by fast. The hands on the clock seem to move so quickly you cannot keep up. Doors close, curtains are pulled, beds moved, shifts change. A new emergency every few hours. Full moons are the worst.
A snapping glance, an admiring brush of the hand. Heart pumping quickly, feet moving like there is nothing underneath them.
Tired eyes, exhausted body. Every movement as numb as the last. Each action more normal than breathing.
Death.
More rushing. Stop. Rest. Shifting eyes in the dark, words that ignite the energy that was unknowingly there. Going again. The clock never ends.
