buck is this particular dog's name, originally owned by a breeder he was sold to the the o'malley family at a very young age, young enough that he doesn't remember much of his family. he was raised to be a sled dog which has led to some desirable traits as well as some undesirable traits. for one he's intelligent, he tends to know what he's talking about and has a knack for figuring out any problem he comes across. he's also quite observant, he sees and hears everything around and pays close attention to it even if it seems as though he isn't. but that's simply do to his typically silent process, he doesn't voice every opinion he has since he feels no need to. these are a few of the traits which have made him into a good lead dog. he sees and reacts appropriately and thus far has been able to help keep the team on track. unfortunately the good traits can sometimes be overshadowed by bad ones. being in the lead as long as he has has caused his mindset to become stuck in "leader" mode. He rarely follows orders from others and will quickly attempt to jump into the position of leading things. even the o'malley family sometimes has trouble making the brute follow their lead. there's also the one, minor tendency he has of being entirely over protective even when uncalled for. sometimes he'll get carried away and even the smallest little thing will cause him to become aggressive and to protect those he considers close to him - mainly the o'malleys and other sled dogs. there are times where he's also sarcastic and will than remain oblivious to the fact that he used sarcasm where it certainly wasn't needed.
