hello there. i'm arcadian and this is my repository/stock/black hole/another-synonym-for-storage-here center. this is where i will keep my characters and also put random bits of coding because i am lazy and just stitch items together on paint.
really though is just a place for me to save forms for later use and to clean up them up.

ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ ｏｖｅｒｖｉｅｗ: audrey does not like pity. at all. it's hard to avoid said pet peeve with half an arm, but audrey avoids this as much as possible; do her own tasks, avoid asking for help, don't let people get to close. she's learned to dress, eat, shower and even shoot a gun by herself. because of her condition she may seem a bit standoffish at first because she doesn't want people to try and help her. she's learned too many times in the past that people will only befriend her so they could feel like a good samaritan. however, after she opens up to people, she's a warm individual who would rather listen than speak. she likes when people can confide to her whatever they're feeling.

ｈｉｓｔｏｒｙ: clio is an incredibly tiny town whose population just managed to make it over 700. the phrase "everyone knows everyone" applies here. as a child, audrey frequently roamed from friend's house to friend's house. part of the reason for this was because she was avoiding her home life. her mother passed when she five and her father went off to the bigger towns and cities to gamble - he was an addict. he never showed much compassion to his daughter because she reminded him of his wife too much.

audrey contemplated running away when she sixteen which basically meant she was going to live with her grandparents, who lived two hours away. the night she left was cold and rainy and she had just gotten her driver's license, meaning she had little experience driving. as she was making a left turn she miscalculated how far to turn and ended up crashing into a guardrail. her left arm ended up being pinned between her seat and the car door and, in the end, she ended up getting everything from her elbow down amputated. over the past four years she's been slowly learning to adapt to live with one and a half arms and has gotten pretty good at doing everything with one hand.

when the apocalypse began her town, at first, was secluded enough and unaffected due to the low population. when the actual process of turning into a zombie was still unknown, infected victims came to the town for help and ended up bringing the zombies to clio. audrey managed to learn to defend for herself and a year and a half traveling she found her way up north.

ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ ｏｖｅｒｖｉｅｗ: poppy has a very... refined palette that she's developed ever since she started to really harness her skills. she won't choose just any individual to give her their energy. because of this she's a judgmental, opinionated, blunt individual. she likes to find the faults in people simply because it makes them seem more real (she is, after all, supposed to be a myth). of course she doesn't want to hurt feelings but... who is she kidding; if someone places themselves on a mighty pedestal, poppy will be the one to tear them down. she knows this isn't the way to make friends but she isn't one to conform to others. all the while she still manages to use that succubus charm. when she isn't busy vocally or silently judging she's a quiet, observational individual who surprisingly understands the art of listening.

ｈｉｓｔｏｒｙ: there isn't much in poppy's past to shine light on. her parents made sure to start training her from the beginning so that, by the time she was a teenager, she didn't have to be supervised; while others were learning their ABCs, poppy was learning self-control. the only skeletons in her closet are literally skeletons. the first few times she's tried to be intimate with another, it ended just fine for her but horribly for them. this has caused her family to move multiple times since her parents believed she still needed help. every now and then her nightmares will be frequented with these past lovers and, when this happens, poppy refuses to get close to anyone for fear that she'll go too far.

ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ ｏｖｅｒｖｉｅｗ: david embodies the "curiosity killed the cat" spirit. his parents taught him to go after whatever makes him curious, whatever makes him want to expand his knowledge; it'll all be worth it in the end. he may or may not have broken some bones in the past because of this motto but his inquiring personality has never faded. he wholeheartedly enjoys new experiences and peoples and tries to draw a little lesson from each encounter. he doesn't let pretty things bother him because they're not worth spending any energy over. he will, occasionally, experience bouts of homesickness because he's a family kind of person and will go into a pouty, moody state when he's like this.

