Windrace was very frail by the time Swiftpaw’s apprenticeship was coming up. A month after Swiftpaw’s ceremony her mother lost her life to greencough and Swiftpaw couldn’t help but blame herself for her mother’s death even though time after her time her father told her that it was nowhere near her fault. Many think Swiftpaw’s quietness comes from her mother’s death.