ｈｉｓｔｏｒｙ: david was raised by two archaeologists. though they weren't anywhere near like indiana jones, their job led david and his older sister clara around the united states, canada and mexico. david's life was full of travel and awe as he was able to take in new cultures and experiences. but his parents still believed in an education, so throughout all this travel and wonder he and his sister had to take online classes; this turned out to be better than expected when he finished both high school and college earlier than anticipated. all of the king's adventure led to how he is today, adventurous and curious. when he was twenty-two, and out of college as a business manager, he roamed the united states on his own, mostly taking up odd jobs to support him. nothing has really caught his attention, which is why he decided to give seaside town a chance.

why this eager beaver is hazel swanson! she is an all american woman at the ripe age of twenty-one (but don't tell her old man that she drinks some bootleg liquor. she can't help herself!) she is heterosexual and is too busy exploring the world to begin to even think about settling down or finding a man.

hazel is a woman of her time: outgoing, spunky, adventurous. she's learned to never take "no" for an answer and to always say "yes." the changing times in america opened her mind to the new life she could have. no longer would she have to be her father's possession. she could be her own person! this also makes her a very stubborn person since she now will fight for whatever she wants no matter how small it may seem to someone else. she is a fiercely loyal person and once she makes friends with someone you can always count on her. if she isn't out partying, she likes to curl up with a good book and read in the windowsill of her apartment which overlooks the busy nyc streets.

hazel's life turned upside down when the war with germany happened. she was sixteen when the war started and she did her part by recycling and using food stamps. then, when the war ended, she was swept up in the feminist movement and the fight to vote. her mother had died when she was six and her father went to the reserves so the freedom she had during the wartime made her excited about changing things - breaking social norms, cutting her hair, showing her calves. it was all the bee's knees to her. she moved out of her home in long island in 1919 and headed to the big apple. she easily found herself a job as a telephone operator; people gotta make calls! after six months of hard work she saved up enough money to buy herself a real woman get-up: the dress, the head band, the pearls and shoes. from then on she and her friends have been hitting the new york clubs, finally experiencing their own happiness and not having to rely on a man or worry about getting cabin fever from being inside all day. their life was theirs.

this is chloe sanders, one half of the sanders
twins. these two aren't like the stereotypical
movie twins; you know, when one is an extrovert,
varsity-sports players while the other is a
complete introvert. yes, they have their
differences but they aren't polar opposites.

chloe is a quirky, opinionated individual who
isn't afraid to say what's on her mind. these
opinions aren't rude. in fact, they're the total
opposite. she likes the idea of helping others
and enjoys when people confide in her. she's
a loyal friend to have and will always have
someone's back. as one could see from her
appearance - dyed hair, multiple tattoos -
she's not one to conform to traditional views.
she likes to break down barriers and never
look back.

she can, however, become easily frustrated.
when this happens she'll go off on people mainly
because she just wants to be left alone. even
connor can't help her when she's like this.
this mood happens every now and then but
isn't a rarity in her persona. she can also
become very self-conscious at times. this has
led her to dye her hair different colors or cut
it on a whim. once or twice she's had to cover
up old tattoos with new ones because she
second-guessed herself.

meet the other half, connor sanders. like his sister he's quite outgoing and up for any type of adventure. his motto is to always say "yes" and be open to help anyone or anything. he's kind of like a good samaritan. he's open-minded and likes to listen to other's point-of-views, making him a very good listener unlike chloe who's kind of a loud mouth. he wholeheartedly enjoys new experiences and people and tries to draw a little lesson from each encounter, make himself a better person and all. he doesn't let pretty things bother him because they're not worth spending any energy over. the only thing that bothers him is when people make rude comments about his friends or family.

connor is quite curious and this could make him a bit annoying because he likes to ask questions and pry into someone's life. if someone brushes him off he'll work harder to find out what he wants to know. chloe always jokes about how he should be a journalist and not a secretary because of this. along with being sometimes annoying, he also has a habit of wandering off. while this might not be an issue now that he's an adult, his parents had to call the police a few times in the past because connor would just disappear at the most random times. his excuse is that he wanted to go see something or "check something out" and had simply "forgot" to tell anyone.
